29/05/2026: A very pleasant dinner on the terrace in a simple and welcoming atmosphere, delicious local produce, heartfelt cuisine – we thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner is incredibly kind and gentle. You must go!

08/06/2026: We spent two nights in the largest room, which was easily comparable in size and amenities to what we often find in 4-star hotels. A plumbing problem (blockage and gurgling noises) spoiled our first night; reported in the morning, the issue was immediately addressed by the young team (with a drain cleaning truck), who very graciously offered us the rest of the night. A hotel (and café-restaurant) to remember and recommend if you are traveling in southern Cantal and northern Aveyron.

26/05/2026: Young, friendly, and welcoming staff. The restaurant has a short menu (mostly homemade) and excellent value for money. They even have a swimming pool!

01/07/2026: We ate very well 😊 hearty evening menu with a 'small' Auvergne salad that puts many so-called XXL salads to shame, excellent truffade, very good local beers and attentive service with a smile, calm atmosphere in the small side alley, very pleasant in the middle of the heatwave.

02/06/2026: To visit the Cantal region, we chose Nathalie and Lionel's inn. We were welcomed with smiles and kindness. The service was top-notch. The room was comfortable and everything was very clean. We discovered delicious dishes prepared and explained by Nathalie. We appreciated their humor, their explanations about local attractions, and the Tuesday evening game of pétanque. A big thank you to you both for these relaxing and convivial moments.

30/05/2026: We stayed in a very pleasant room for one night, with a comfortable bed, a clean room, and a peaceful atmosphere. The icing on the cake was that I slept in a former school, in the teacher's room, which had been renovated, of course. We had dinner and breakfast there, all homemade and delicious. A real treat! Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive. The village of 200 inhabitants is truly ideally located for exploring the region by car or for beautiful hikes. The scenery is magnificent and rejuvenating. You can also ask Nathalie and Lionel for advice. We will definitely return as soon as we go to the Cantal region. I highly recommend it. Go there; you will be delighted both with the food and the sights in a comfortable and welcoming setting.

25/04/2026: Excellent family lunch: the appetizers, the flavorful and perfectly cooked Salers beef, the cheese platter, and the dessert—everything was delicious and of high quality. The service was very friendly. The chef, Didier Guibert, even came to greet us at the end of the meal to make sure we were satisfied. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful time!

13/04/2026: A reliable choice in Aurillac: the setting lacks a bit of warmth and the portions tend to be smaller than they used to be, but it's still well-prepared and very tasty. Unusually for Aurillac, there's a chef in the kitchen.

10/06/2026: This place is as beautiful inside as it is outside. The location is simply magnificent, with its view of the Auvergne mountains. As the sun sets, the place becomes even more magical. And what can be said about the village of Salers, with its ancient stones and medieval atmosphere? As for the hotel, it pays a beautiful tribute to the surroundings. Excellent in every way, the on-site restaurant is of very high quality, all served by a dynamic and friendly staff. A truly beautiful image of France!

02/06/2026: We enjoyed the spa for two hours. The welcome was truly exceptional, filled with kindness and attentiveness. The facilities are very welcoming and clean. We had a wonderful time, with a beautiful view in a peaceful and rejuvenating setting. I highly recommend it.

11/05/2026: The green salad was clearly not fresh, as it was rotten in places. The dishes weren't great: the pizza crust was soggy, and the lentil risotto was sickening (far too much parmesan and undercooked eggplant). The service was too slow, and the excuse given (it was very busy) is unacceptable; there weren't more people than the number of seats available (they should staff accordingly).

07/05/2026: A very good experience at this charming restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good quality with affordable prices. The only slight downside was that two dishes arrived a little lukewarm, but it wasn't a big deal. In short, I recommend this place.

06/06/2026: A fantastic find! The owner is lovely, the pizzas are generously topped and homemade—we thoroughly enjoyed them! We'll be back; I have a 50cm pizza I'd like to try.

21/02/2026: A great stop in Pierrefort! A very warm welcome in a splendid setting; excellent lunch, fresh produce, and reasonable prices. Definitely not to be missed! We didn't stay overnight, but we'll do that next time 🙂
