The menu offers excellent value, with authentic, homemade, and truly delicious dishes. The portions are generous and leave you satisfied. We also really appreciated the service: the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. One detail that pleasantly surprised us? Despite being a simple restaurant, the table is set with cloth napkins, a small touch that makes a difference. The restrooms were also impeccably clean. Another plus is the ample parking, also suitable for campers. We'd happily recommend this place.

27/07/2026: We are regulars at this excellent restaurant. The food is good and plentiful, and the location is beautiful, nestled in the forest (with a lovely terrace for enjoying the warmer weather). Julien, the owner, is welcoming and clearly loves his work. As for the prices, they are reasonable. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

13/08/2026: A sweltering day, but we had a lovely meal on the terrace thanks to the parasols and the greenery. The Caraqui restaurant is right in the heart of the marshes. The dishes are simple but tasty, and nicely presented. There's a wide selection of ice cream and sundaes. The other desserts are a bit pricey for their creativity. But that's just my opinion, I admit 🤗

08/08/2026: It's been a Bourges institution for many years. First of all, the location. This restaurant, situated in the famous Bourges marshes, is very relaxing. You can also take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy a lovely stroll through the marshes before or after your meal; it's truly restful, peaceful, and refreshing. The welcome is warm and friendly, which is important... The service is very professional, friendly, and attentive. As for the food, the menu is extensive, and the dishes, well-prepared, are truly excellent. The prices are reasonable. A relaxing experience is guaranteed. Remember to book ahead, as the restaurant is often full.

19/08/2026: A delightful surprise! While cycling along the Allier River, we enjoyed an unexpected and delicious break. The setting was lovely, and the sweetbreads were generous. We left feeling incredibly energized...phew, the return trip by bike is going to be tough!

16/08/2026: Auberge du Pont du Canal, by definition a friendly and pleasant place where life is good? Hmm, the definition needs revising for this establishment. We wanted to have lunch one day, two adults and a 16-month-old baby. We asked if there was a table available. We could already tell that having a baby was a problem. They found us a table and, so as not to disturb the other customers too much, we asked for a quiet corner. They offered us a high chair, a nice touch! We placed our order; the waitress was very friendly. Our little one started to get a bit restless; she was hungry. The appetizers arrived, but they weren't what we had ordered. However, we didn't pay much attention to that, knowing there were variations between shrimp and prawns in the appetizers, as well as between foie gras and smoked duck breast. Anyway, we started eating and feeding our little one. The owner, who everything suggests is indeed the owner, stormed in, furious, and told us it wasn't our food we shouldn't have eaten. We apologized, explaining that we were more focused on our child, trying to keep his crying and whimpering quiet so as not to disturb the other guests. She stormed back to the kitchen, clearly unhappy, and a few moments later I followed her to apologize again. What a joy to be called an "idiot" in the kitchen! I immediately asked for the meal to be cut short, which is indeed against restaurant regulations. We took our food and decided to leave, feeling rather uneasy about the rest of our stay in the region. It's a shame that families aren't appreciated in an inn with an appealing menu but a less-than-welcoming welcome. I also want to point out, for your own improvement, that serving industrial hamburger buns for a €19 burger is a real eyesore. Thank you again for your hospitality; we will certainly recommend it to everyone we know. PS: Your waitress is pleasant and friendly; we hope she keeps it up!

12/08/2026: A place to remember. Set menu at €19.90 (starter + main course + dessert) and €17.90 (starter + main course or main course + dessert). We ate very well. We received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The atmosphere is inviting.

05/08/2026: Nice establishment... The service was quite good, although the waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed with fewer than twenty covers... Very disappointed with the bill. For two Cokes, a main course, and a two-course meal, we paid €41.60. That makes the Caesar salad €19, which I find outrageous for a salad that wasn't particularly substantial, more like a starter.

17/05/2026: Excellent welcome at the Hotel Restaurant La Mir! We stopped by while our car was charging and were greeted with incredible kindness. The receptionist was truly lovely, always smiling, attentive, and very professional. It's a pleasure to encounter such welcoming people. A wonderful experience, thank you again for your hospitality! We will gladly return.

10/04/2026: Ideally located less than a kilometer from a motorway exit but in a very quiet setting, La Mire is highly recommended. The service is very friendly (which is no surprise, as the people of Vierzon are known for their warmth), the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are reasonably priced. The only drawback is the single bedside table next to the double beds.

08/08/2026: Hello everyone, As a chef, I highly recommend you come and discover this establishment and try its delicious specialties. You absolutely must try the lahmacun, the Adana kebab, the chicken şiş, and their homemade döner. The meat is marinated by them and then left to rest for a day in its marinade before being carefully prepared. The result is truly excellent! And above all, don't leave without trying the Turkish tea, the homemade künefe, the rice pudding (sütlaç), and the tiramisu. 🍵🍮 As a culinary professional, I sincerely recommend this place.
