25/03/2026: Occasionally passing through La Couronne, I've tried this bakery to buy a ham, butter, and Emmental sandwich. Note: I have a lot of sandwich experience ;-) I just discovered a new sandwich concept there! In the display case, there's only a slice of ham, about 4 cm wide and 20 cm long (by sight), with pieces of butter (if you can call it butter) stuck on top and probably some cheese (Emmental?). You're asked to choose your bread (traditional, multigrain, or a third type). All the sandwiches are the same price regardless of the filling (ham, salmon, maybe rillettes, etc.): €5. When I say that I think €5 for a ham, butter, and Emmental is a bit expensive, I'm told (very politely, I should add): "That's because we use the whole baguette, and all our sandwiches are the same price." Um, we clearly have different definitions of a whole baguette. The size of my sandwich was just average. And I don't care that the salmon sandwich was also €5; I ordered a ham, butter, and Emmental... My €5 ham, butter, and Emmental was overpriced and disgusting. Absolutely disgusting! Bland, with no flavor whatsoever in either the bread (which was soggy) or the butter and tomato slices (yes, they put tomato slices in my ham, butter, and Emmental). I have rarely eaten such a bad sandwich, especially one that was expensive. I assure you, it was truly awful, not good at all! I will not be returning. Edit after the managers' response: I stand by what I said. I didn't say it wasn't fresh, but rather that it wasn't good and lacked flavor. Regarding the bread, I didn't say I didn't like it, but that the one I was given was soggy (traditional bread). Regarding the price, I must emphasize that €5 for a ham and butter sandwich with Emmental cheese is more expensive than elsewhere. For a truly good ham and butter sandwich with Emmental cheese, I recommend trying the "Point Chaud" at the Leclerc bakery in Châtellerault. It's less than €4.50, with excellent bread, delicious and generous ham, and real butter. Sincerely.

22/03/2025: The music and the decor immediately transport you to sugar cane countries. Guadeloupe, Reunion Island, Dominican Replica, Puerto Rico… all are gathered on the bar shelves to the delight of rum lovers. The privileged few present in the room enjoy their cocktail and their appetizer platter. Between bursts of laughter and noisy discussions, joy distills to the rhythm of a suave Bossa Nova. The boss, all smiles, welcomes you. But be careful, places are expensive! The brandy of ancient pirates has its fans even in the land of cognac! After careful study of the menu, opt for a Pina Colada or a Criolo. It's delicious. Once the order is taken, the bartender, wandering around behind his counter, then enters the scene. Like a true conductor, he begins to combine the aromas of alcohol, fruit and coconut milk without a false note. The bottles fly confidently into his hands until they fill the shaker. Then, he shakes it for a perfect marriage of fragrances before serving it with a slice of pineapple and a straw. From the first sip, an explosion of flavors delights your taste buds. Soft and light, like a cloud. A true moment of tranquility with a scent of delight. After a few sips, your eyes will certainly land on the top of the bar where it says: To love a country, you have to eat it, drink it and hear it sing. Well, with this cocktail, you will definitely fall in love with the Caribbean!

23/03/2026: A must-try. Magnificent restaurant from the 1900s. Very warm welcome and excellent service (thank you Maxime and Erwan). Dinner for four, reservations made. Prices are moderately high, à la carte menu: aperitif, charcuterie board, kidneys, local baked cheese, fries, desserts: everything was delicious.

06/10/2025: A very well-run hotel run by a charming, professional, and efficient couple. Madame welcomes and provides service with great patience, humor, and professionalism. She has a kind word for everyone, is always cheerful, and is energetic from morning to night. Both the father and son wear their chefs' hats with elegance and handle their whisks with love. The cuisine is delicious, refined, very well presented, and varied. The room is comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. I spent two weeks there for business. The house and the restaurant are always full. Whether you're staying for a few days or just one night, don't hesitate; it's worth the detour. I'll definitely be back!
