19/09/2026: The drink was decent (thankfully). The staff seemed out of it. We ordered oysters, and only after we'd eaten them were we asked if there would be a second course. We ordered a ribeye steak and a steak tartare: The ribeye, ordered rare, arrived blue and cold. We sent it back to the kitchen. It was cooked properly but was very tough. When the waiter asked if it was good, we replied that it was, but tough, and he left, muttering "oula." The steak tartare was served with far too much salad swimming in a bad, industrial dressing. It was very coarsely chopped (even though it was chopped with a knife, it was still not good). It was far from tender. Luckily, the tartare was prepared because the meat had little flavor (it was practically soulless, poor thing). The fries were decent (hallelujah). We didn't have dessert. (No kidding!) The atmosphere was noisy and the staff rather absent and ultimately indifferent to the criticism (not surprising, you might say). Especially when it was pointed out that the only good thing about the meal was the oysters, the waiter simply said, "Okay." (Another one who wants to improve!) Another restaurant that might be trying to go under. (Quite a funny pun, since it's a trawler.) Although, judging by the prices, it must do well in the summer. We won't be going back. (We had already left the port.) Good point: fast service (I could have saved time by swimming).

26/08/2026: Frozen fries. My husband's mussels marinière were good, with dried parsley. My hamburger, ordered rare, was served well-done. The frozen ground beef was of mediocre quality. I was really disappointed. As for the glass of water I ordered with my coffee, since there was no carafe on the table, I'm still waiting for it.

05/06/2026: Don't buy a bottle of Coke, it's more expensive than in a grocery store at the Eiffel Tower!!! €4.70 for a 1.25L bottle, that's luxury Coke!! And the kebab doesn't have enough meat, there are more raw vegetables!! Hygiene and food safety are nonexistent!! It deserves zero stars!!

03/06/2026: Too expensive for the price. I bought a two-meat taco for €15 and got a completely flat taco with 100g of meat and no cheese sauce. For that price, even McDonald's is better. I strongly advise against it.

02/10/2026: Friendly and efficient service. Good value for money. The dining room is quite large and crowded, so it's understandably rather noisy. Aside from the fact that the calf's head seemed more like tongue—though it was good and plentiful—the restaurant is recommended.

27/09/2026: We love Maison Georges Larnicol and always look for one of their branches whenever we're in France. Unfortunately, we've arrived at this particular branch twice only to find it closed. The first time, the opening time was listed as 11:00 AM, but even at 11:15 AM, there was no one there, and we had even waited in town because we'd finished our grocery shopping at the market by 10:30 AM. Three days later, the opening time on Google Maps had suddenly changed to 11:15 AM. At 11:15 AM and again at 11:30 AM, we found ourselves standing in front of a locked door once more. My tip if you're vacationing in the Saint-Brieuc area: Go to Pléneuf-Val-André. Maison Georges Larnicol there opens at 9:30 AM, the beach is just a 3-minute walk away, and you can easily combine it with a trip to Cap Fréhel.

30/07/2026: The kouign amann is very good, even the almond and pistachio kouignettes. The raspberry one is also very good.

07/10/2026: We spent two weeks on holiday in Landrellec and ate at Le Macareux twice. The first time was on my birthday. It was outstanding. From the appetizer to the dessert, simply delicious. The little amuse-bouche was a delight. The service was exceptional, incredibly friendly, and patient with my limited French (I haven't spoken it in 40 years), but everything worked out perfectly. On the last day of our holiday, we simply had to eat there again! 😉 It was excellent once more. The restroom was clean. Opposite the bar, there seems to be a regulars' table; we felt completely at ease. It was lovely to see young and old sitting together, enjoying a drink and lively conversation. We are so glad we found this wonderful restaurant. Many thanks! 😊

21/09/2026: Run away! We first ordered a strawberry Italian ice cream for our 4-year-old, which cost €4. Unfortunately, the ice cream was crystallized, with a very strong watery taste and was really unpleasant. Our daughter didn't like it at all. We then ordered another ice cream for her, this time with whipped cream, for a total of €6. But the most unpleasant thing wasn't just the price: it was the owner's attitude. Our 4-year-old had just woken up from her nap and didn't say "please" when asking for her ice cream. I obviously said it for her, being as polite as possible. Despite this, the owner felt entitled to correct her in front of the other customers and insist that she say "please" herself. It's perfectly possible to teach a child manners without flaunting them or making them uncomfortable in front of everyone, especially at 4 years old and right after a nap. Not to mention the bar, which is particularly outdated and reeks of mustiness, unfortunately not making the experience any more pleasant. €10 for two ice creams, one of which our daughter didn't even like, a run-down establishment, an unpleasant smell, and, to top it all off, a public remark to a 4-year-old: frankly, avoid this place. Especially since in much more modern and chic establishments in Perros-Guirec or Trébeurden, ice creams are around €3.50, with extras that barely cost the price of the ice cream itself. A very bad experience, both in terms of the quality of the products and the service and the atmosphere. We won't be going back.

29/05/2026: The rooms are adequate. This hotel is only suitable for a few nights. A longer stay would be uncomfortable; the beds need to be more comfortable.

16/09/2026: Found this place by chance. A set menu to choose from: a starter of various sausages plus celery salad; the main course of pork tenderloin with potatoes and a delicate sauce; and a wide selection of desserts. Overall, very tasty. Even though it was a family celebration for 20 people, we were served very quickly and courteously.

08/08/2026: The owner was extremely unpleasant! We had booked for a birthday celebration and were denied all activities, even though they were planned and we had previously asked for her permission, which she had agreed to! The owner spoke to us very rudely in front of the other guests, which is unacceptable!! I am furious. Our meals were rushed so we would leave quickly! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!

24/07/2026: We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. We received a very poor welcome and felt attacked by the staff's attitude. Their tone and the way we were treated made us very uncomfortable. We came hoping to have a good time, but the reception completely ruined the experience. We hope that management will take these comments into account to improve the quality of service.
