06/06/2026: Having recently moved to Bourg-Charente three years ago, I discovered this friendly place as soon as I arrived. A warm welcome, lovely and accommodating owners (they didn't have my brand of cigar and didn't hesitate to order it for me). In short, if you're passing through this town, hurry over; you won't regret it and you'll definitely be back.

23/07/2026: Excellent welcome, which greatly facilitates family interactions and the integration of friends. Flexible scheduling. Pleasant conversation with attentive and helpful staff. For the quality of the food and drinks served, the prices are reasonable. In conclusion: I strongly desire to return with a larger group to share Portuguese specialties.

18/10/2025: Everything is homemade. The owner is genuine and welcoming. The three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) offers excellent value for money. A great place to eat when passing through Cognac.

02/07/2026: I personally can't complain. When I entered the parking lot, the owner came and asked me if I would stay for the evening. I parked in the indicated spot. The menu costs 16.50 euros. Shower 3 euros. Toilet free. There is a water fountain, but it is not suitable for drinking. You have a starter (choose from several types of salads, pasta, sausages, snails), main course, dessert or ice cream, wine or water. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly. The evening passed peacefully.

01/07/2026: A traditional French roadside diner, like the ones I've known for about forty years. All-you-can-eat buffet, daily special with six to eight choices, and cheese and dessert served. A caravanner for over 20 years and a motorhome owner for eight, I had dinner on a Wednesday evening around 8:30 pm. I was greeted at the bar by the owner, then by a smiling and energetic waitress. The service was quick and efficient. A very good, simple meal (very tender hanger steak and homemade lentils, according to my wife). In conclusion, a good roadside meal 🙂 before looking for a place to sleep south of Angoulême.

21/07/2026: A warm and friendly welcome. Here they advise you on choosing your coffee: whole bean or ground, and the same goes for tea. The staff is attentive to your tastes and gives the best advice. A wide selection and high quality. I highly recommend it. Bruno

11/03/2026: The setting is welcoming and the staff are friendly. However, I find it very expensive for two people: €17 for waffles, a flavored hot chocolate, a small flavored coffee, a little whipped cream on the waffles, and chocolate. It's still pricey.

26/11/2025: Wandering the narrow streets looking for a restaurant, I stopped and found a table at this small, simple but charming establishment. We ate in the vaulted dining room on the lower level. The service was very efficient. A very good meal. Kudos to the chef and his team.

15/06/2026: A pleasant lunch, warm goat cheese as a starter and a ribeye steak with Roquefort cheese as a main course. The setting is lovely, a small square in the middle of the village, under the trees.

23/05/2026: During our visit to the trade fair, we had a meal at Le Bilboquet. The ribeye steak was excellent and the dessert was perfect! A great place to eat in Aigre.
