24/08/2026: We had a wonderful evening. The pizzas were generously topped and delicious. The value for money was excellent. The staff were professional and very friendly. This is a place worth discovering. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to the area ;-)

05/10/2026: A very good and pleasant restaurant in the heart of the Bourges marshes. Serving local Berry cuisine. Simple and unpretentious. A family atmosphere with a consistently warm welcome from the owner and staff: very professional and friendly. In summer, a verdant paradise; in winter, a cozy dining room. Always a delight. Highly recommended with its touch of nature!

13/10/2026: I arrived here by accident, but the service was really nice, the parking lot was huge, but there were a lot of potholes, it's great because the bathroom is free, the shower is not a big fee, it's nice and atmospheric, not expensive, and you can eat well ❤️

03/10/2026: We had tried this restaurant several times under the previous owner. Always poorly received in a rather dirty establishment, we stopped going. Tonight we decided to meet the new owner. The welcome was very friendly. The seafood risotto was absolutely excellent, high-quality cuisine. The waitress was very smiley and pleasant, and the service was quick. I recommend this friendly place. We will gladly return to discover other flavors.

08/10/2026: We are regular customers of Patàpain, and it's one of my son's favorite cafes. Since he practices judo and swimming nearby, we come very often, almost every Saturday. We really enjoy Patàpain, especially the one on Rue Moyenne, where we always receive a very warm welcome and excellent service. Unfortunately, at the location near the Nautical Center, we regularly have difficulties with a young employee, particularly on October 3rd. While I very often order a children's menu for my son, this employee regularly gives us different information about it: sometimes she tells us that my son isn't allowed certain items on the menu, sometimes that certain products aren't included, as if she were applying her own rules. When I asked her where these rules were stated, she simply replied that they were on the website. After checking, I couldn't find this information. I would therefore like to bring this situation to the attention of management and ask them to verify the information provided to customers and to remind this employee of the importance of a courteous and professional welcome. We love Patàpain and simply wish to continue to enjoy our services. Thank you for your understanding.

09/08/2026: The meal offers exceptional value for money. The chef clearly loves his work. Everything is homemade, and the tastes and flavors are evident throughout, right down to the croutons on the gazpacho.

14/07/2026: A lovely time spent with friends at the restaurant's terrace, in a peaceful setting shaded by trees. Excellent home-style cooking, exceptionally attentive service, and very good value for money. The restaurant is very well-run. We'll definitely be back! No opinion on the rooms, as we only had lunch there.

20/10/2026: The meat is supposed to be tender… The butcher's mixed steak is definitely not the advertised 240g, the rump steak is tough. The spider steak is minimal. Very disappointed. But I did enjoy the tiramisu. Value for money: no stars. I'll choose a different stop next time.

19/08/2026: A delightful surprise! While cycling along the Allier River, we enjoyed an unexpected and delicious break. The setting was lovely, and the sweetbreads were generous. We left feeling incredibly energized...phew, the return trip by bike is going to be tough!

16/08/2026: Auberge du Pont du Canal, by definition a friendly and pleasant place where life is good? Hmm, the definition needs revising for this establishment. We wanted to have lunch one day, two adults and a 16-month-old baby. We asked if there was a table available. We could already tell that having a baby was a problem. They found us a table and, so as not to disturb the other customers too much, we asked for a quiet corner. They offered us a high chair, a nice touch! We placed our order; the waitress was very friendly. Our little one started to get a bit restless; she was hungry. The appetizers arrived, but they weren't what we had ordered. However, we didn't pay much attention to that, knowing there were variations between shrimp and prawns in the appetizers, as well as between foie gras and smoked duck breast. Anyway, we started eating and feeding our little one. The owner, who everything suggests is indeed the owner, stormed in, furious, and told us it wasn't our food we shouldn't have eaten. We apologized, explaining that we were more focused on our child, trying to keep his crying and whimpering quiet so as not to disturb the other guests. She stormed back to the kitchen, clearly unhappy, and a few moments later I followed her to apologize again. What a joy to be called an "idiot" in the kitchen! I immediately asked for the meal to be cut short, which is indeed against restaurant regulations. We took our food and decided to leave, feeling rather uneasy about the rest of our stay in the region. It's a shame that families aren't appreciated in an inn with an appealing menu but a less-than-welcoming welcome. I also want to point out, for your own improvement, that serving industrial hamburger buns for a €19 burger is a real eyesore. Thank you again for your hospitality; we will certainly recommend it to everyone we know. PS: Your waitress is pleasant and friendly; we hope she keeps it up!
