19/02/2026: While passing through Bourges, we enjoyed a delicious couscous and tagine at this restaurant. It's a shame the food got cold quite quickly. Perhaps they could install a candle system under the dish to keep it warm so we could enjoy it until the end of the meal.

07/02/2026: What a wonderful surprise to have discovered this restaurant and dined at Aïcha's with my family! The setting is lovely, and Isma, Aïcha's daughter, is a very pleasant person who only added to the enjoyment of the meal. The couscous was divine; I've rarely tasted such delicious couscous. We will definitely return on our next trip to Bourges.

01/03/2026: I'll start my review with a minor drawback: a clear lack of staff. The owner, who is a good sommelier, had to serve the dishes while leaving the bottles on the table, without having time to pour the wines for us. It's a shame there wasn't a Bordeaux on the wine list. On the other hand, the meal was exquisite; the dishes were beautifully presented with exceptional flavors and excellent service. Despite these small details, we will return to this establishment where we had a wonderful evening.

28/02/2026: A mixed experience for this meal, on my birthday. A family meal with our 8-year-old son. I'll try to be as objective as possible; let's talk about the food: Top-notch. Dishes crafted with extreme precision, perfectly cooked, and incredibly fresh… I can say we ate very, very well. The tableware: incredibly inventive and absolutely beautiful! A taste of the ocean in Brittany. Now let's talk about the hiccups, which, for me, are almost unacceptable in a Michelin-starred establishment and for a bill of several hundred euros for four people. The atmosphere: COLD. Like the Breton wind from Finistère 😂 That's the word. There was absolutely no warmth. The service was rather rushed, and the response to my son's question about a dish was mediocre/barely adequate. My birthday? Not a single little gesture. (This isn't the first time I've gone to a restaurant like this for this occasion.) I had, however, mentioned this little event when making the reservation. I wasn't expecting a big party, but a small gesture would have been very appreciated. We asked for more bread… “We're out of bread, I didn't expect people to eat so much.” Okay. 😅 One last little point, which I'm sure will be “discussed” by other guests: Cheese, for goodness' sake!!! There are so many wonderful varieties of cheese in Brittany! It's a shame to forget them!

26/02/2026: It's always a great pleasure to come for lunch. The cuisine is excellent. The inventive chef creates delicious dishes and appetizers using local and seasonal produce. The service is attentive, and the sommelier is extraordinary. Her knowledge of vineyards is astonishing. The chef's work with non-alcoholic beverages is remarkable. Bravo to everyone for this wonderful experience.

26/02/2026: An exceptional place where excellence allows gastronomy to reach for the stars. A refined, intimate yet warm dining room. Tableware that enhances the presentation of each dish. An explosion of flavors and textures on every plate. A true symphony created by a gifted chef, brimming with imagination, with efficient and seamless black and white service. You will appreciate the Sologne caviar and cauliflower prepared in various textures, the perfectly cooked diver scallops with salsify and pork, the warm buffalo pâté en croûte, and the surprising yet magnificent dessert of black trumpet mushrooms, parsnips, and chocolate.

You can sense a genuine desire to do things well and offer a quality experience. The cuisine is refined and delicious, prepared with excellent ingredients, and the dishes are well-balanced. Everything is expertly executed, unpretentious yet full of flavor. The value for money is very reasonable, especially considering the quality offered and the location. In short, Au Rez de Chaussée is a sure bet: a warm, genuine, and pleasant place that we readily recommend and where we'll happily return.

10/03/2026: This is a great place with excellent food. The restaurant was full, but the very friendly staff still managed to set a table for us. All the dishes are homemade and delicious. 10/03/2026: Recommended for its reputation. Huge disappointment. Excellent service. Very pleasant waiters. Terrines as a starter. The pike main course was excellent, but they placed a dish for four and we served ourselves, which was a bit confusing, but not a big deal. The gratin dauphinois, on the other hand, was served canteen-style, scooped onto our plates. As for dessert, a shapeless and tasteless chocolate Charlotte accompanied by a choice of prunes in red wine, banana marmalade, etc.—all heavily alcoholic to give it flavor. ALL THIS FOR OVER €50 PER PERSON with a bottle of wine and coffee, but no aperitif. Let's not confuse authenticity with this vision of our local cuisine. The antique plates would be lovely if they weren't all chipped. We won't be back. Although the pike and regional cheeses are expensive, the rest—the terrine and dessert—are canteen-quality.

22/02/2026: Passing through Bourges, I decided, along with my little red sweater, to spend my last evening in a cozy and welcoming place. Despite the torrential rain, it was a resounding success. Xavier and his friends welcomed me like family. The people, the atmosphere, the food, the music—everything was perfect! What more can I say? La Pleine Lune will definitely be a must-visit on my next trip to Bourges! Hugs and kisses to you all, including my little guitarist, and see you soon!

10/03/2026: Reconciled with Buffalo Bourges, the cooking was perfect and the dish was piping hot and delicious. The waitress was pleasant.

08/03/2026: A lunch break with colleagues. The manager was pleasant, no complaints about the quality of service. As for the rest, it was passable; the food didn't impress me beyond Vierzon, but the portions were adequate.

23/09/2025: We arrived late on a Sunday lunchtime, wanting to have lunch: no service on Sundays, we were fooled by the sign outside "dish of the day 10€". The owner is charming and showed us where to have lunch, we came back for a good coffee before taking the train. I will stop there without hesitation if I come back one day

04/03/2026: The food was amazing! The location was great, but we were in a corner where the server never came, and we had to get up to ask for things, so that was a bad experience. Otherwise, the service was very friendly, everyone was kind. The value for money is fantastic, but be careful because they tried to rip us off. We ordered a mixed platter that cost around €18, and they charged us €52 without any explanation, describing it as a "maxi platter," even though that dish isn't even on the menu. Basically, they try to push it on you, and if it doesn't work, they'll refund you, as happened to us, but without even an apology. Simply put, it's a nice place with delicious food, but it's a shame about the inattentive service. Be very careful: check the bill thoroughly, because they try to rip you off, especially if they think you're not a local!
