01/10/2026: A disaster! My son was taken to the emergency room on Tuesday evening, September 29th, and was released on Wednesday, September 30th, after an assault and a broken jaw! An operation is scheduled at the Bordeaux hospital to have a plate fitted. The emergency room staff organized the process and gave my son the appointment letter for his surgery two days later. The day before the surgery, we realized the appointment letter wasn't even in his name! Unacceptable! I called the emergency room because he couldn't speak, and they didn't know anything; they had nothing in his file except a prescription! They transferred me to the receptionist, who also didn't know and said they would call me back! Unacceptable! The basics of taking the patient's name and recording the correct information are unacceptable! Serious professional negligence! The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning, and we're stuck without knowing what to do!

17/07/2026: Our experience was very disappointing. We had specifically requested a double room, which cost €33, as we had requested. However, we were automatically placed in a private room, which was much more expensive for our health insurance, under the pretext that it was covered. This practice is unacceptable. The fact that health insurance reimburses a service does not give the right to impose it on the patient, especially when they have clearly expressed a different preference. It's hard not to see a financial motive behind this for the hospital, since a private room is more profitable than a double room. In addition, we had to stay in a room where the temperature was around 30°C, without air conditioning. The sheets were disposable, and there wasn't even a carafe of water or a glass available for those accompanying us. On the other hand, we were given a welcome bag as a gift. Frankly, that's not what we expected. What matters most is the quality of the welcome, respect for patients and their companions, and dignified hospital conditions. We are not just social security numbers. Behind every file, there are human beings who deserve to be heard, respected, and taken into consideration. I leave this experience deeply disappointed. I felt that the financial aspect took precedence over the well-being of the patients. The Hippocratic Oath is supposed to place the patient at the heart of all concerns. Unfortunately, in our case, we felt that economic considerations had overridden the human values ​​that should guide care.

29/01/2026: Hello, we think it would be helpful to review this with more recent reviews! We made a reservation for a birthday. On the day, we received a call two hours beforehand to cancel our reservation. Given our disappointment (we're new to Angoulême), we were eager to try the restaurant... after 10 minutes, they offered us takeout. You can do takeout but not dine in? 🤔🤔 We went to "Jardin de Kashmir," which we know, and at least there was no disappointment. A big THANK YOU to them for having us. We'll be looking for somewhere else in Angoulême to eat good couscous.

01/04/2026: The service was frankly appalling; barely a hello, and the saleswoman was incredibly unfriendly. The sandwiches were practically thrown into your pocket. The atmosphere in the shop was frightening.

27/06/2026: A very pleasant inn on the edge of the Montrollet pond. A calm and peaceful place with very kind people!

26/09/2026: We went to this bar for a drink before our tour of the ramparts... we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order, even though there weren't many people on the terrace... in short, a completely overwhelmed waiter. The toilets are filthy. It's the same every year, avoid it at all costs 😡

20/09/2026: On September 19th, we sat on the terrace to have drinks… when ordering, we had to change our order several times because they didn't have what we asked for, namely "Orangina, Pulco lemon, Picon beer, Martini, etc." The waiter's excuse was that we're a night bar… I don't see the connection. One thing is for sure: for the weekend of the ramparts festival, you have to plan ahead because you're bound to have a lot of people. As for the person who comes to take our payment, she is very unpleasant and rude. I strongly advise against going there.
