23/07/2026: Perhaps I'm overrating this pub, but after being turned away from the Scottish pub Murrayfield due to the poor service, we found O'Brian's to be wonderful. We had a very generous mixed platter, and they even agreed to substitute a cured meat we didn't like. A great variety and quality of beers. And the staff were very friendly.

16/07/2026: My partner and I were looking for a quiet yet authentic place to have a peaceful lunch, and we found it in this little village. It was a wonderful surprise, in an old village elementary school converted into a restaurant. The decor is simple yet elegant, with simple details that show how much care this place has put into it, like the fresh flowers at every table. The food is affordable, the portions are still generous, and the meal includes an entrée, main course, cheeses, and dessert for €20! The service is friendly and attentive, and the desserts, personally, stole my heart. I'm speechless. Highly recommended!

25/08/2026: A beautiful castle, but everything is better when it's explained by someone who clearly enjoys their work. The castle is incredible. The guide was exceptional. And, to top it all off, her fluency in Spanish was excellent, allowing you to fully appreciate everything there is to see in this magnificent castle.

25/08/2026: Superb private castle, still inhabited by his descendants, very well maintained, always being renovated respecting the craftsmanship of the period, all told by an extraordinary trainee guide, Theodore, who gave us a remarkable 2-hour tour ending with the small chapel.

10/04/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped for lunch as a family at this establishment. The welcome was excellent, and the all-you-can-eat buffet allowed everyone to eat their fill. The food was very good. In short, excellent value for money. We will definitely return.

19/07/2026: The three of us had a wonderful time Saturday evening at the grocery store. The €39 set menu is a real treat, from appetizer to dessert, with delicious dishes and delightful discoveries, all prepared with local and seasonal produce. The cuisine is sincere and refined. A big thank you to this passionate couple. The gentleman is in the kitchen, skillfully elevating the ingredients, while the lady provides attentive, warm, and friendly service. A lovely place where you feel right at home, and one I wholeheartedly recommend.

28/08/2026: Just had a nice drink, and the service and atmosphere were quite pleasant and good. It was nicely situated on the village square. So, it's a top spot for a drink!

28/08/2026: Located in the heart of Sancerre, this cafe offers plenty of outdoor seating in the square in front of the building, in addition to indoor seating. It's always bustling with customers. Although it's a cafe, they have a wide variety of ice cream, ice cream desserts, and shakes. They also serve alcohol and light meals at reasonable prices. The staff are all friendly and create a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

14/09/2026: No more flank steak or sirloin steak—avoid at all costs!!! The staff is incompetent, unresponsive, and unhelpful!!! We won't be going back!!!

05/09/2026: We loved everything about La Pleine Lune: dinner in the charming, tree-shaded patio, softly lit; the crayons and placemats for the children; and the generous and delicious dishes, all homemade (including the smoked salmon in the seafood salad). The menu descriptions on the chalkboard are simple, but the plates, served with care, hold delightful surprises.

04/09/2026: Another Michelin-starred restaurant that truly deserves its place in the red guide. Just 13 km from Bourges, nestled in the countryside in the village of Le Subdray, a peaceful setting awaits. The chef and his partner are delightful. Starter: Turnip carpaccio = exquisite! Main course: Pressed chicken with celery and yellow carrots: slow-cooked to ensure extraordinary tenderness and flavor. Dessert: Vineyard peach, caramelized arlette (a much improved palmier), and verbena bavarois – delicious! The service was very pleasant, professional, and efficient, with no downtime. €25 + drink and coffee = €33, excellent value for money. Charging station in the adjacent parking lot. PS: The original premises are undergoing renovations, but the kitchen and service continue in a temporary location just behind.

05/09/2026: Average crêperie, average-sized crêpes. Why do they reheat the food in the microwave, and especially in plastic containers (like Carty) which are unhealthy? Mediocre cider selection (no farm cider!). It's a shame they didn't take advantage of the nearby shops (butcher, cheese shop) instead of Metro. I don't recommend it.
