It’s inspiring to see someone breaking stereotypes in a profession that has traditionally been male-dominated. Her professionalism, friendliness, and expertise really stand out. 21/02/2026: I would have liked to give it a zero, but oh well... I was there this summer with a friend. A waiter with a shaved head, if I remember correctly, and rather short, took our order without being either pleasant or unpleasant (the terrace was literally empty in the middle of July at 1 p.m., which should have tipped me off). The problem was the other waiter (the owner?), a man in his mid-30s to early 40s, of average height, with a brown beard, who constantly and unbearably stared at the girl I was with (he probably thinks he's George Clooney in his head). And when it came time to pay, it was even worse; he was very inappropriate and made the young woman uncomfortable. It was as if he'd never seen a woman before, and I know the girl felt it too, since she told me about it herself. It's unbelievable to behave like that, customer advice: ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT if you want to have a good time there is no shortage of choice in the old port.

30/03/2026: We had never tried bouillabaisse before, so we chose to go to Fonfon, renowned for serving one of the best in Marseille. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to our expectations. The broth served was very thin and quite watery, far from the richer, slightly thicker texture usually associated with this iconic dish. As for the fish, it seemed a bit dry. This impression was reinforced after recently watching a documentary on television featuring a very different bouillabaisse: a darker, richer broth, accompanied by fish that was clearly much better prepared. Furthermore, one of our companions simply wanted fish soup, which was, incidentally, very good. However, the waiter insisted we order two appetizers, refusing to serve us just one on the pretext that we weren't ordering main courses. This practice particularly surprised us: it's the first time we've encountered this type of demand in a restaurant. Given the price (€65), we were quite disappointed with the experience, which didn't match our expectations or what we'd seen elsewhere. The rest of the dishes, however, were very good.

30/03/2026: I made a reservation to celebrate my 64th birthday. We were shown to a nice table, and settled down for hopefully a great experience. We weren't asked if we wanted an aperetive, but we requested them anyway, but weren't given time to enjoy them as our starter arrived whilst we were still half way through them. The seiche starter was actually very good, as was the bottle of Cassis red. My partner's Bouillabaisse arrived, and was in general ok, apart from sand in one fish, which we should have complained about at the time. My assiette de pêcheurs was full of good quality well cooked fish, but way too much on the plate, and lacking in presentation. We chose the profertoles, which the waiter kindly and correctly advised us to share, these were very good. I was twice asked if I wanted coffee with the desert, and twice had to say not now, after my desert With better presentation, more manageable portions and less hurry, it would have been a far better experience. All in all, rather disappointing birthday treat.

15/04/2026: I've been going to this restaurant for several years and it's always a real pleasure. For the past few months, I've been coming once or twice a week, and the quality is consistently excellent. The welcome is impeccable, the staff is attentive and responsive, and the service is quick without ever being rushed. The dishes are superb, perfectly executed, and the atmosphere makes every visit enjoyable. Another real plus is the easy parking nearby. A well-deserved 5/5.

12/04/2026: I've been ordering from Peppe Pizza since I moved to the area a few months ago. My first delivery was a very pleasant discovery, especially the crispy pizza, and the delivery was fast! Over time, the crust has become less and less crispy, and I can no longer find the same delicious pizza flavor. I called to report that the crust wasn't crispy (the third time in two months), and they told me to wait and then hung up on me. I called again, waited three minutes, and nothing happened (there weren't many deliveries that evening). Previous deliveries were delayed (up to 20 minutes). I won't be ordering from them again because I'm tired of wondering if I'll actually get the same great pizza I tasted the first time. Special mention to the delivery driver who brings the pizza right to your door 🙏

06/04/2026: Bad experience at Pepe Pizza. We saw a mouthwatering video on TikTok and decided to try it. The pizzas are very expensive for the minimal toppings. I ordered the Camembert pizza for over €16, and it ended up with more arugula than cheese. I come here to eat a pizza, not a salad! It was truly awful. Also, be careful when you put the honey on; my pants got completely dripped from the container, and I had to spend the rest of the evening without pants, just with a towel around my hip. 🤣 Furthermore, when we went to order in person, we were surprised to find that we couldn't pay by card, even though the delivery driver next to us had a card reader. I'm not sure that's entirely legal... In short, remember to withdraw cash before ordering, or better yet, go to another pizzeria.
