The place is unusual and warm, the service is attentive and the meal was simply excellent.
Throughout the meal we were able to appreciate the local service while being very attentive but also the sharing of information on seasonal products from local producers.
The cuisine is fine and the cooking was just perfect, all enhanced by a bold selection of wine.
Nothing to say, they are two enthusiasts who do impressive work to amaze us and satisfy our taste buds.
It’s a great discovery as well as a great moment!

24/05/2024: We were in Sancerre for a week (biking, hiking, visiting wineries while a family member studied French at the school in town). We went to Pomme d'Or for dinner and it was one of the best meals I have ever had, certainly one of the best French meals - and this is coming from someone who does not tend to like long, fixed price menus. The service was friendly and down to earth, the atmosphere is modern yet comfortable, and the food and presentation was absolutely mind blowing. We would recommend Pomme d'Or over Maison Medard, which we visited the next night - less expensive, better flavors, more memorable dishes, and friendlier service.

10/03/2024: Good revelation, because I didn't know that there was a Sri Lankan restaurant in Bourges. High quality cuisine (from starter to dessert) with a smiling owner, who takes the time to explain the dishes he prepares live on request with quality products. The cooked recipes come from his grandmother. In addition, he prepares the cocktails himself with his own recipes. A very good value for money! Don't hesitate if you want to have a good time!

For 3 years we have been returning regularly to the Forge. What can I add? Except that it's still delicious, creative and the owners are still friendly. My 60th birthday celebrated with my family at La Forge will remain engraved. Thank you for this magical moment!

Located on what I think is their main street and there are super cards for parking spaces.
Extremely delicious dishes! Every dish surprised me. Only forgot to take a picture of the dessert and it was delicious - I got a chocolate mousse and every taste just made me happy.
The wine enthusiastic waiter who is probably also the (co)owner, he also spoke a little English. So you are not completely out of the water if you are not fluent in French.
