La Maison du Passeur
Bourg-Charente
17/09/2026: Magali and Seb are adorable, I'm going to miss you
06/06/2026: Having recently moved to Bourg-Charente three years ago, I discovered this friendly place as soon as I arrived. A warm welcome, lovely and accommodating owners (they didn't have my brand of cigar and didn't hesitate to order it for me).
In short, if you're passing through this town, hurry over; you won't regret it and you'll definitely be back.

Le Relais d'Etagnac
Etagnac
08/05/2026: The restaurant is spotless and clean, with a lovely buffet and excellent food!
The showers are spotless and excellent!
There's a large parking area for trucks and oversized vehicles.
I highly recommend this place!
08/04/2026: Good evening. We ate there on Wednesday, April 8th. The service is generally good. But today, not so great! What's more, a driver parked across the road! I reported it to the restaurant, and their response was: "I can't see anything from here." So, I conclude that drivers do whatever they want! Furthermore, I told him he had to move. He refused. So, I parked in front of him. He got out of his truck and even tried to hit me! He wasn't even scared. See the photos.

12/09/2026: Excellent wood-fired pizzas. The service (only one person) is a little slow, but it's worth the wait. I recommend this pizzeria.

Carré des Halles Angoulême, France
Angouleme
05/09/2026: Disappointing experience, cold welcome and unpleasant staff
05/09/2026: It's all well and good to use Uber, but being unable to explain why and how the order didn't arrive is completely unprofessional. No tracking on Uber, fine, but you're supposed to know who you're entrusting the order to and be responsible for checking if the customer received it.
It's shameful because we get ripped off quite a bit this way!

Le Marquant City
Angouleme
02/10/2026: We've been several times; the waiter is impeccable, smiling, and funny, but the meat isn't great. Every time we've been, the owner is sitting on the terrace. She spends her time complaining and talking very loudly. Her staff are working while she calmly watches...
26/09/2026: The Angus beef was absolutely perfect.
Very friendly welcome.
Thank you for everything.

La Plancha
Angouleme
30/09/2026: I wasn't even able to eat in that restaurant; it looked filthy and empty, which should have been a red flag. When I went to sit down, I came face to face with a cockroach. The waiter just swatted it away. After that, I simply left without eating; it was impossible for me to eat in a place like that.
24/09/2026: I very rarely leave reviews, but I wanted to highlight the kindness of the people who work there. The server who primarily looked after us was incredibly kind and patient and made us feel very comfortable. The second server was also very pleasant. Furthermore, the cooks did a fantastic job; the food was excellent.

Le Compostelle
Tusson
21/08/2026: The food is good, the setting charming. A slight deduction for the wine, which unfortunately didn't live up to expectations.
16/08/2026: We have been coming here for years, and Le Compostelle never disappoints. The service is welcoming and shows great knowledge of the menu and wine options. The food is always excellent and creative, the veal dish was outstanding. Strongly recommend coming here as much as possible
