05/01/2026: We went there for New Year's Day. The meal was too expensive for what was offered, and we were also extremely cold. The food wasn't anything special, apart from the foie gras. On the plus side, the waitress was friendly.

14/03/2026: Appalling welcome, we felt like we were bothering them. Vacuum-packed deli meats, poor quality potatoes. For dessert, we were told the chef only makes it every other day 😱 Doubts about the freshness and cleanliness during dinner, and to top it all off, I was sick all night. Instead of cleaning, the staff were smoking, filling the restaurant with cigarette smoke. It speaks volumes about their professionalism. Change careers; you can't just become a restaurateur overnight, it's a real profession. RUN AWAY!!!!!

21/02/2026: I'm giving it one star because zero isn't an option. Frankly, I'm disappointed; for 15 euros, it was a dry Regina with only the taste of grated cheese! I was only passing through, so I wouldn't recommend it.

21/02/2026: For €15 for a Regina pizza, we expected more than just one slice of ham divided into 17 tiny squares as thin as an A4 sheet of paper and one button mushroom scattered on top. The tomato sauce is tasteless; you'd think it was nonexistent, with the Emmental cheese completely overpowering all the other flavors. The pizza as a whole is very dry, and as mentioned, you can't distinguish any of the other ingredients except the Emmental. However, the welcome and service were impeccable. It's a shame; we were just passing through and expected much better from "The Best Pizza in St. Amand."

25/02/2026: We always enjoy returning to Shanghai Wok. I often order the vegetable wok with a grilled item. My eldest daughter loves the sushi, and my youngest enjoys the fries and nuggets. The desserts are varied, and the all-inclusive drinks offer a great deal without any unpleasant surprises.

25/02/2026: Still a loyal customer despite all the other restaurants of this type opening up. Excellent value for money, the owner is attentive and very kind. We are vegan and we find what we're looking for here and enjoy a delicious meal every time. Suitable for everyone. Well done to the whole team.

02/11/2025: Too bad, we went back on 2/11 at 12:30 and the door was closed without warning. Initial review: We regularly stop at this establishment when passing through Vierzon, but on our last visit we received a poor experience: - cold main course - cold side dish - bad burger served - required phone number when paying - wet toilets In a setting typical of an American diner, you'll find a full menu of US specialties: burgers, hot dogs, wings, and the traditional Mac & Cheese.

02/04/2025: This very well placed establishment is, in my opinion, largely overvalued. In a western theme, an entrance buffet presents nothing original or regional. Why offer eggs and mayonnaise, then egg salad with mayonnaise? (For example) Dish of the day, with overcooked rice, accompanied by 2 small lightly stuffed tomatoes. The homemade fries are perfect and crispy covering a very fine fish fillet. Only the crème brûlées pleased us. I finished with an espresso which was not an espresso 😬. Original, Tahiti beer, while an excellent brewery is less than 10 km away.

19/12/2025: Now I remembered that I, Sir Ludovic de Téléton, had come to Lignières and stopped at a place called the Auberge du Chasteau. At this name, I raised an eyebrow, for I saw there neither crenellated towers, nor drawbridge, nor machicolations from which to hurl burning pitch upon the enemy. No keep, no portcullis: great was my astonishment. However, many a castle is not made of stone alone, but can be a castle of flavors and good governance. And it is there that this place redeems itself with honor. I was served poultry prepared with curry and ginger, a dish of unusual origin but of very subtle artistry. The flesh was tender, the spices well-balanced, not harsh, but knowing how to speak to the palate like a minstrel at court. Admittedly, I must say without mincing words that the portion seemed rather small… but not through any stinginess on the part of the host: it's because I have a hearty appetite, and this dish, so delectable, opened my stomach more than it satisfied it. A minor fault, born not of poverty, but of excellence. Thus I left, not angry, but eager to return, which is the greatest homage a lord can pay. Better still: I am going to tell my king about it at once, so that, if he pleases, he may deign to visit this place which, without walls, knows how to hold court like a high fortress. A gentleman's word: this castle is on the plate.

21/04/2026: I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The welcome was warm, the service attentive without being intrusive, and the food was simply delicious. I highly recommend this establishment!

19/03/2026: The location is fantastic, just 5 minutes from the train station. The room was very reasonably priced; it was slightly chilly, but a good sweater was fine. As for the staff, I didn't see anyone when I arrived or when I left, which I found a bit disappointing. Another minor drawback is that whenever someone walks by in the hallway, that's all you can hear.

15/03/2026: St. Patrick's Day dinner, how to put it: the starter was terrible (a sort of pastry), dry, no dressing with the salad, burnt fries, and the fish wasn't great—in my opinion, it wasn't fish and chips worthy of the name! And the chocolate cake for dessert was very dry. It wasn't worth €40. Luckily, the nightclub atmosphere saved the day from the disappointing meal.
