18/02/2026: I return every year to this magical castle for the pleasure of admiring its beautiful gardens, its sumptuous architecture that has evolved so beautifully over the centuries, and its stones reflected in the water. I had the pleasure of spending a few days there on my honeymoon 15 years ago. My husband worked as a guide there during his university holidays when he was younger. We will always return.

06/11/2025: A good visit and a very beautiful castle. The guided tour was very interesting, but we missed visiting some more rooms, to complete the visit. A clarification: On the internet the price of the visit is €6. I think they should change it, so as not to confuse the visitor. They charged us €10 per person. I personally think that these visits could be more complete. I see it as essential that the owners raise money to maintain and improve a heritage that without our contribution would be difficult to do. Thank you for the welcome and the explanations

15/04/2026: Not visited. Beautifully situated near the Pont de Guétin aqueduct. Accessible via a beautiful cycle path along the Canal Laterale de Loire. Photo of aqueduct.

13/04/2026: One star for the food and one star for the waitress who was incredibly kind and helpful; the rest goes to the owner who cut the power for being 10 minutes late (yes, really!) even though the room was booked for a private event for 25 people... knowing that the guests were leaving. She was also rude to the guests over a bottle of champagne bought by a customer celebrating her 30th birthday... even though all the wine was purchased at the restaurant. In short, over a minor misunderstanding, there are ways to behave and speak to customers... it's completely unprofessional and unprofessional of her.

02/04/2026: Excellent service from Valerie, a friendly team. One small complaint about the Caesar salad: the chicken wasn't cooked enough for me. I wouldn't order it again.

30/03/2026: A great breakfast break right off the highway! 🥐☕ I highly recommend this bakery/cafeteria for several reasons: Unbeatable value: The €5.70 set menu is excellent and includes everything you need. Quality products: Perfectly crusty bread, Isigny butter, Bonne Maman jam, and really good apple juice. Special mention for the café au lait served in a large glass with a beautiful foam! Service: The staff are always smiling, which is very pleasant. Cleanliness: The establishment is spotless, which is a real plus. A perfect stop to start the day off right before hitting the road again.

22/03/2026: A must-try restaurant, the food is simply excellent! The price-quality ratio is good 👍 and the service is impeccable and friendly. Highly recommended!!

06/03/2026: The place is stuck in the 80s. The decor is marred by paint splatters, even on the windows. Old stainless steel dishes. An elderly gentleman serving speaks so incoherently that he can neither hear nor understand what he's saying. No effort whatsoever in terms of service. The food was good, but that's where the positives end. Frankly, you have to know when to close a business and hand it over. At this point, it's already too late...

23/03/2026: Great decor, great food. It's a shame that on a Saturday night you have to adhere to the set times (7 pm and 8:45 pm check-out), otherwise there's a second seating at 9 pm...

11/04/2026: We ordered takeaway pizzas on a Friday evening. The restaurant was quite full, but the servers were incredibly attentive! Pleasant, kind, and efficient, they even let us sit on the terrace for a drink before picking up our pizzas. They were excellent, as were the spritzes. I highly recommend this place!

09/04/2026: In my opinion, it's not a restaurant that can be classified as an Italian one. The waiters are friendly, and the service is fairly average. The atmosphere isn't bad; it's clean and quiet. I didn't like the food. The pasta sauce for the meatballs wasn't rich enough. The flavor was too light for my taste. Enjoy!

09/03/2026: Nice place and welcoming staff. The atmosphere is rather calm for a Friday evening. The dishes are good but not always live up to the menu. For example, the violet crème brûlée was practically tasteless. I regret not having tried the sweetbreads; I'll have to try them next time. This visit, however, was disappointing compared to my first time there.

17/04/2026: WARNING! RACIST!! RACIST!! RACIST!! I very rarely leave negative reviews, but this time I can't stay silent. I stopped at this restaurant only because I had to exit the highway to recharge my electric car at the nearby charging station. There's practically nothing else in the area, so I went there out of necessity while my car was charging. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a woman at the register/bar, then by a man who appeared to be the owner. And honestly, I've never experienced such a cold and unwelcoming reception. No greeting, no politeness, no smile, mediocre service from beginning to end. Even when it came time to pay, the attitude was shocking. I went to the register, he looked me straight in the eyes, without a smile, without a word, without even a modicum of courtesy. Then he simply turned away to announce the price. I paid, he gave me my change, and that was it. Not a "thank you," not a "goodbye," not a word. Frankly, this attitude deeply shocked me. The meal was okay, but that absolutely does not make up for how I felt treated. I felt profoundly unwelcome, made to feel uncomfortable, and honestly, I felt like I was being treated this way because of my skin color. It's extremely shocking in 2026 to still experience this kind of situation in a restaurant. So, I want to warn people from diverse backgrounds, people of color, or anyone of foreign origin: think carefully before stopping here. For my part, I absolutely do not recommend this place. I almost never leave bad reviews, but this experience really shocked me, and I think it was important to say so that others don't have to go through the same thing.

You can taste the care put into the cooking, both in the flavor and the presentation. The service is pleasant and professional, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return.
