17/05/2026: One star because I can't give zero. We arrived 15 minutes before closing time (the terrace was packed with people, and our beers were still full). Our friends were already seated and still had full beers. I politely told them we wouldn't be more than 15 minutes to finish ours, and also so we wouldn't be without a drink while our friends finished theirs. It was no use; they said no, the bar was closed and they weren't serving any more beer.
13/05/2026: The glass and spoon of the requested Perrier with a slice of lemon were dirty!! Will not be repeated.

26/04/2026: Passing by on this lovely afternoon, €3.50 for a drink and the same price for a Snickers ice cream is very expensive. The order was taken by a waitress who didn't remember it, and after 15 minutes at the bar, another waitress came to take it.
The drinks came from 1.5L bottles.
It's really not great. I'll come back for another stroll along the banks of the Charente without eating here.
17/04/2026: A very warm welcome in a beautiful setting, and we had a wonderful meal.
Good value for money.

09/05/2026: It's a shame, I went when the place was under construction, so you had to go to another location to be served, a different place that manages two fast food restaurants, including Thai food. It was difficult to talk because of the noise. Despite the rather unpleasant service, the food was very good and we'll go back.

09/03/2026: Lemon meringue tarts bought on a Monday, very soggy pastry, rancid taste, marked with a felt-tip pen under the tray (bakeries do this to identify yesterday's products), except that Victor is closed on Sundays, so the tarts were from Saturday... Unacceptable... we're done with this chain 😡😡😡

29/01/2026: Hello, we think it would be helpful to review this with more recent reviews! We made a reservation for a birthday. On the day, we received a call two hours beforehand to cancel our reservation. Given our disappointment (we're new to Angoulême), we were eager to try the restaurant... after 10 minutes, they offered us takeout. You can do takeout but not dine in? 🤔🤔 We went to "Jardin de Kashmir," which we know, and at least there was no disappointment. A big THANK YOU to them for having us. We'll be looking for somewhere else in Angoulême to eat good couscous.

20/04/2026: It was quite pleasant on the terrace with friends, enjoying some delicious salads.
We arrived rather late, but we received excellent advice and had a great meal.

21/02/2026: Third visit, but we won't be back. They didn't offer daily specials, so we ordered, and then people next to us were offered beef bourguignon or kidneys, while we had nothing. We hadn't seen the sign at the entrance, which was hidden by chairs and other people... what we ordered was bland... what a shame...

I came from Poitiers to give birth in Cognac.
The staff were kind and attentive.
I had a wonderful birth, exactly as I wanted.
The hypnosis sessions beforehand were very beneficial.
If I had to go back to giving birth, I would choose this hospital again.
A top-notch team that truly listens to its patients.
Thank you again to the entire medical team! 😃
31/03/2026: The telephone reception service is appalling. This is the fifth time I've tried to cancel an appointment, and each time I'm told they're transferring me to the appropriate department. It's impossible to get through to the service; I've been on hold for over 45 minutes and still haven't been able to cancel my appointment. I live in Angoulême. Do I have to travel there in person to cancel an appointment? I find this unacceptable.

- Reasonable prices (hotel and restaurant).
- Spacious rooms.
- The restaurant, generous portions and very good.
- The welcome and table service.
- Canal+ and Wi-Fi, which worked well.
Negative points:
- The woodwork needs replacing.
- The rooms (hotel in general!) are a bit dated.
I went back 8 months later to ask for an invoice (for tax purposes) which they refused to give me...

I had booked 5 months ago and as soon as I arrived on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 7 p.m., I found the door closed.

09/01/2026: I used to love this bar, especially for its Latin atmosphere. The music was fantastic and perfectly reflected the place's character! Unfortunately, that's no longer the case; it's a bar that no longer plays Latin music and doesn't stand out from the other bars downtown. I hope it comes back someday!

14/12/2024: What a disappointment... It's been a long time since we've been to McDonald's.. And I understand better why.. As I write these lines.. We ordered 2 menus.. Arrives at our house.. No bigmac. 9.85e offered for them.. Very lucky that I am more than 30 terminal.. And my wife had a crispy Mac instead of a chicken Mac.. So there is another customer who must have had a big Mac and Mac chicken... Anyway... It's okay, I'm not going to starve. But the bullet thrown out the window sticks in my throat.
So check your orders carefully on site.. Because they are not very serious beginners..
07/12/2024: Getting worse and worse, again last night we ordered a "mcExtrem 2 meats" there was only one meat in our sandwich, and 3 CBOs ordered but only 2 in the bag. With each order there is a problem, it becomes really heavy and we end up wondering what the problem will be with each order..

15/01/2025: Super delicious restaurant, friendly service and really good food. We were a large party of 11 people, so we got a bit different to eat but everything was perfectly cooked. Located in a small cozy town, very busy, so remember to book a table.

24/07/2024: Nous avons été attirés par le cadre enchanteur et la proximité de la Charente … jolie terrasse … tout commence bien …
Le serveur charmant nous demande d’éviter une entrée car la cuisine ne va pas suivre … bizarre … on prend le risque (nb une heure et demi après on était sortis )
Les plats sont fades. On fait mieux à la maison … le carbonara : on y a tous les quatre goûté, voici nos commentaires :
Pas bon ! Goutte l’eau ! Et perso j’y trouve un goût de vanille pas bon du tout !!!
La pizza est fade
Le rigatoni devient une simple pâte … sans intérêt
Bref n’y allez pas !
Point positif : le cadre à l’intérieur est très chouette …
