27/08/2024: Superb property, in which I was able to create the sound system for a wedding for the cocktail and the evening. The place is magnificent, with a view of a pond, from a courtyard framed by the 2 wings of the castle + the entrance porch. The reception room is a little narrow, and is therefore not the most practical, but it is something that can be accommodated without worry. The on-site manager is adorable and very accommodating.

Also the service and wine recommendations from our waiter were great. A highly memorable experience that should be repeated.

18/08/2024: Booked at ibis styles in Bourges. This restaurant is just next door. Interesting fact, you get a 10% discount when you show your B&B ibis room card. We were the first in the restaurant. Many others arrived immediately after us. After 20 minutes we were finally able to order. I can be brief about the food. This was decent. But they were constantly forgetting things, so if you were finally able to pass on something that they had forgotten, it took a long time before it was sorted out. The children had taken the kids menu and the ice cream they eventually received had almost completely melted because it took too long for them to bring it. I had to wait 30 minutes for my waffle and they still brought the wrong thing. I also had to take out dozens of bones from the kids' fish and chips. Dangerous!!! I had a view of a table that had to wait 40 minutes before they got something to drink. With our oysters there are normally two glasses of wine... we had to ask ourselves! Sorry, too few staff or too poorly organized... I would skip this place... total chaos!

08/09/2024: We really like this typical little restaurant. All 4 of us took the tasting menu and frankly it was very good. The portions are a little less generous than before but despite everything it remains very good value for money. The tablecloths were perfect. In terms of cleanliness, nothing to complain about even the toilets were clean. We will come back to this very nice little restaurant!

19/08/2024: Never disappointed in this restaurant. We love the tasting menu which offers a varied starter platter with naan, followed by a choice of mains and an a la carte dessert. We always find something to satisfy us and the portions are generous!

15/09/2024: The setting is superb, but the room is a little too noisy (it resonates). As a starter, a goat cheese and truffle blancmange: really tasteless. I felt like I was eating yogurt diluted with water. No taste of goat's milk. The plate is studded with slices of truffle, too many, I didn't understand the point of putting so many. And to top it off, we have to try to eat this almost liquid starter with a fork, since we are not given a spoon. The dish, a piece of beef with large fries in goose fat: we are told a flank steak, it is indeed a flank steak, but more probably flank steak than sirloin. Good meat, nothing more, and I have already had more tender meat. The large fries are neither seasoned nor crispy, and could have benefited from being seared more to at least have a golden crust. We are served red wine in the same glasses as the white wine previously drunk. It's borderline if the waitress checked that the glasses were empty. Before we have finished, a waitress reaches out to take the small cup of salt (fleur de sel would have been welcome), to bring it to another table. Yes yes, you read correctly: they don't have enough salt cups, you have to ration. Still on the theme of rationing: when we ask for bread, they bring us a basket with 4 pieces for our table of 5. Dessert: a mirliton with apples and fennel, decent but not unforgettable. When we approach the end of the meal, we are made clear that we must clear the table for the second service: the plates are taken away from us manu militari while we are still chewing the last mouthful, and the chef stands in plain sight, arms crossed, and scans the room. We weren't even offered coffee. In summary: barely adequate dishes, approximate and inelegant service. I'm not asking for formal service with bows, but a little good manners would be the minimum. The prices are affordable, and fortunately, given the level of service. I've been there several times over the past few years, but this time I think it's the last.
