04/09/2024: I came across the wrong day. I'm disappointed. Lack of staff, lack of organization, lack of products. Do not come on a public holiday.
Missed birthday. 2h30 for just 1 dish.
Coffee for 5.5€ without even a chocolate or biscuit. This clearly shocked me.
16/08/2024: Superb evening on the terrace at the Distillerie, restaurant at the Hôtel du Chais Monnet.
Exceptional setting on the terrace or in the room. Good cooking, hearty dishes and very good desserts including a Cognac Baba!
Staff present and very attentive. Without a false note for a very fair price given the setting and the quality of the products.

It would be better if she didn't have any, at least there would be a chance that she would wash her hands from time to time...
All this to take the cakes by hand (always with the famous gloves, which she also wore a few minutes before to sweep or to collect for example)
I tried to start the conversation about hygiene but it's completely useless. This is apparently not a subject that speaks to him!!
It’s a shame when you work in the food industry!
Finally she put the cake back in the window because I went elsewhere!!

22/08/2024: Excellent Asian buffet. Wide choice of dishes, including a teppanyaki section (you choose the raw ingredients and the chef prepares them for you in a sauce of your choice). Reasonable prices and top service. I will go back.
18/08/2024: 14€90 for a Sunday lunch: only positive point.
No table service, no smile, plates not cleared. Average buffet and outdated and outdated decoration. There are better in Angoulême.

07/09/2024: Nous nous sommes arrêtés par hasard sur la route du retour de vacances et n’avons pas regretté ce choix! Super accueil malgré le monde. Service rapide et souriant. Un très bon menu à un prix plus que raisonnable.
Vraiment, cela fait longtemps que nous n’avions pas connu cela en France! Nous recommandons vivement ce restaurant au rapport qualité prix imbattable !
27/08/2024: The person who manages this bar prefers his regulars, which I can understand, but when you run this type of business, being pleasant is the key! not a smile is borderline if we annoy him and when we leave they don't say goodbye.
What is certain is that we will not return to this café if we repeat the same route we took.

11/05/2024: Yesterday I stopped in your brasserie to kindly ask your employee to heat the bottle of my daughter who is two months old. Your employee responded to me in a shameful way, daring to ask to take a drink Or to give 1€ for Pattern for A bottle that spends 30 seconds in a microwave I would like to believe that life is expensive at the moment, but things are a bit excessive especially for a two month old infant

13/09/2024: We had a really great lunch, and each course was a new taste experience. I especially loved the Truffle dish. Our menu gave us a range of courses featuring a wonderful selection of ingredients and preparation techniques. We loved them all. Service was relaxed, and our server was very knowledgeable and described the dishes in detail, so we really appreciated them. He was genuinely interested in our thoughts, and he made it all more enjoyable. We had a memorable lunch that we feel was very good value for money. If we are in the area, we will return.
28/08/2024: Le restaurant étoilé propose des plats avec peu de saveurs. Le plat principal, la lotte, est servi avec une sauce tellement vinaigrée que l’on ne sent rien d’autre. Le dessert unique dans les menus consiste en des tranches fines de pêche peu mûres, une boule de glace aux herbes et un choux extrêmement sec. Un dessert étoilé franchement? Il y a un menu végétarien qui ne contient que des légumes. Aucune légumineuse, aucune céréales : 0 protéines. Ils ne savent pas ce que doit contenir un menu végétarien.
Le bistro a quant à lui un très bon rapport qualité prix. Le tarte aux myrtilles est succulente et j’aurais de beaucoup préféré ce dessert dans l’étoilé.
Bref, allez plutôt au bistro si vous voulez profiter du lieu qui est franchement à découvrir.
