26/08/2026: I recently came to Patapain for a break that should have moved me in a different way, but I learned that in the standard farms where you buy your meat, piglets have their tails docked and their teeth ground down, and that sows spend half their lives in cages. Intelligent and sensitive animals suffer cruelly, and it completely ruined my customer experience.

23/08/2026: A very bad experience at this restaurant in Vierzon. I was stuck in the entrance for ages, without being helped or given any real explanation. We were finally told there was a so-called "problem in the kitchen," but the manager was completely absent and took no responsibility for the situation or for communicating with the customers. The most annoying thing? Just as I was leaving, a customer was coming out with their takeout order. The kitchen seemed to be working well enough to serve some orders, while the customers who were still there waited unnecessarily, without any information or solutions offered. And frankly, I left feeling like I'd been a nuisance. I left without having eaten, feeling completely ignored. A minimum of hospitality, transparency, and consideration would have been enough.

22/08/2026: We arrived at the parking lot at 1 p.m., which was far from full... despite this, we were refused entry with the reason "you didn't make a reservation, we're full," even though half the restaurant was open and empty. Everyone can draw their own conclusions.

10/09/2026: The dish was a bit too salty for my taste and lacked spice. However, a special mention goes to the sweet potato cake, which was delicious. The dining room was a little impersonal and got quite hot when it's warm outside.

25/04/2026: Our meal was interrupted. A waitress sat at our table to ask us to leave a Google review and wouldn't leave until we scanned the QR code. Hopefully, this won't become a habit for this establishment.

05/08/2026: A large open-air terrace in the heart of the countryside in summer—the perfect setting for lunch with your dog. Except here, they refuse entry even to a dachshund, a tiny dog ​​that fits under a chair. No health and safety logic applies to an outdoor terrace: it's simply a complete lack of common sense and hospitality. If the "fresh air" concept stops at the door for our canine companions, they should just say so before making the trip. Frankly disappointing for an establishment that boasts a rural setting.

16/07/2026: A nice place. The food is good and plentiful. The entertainment and concerts are enjoyable. I recommend it.

11/08/2026: Beautiful terrace, the salad was very generous, as was the steak tartare. Thank you to the waitress who provided excellent service.

09/08/2026: We were a family of five, including a 14-year-old. Three of us ordered the steak tartare. We were disappointed when our plates arrived: the fries weren't homemade, there was a little salad, and it looked like cat food! It was pureed, with no visible ingredients like egg, onions, or capers! We were very disappointed. In short, it needs improvement because the presentation was not great, even disappointing. Furthermore, the menu isn't at all geared towards teenagers, for example, the burgers.

We had a meal for a group; the starter was very generous, the quenelle dish was a bit of a mixed bag, but the sauce was good, and the dessert was very good. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff were very friendly.

31/07/2026: Arriving before noon, I was served a kebab with reheated, cooked meat from the previous day. The meat was dry and very tough; I emptied the entire naan before eating it. When I saw the kebab served to another customer around 12:40, it looked completely different because it was fresh meat. It's a shame; I'd never experienced this before at this location. I won't risk eating there again. We ordered two set menus, which ended up in the bin. We were very disappointed.

We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. 😋 The ribeye steak was excellent, as was the pig's trotter: a real treat! 🤩 The dishes and desserts are homemade, using good local products, all at very reasonable prices. 09/08/2026: Unfortunately, it is nowhere to be found online when they are open. I stood in front of the door twice while they were there.

20/05/2026: Delightful 50s-60s style dinner. The staff's attitude leaves much to be desired. In a 50s diner, you expect a broad smile and outspoken helpfulness! The food could be better too. The haricot verm were tough and dried out. The fries were soggy and too greasy. The meat was good.

17/05/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We had a voucher for a set menu, and no expiry date was indicated on it. However, it was refused, with the pretext that they no longer accept them after 2026. If conditions apply or if the offer is no longer valid, this should be clearly stated instead of only being discovered at the point of payment. Beyond that, the service was completely inadequate. The staff were often on their phones, inattentive to customers, and we encountered neither a smile nor genuine friendliness during our visit. We mostly felt like we were bothering them. It's a shame, because respecting the offers and providing a minimum level of service are fundamental in the restaurant industry. Better communication and a warmer welcome would likely have changed our opinion.

16/08/2026: It's 5 PM, and there's no one in the restaurant. The employees are chatting amongst themselves… The restaurant is disgusting (dirty tables, crushed ice on the floor, and the toilets are even worse…) Unacceptable

29/08/2026: The manager was unfriendly (to say the least). The atmosphere was noisy and unwelcoming. Unpleasant remarks were made about the customers.

22/08/2026: The welcome wasn't very pleasant. We were surprised by the price of the Americano compared to the espresso: €2 instead of €1.40. Water must be extremely expensive in Vierzon. Nice sunny terrace.

It's worth noting that the restaurant is quite large, so we weren't crammed in with other diners! The food was good and inexpensive! There was a wide selection of side dishes! I'm delighted I ate here!
