13/06/2026: A very good experience, the staff were very polite and friendly, and the pool was quite pleasant with plenty of space and a lawn.

25/06/2026: The service was excellent, the young waiter superb, the drink quality was terrible. They'd be better off investing in good beer than this swill, and the wrap was hairless—I've never seen anything like it. Honestly, you can taste the Boursin cheese more than the chicken, and a quarter of a lettuce leaf leaves you starving. I don't recommend it.

08/04/2026: I just had a Serrano ham, goat cheese, pesto, and sundried tomato sandwich. Excellent! It's €5.90, but the bread is fresh and delicious, and the filling is too, so I prefer to pay a little more than at a bakery where the sandwiches are practically empty, just bread. I recommend this place if you want quality food quickly and to feel satisfied.

29/07/2026: My experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. * Customer service: terrible, especially if you're a tourist. * Value for money: very poor. The food doesn't justify the price. * Cleanliness: very poor. During our visit, we saw cockroaches, which we found unacceptable. * Space: the place is very small. When there's a queue, it takes up practically the entire establishment, making it very difficult to move around. * Price information: unclear and confusing. My recommendation is that if you want to try the food, order takeout. The ordering process was also quite chaotic. First, they prepare the food, and then they make you repeat the entire list of what you ordered. If you're a tourist, remembering and pronouncing unfamiliar names can be difficult, especially when you place a large order for several people. It seems like the staff gets stressed in these situations. Communication with foreign customers was very poor, and the service was also quite slow. Finally, the drinks were mostly warm and the glasses were very dirty. In short, a very negative experience that I wouldn't repeat.

23/02/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant. The food and dishes are fresh and delicious. While there's less choice than at other Chinese buffets, there's consequently less waste, and the food is almost exclusively Asian. There's enough variety to satisfy everyone and leave feeling full. The service is also very pleasant.

22/07/2026: A fairly large selection, but we found it expensive for a kind of standing-room-only/self-service area with three hot drinks: €38.70. The outdoor seating under large trees is quite pleasant, like a beer garden. Only the wasps were very annoying.

17/07/2026: I received a very poor welcome from the female staff on July 17, 2026. I asked what cold sandwiches were available, and a charming woman replied, "Everything is here, just look." This was a very brief and icy response. I will never set foot in this place again. Furthermore, the salads are very expensive for the mediocre quality.

21/07/2026: I've been to this establishment several times. I've always had a good meal there. Today, July 21, 2026, I was very disappointed. The bread was very, too, dry. I had a hamburger with a tiny side salad. The hamburger bun wasn't great. The sauce was rather bland and lacked any real flavor. Finally, the fries were dry and sometimes burnt. I didn't dare order dessert for fear of being disappointed, even though they used to be so good (for example, in the fall of 2024, a delicious chestnut cream dessert). What's going on now? I don't know. I hope and wish that the food at this establishment will regain its former glory. It's up to them to rise to the challenge.

06/07/2026: Expensive for the quality of the food served. The dessert of the day, a Liège waffle, was hard and dry... the glass of red wine was practically corked.

10/07/2026: July 10, 10:49 AM. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I just wanted to ask the waitress if ice cream was available. I didn't even get a chance to say anything before she brushed me off like a dog. "We're not open yet, madam," she said in a very unpleasant manner. I regret not putting her in her place. First and last time I'll ever set foot in that place.

26/06/2026: Avoid at all costs 😱 We arrived as a group of five for drinks on the terrace, asked for an extra glass of water, and were told, "We don't have that" 😲! Uh… okay! As we were leaving, the table next to us had clearly received their glass of water; it must be a matter of personal preference!! And for the price… I don't understand… especially given the heat we're experiencing right now. I can see why there are bad reviews! We won't be going back, that's for sure!!

20/06/2026: There were three of us and we ordered shrimp, spaghetti bolognese, and Caesar salad. The Caesar salad wasn't very meaty, but it was good. The rest of the portions were generous, and the value was good. I highly recommend a visit.

19/05/2026: December 2024 I still think about my experiences at this restaurant to this day, which is why I feel moved to write this review. During my very first visit to France, I had the pleasure of dining at Le Bersot de l’Orient. I was staying nearby, and it became my go-to place throughout my two-week stay. I visited frequently; for brunch, lunch, dinner, and even supper. I also dined both alone and with friends, and each visit was memorable. Across every visit, the food was consistently delicious and deeply satisfying. Hailing from Singapore, a tropical island where I am more familiar with Southeast Asian cuisine, dining de l’Orient was new and exciting. At the same time, the flavours were unexpectedly nostalgic. During the winter months, the meals felt especially warm and hearty. I looked forward to the food to restore me after a long day of walking through the city. It is simple in the best way: honest, filling, and full of comfort, making it an excellent option for both lunch and late dinner. On one occasion, I brought a group of around twelve people, and we shared platters together. The atmosphere was lively yet easygoing, and it became a natural gathering point before continuing our evening plans. Dining here worked just as well for quiet meals as it did for group outings. I also appreciated that the food served is halal, and that the establishment is Muslim-owned, which gave me comfort as a Muslim diner. The washroom is clean and spacious. There is a bar area separate from the kitchen, and while alcoholic beverages are served, it is clearly distinct from the dining space -- something I note for Muslim patrons who may prefer to know. The restaurant itself is not extravagant, but it is warm, cosy, and memorable. It is located in a very walkable and convenient area, making it easy to return to throughout a stay in the city. The surrounding streets add to the atmosphere, especially in the evening when everything feels softly alive. I am deeply thankful to the Le Bersot de l’Orient team for taking such good care of me and for feeding us so well during my stay. These meals brought both comfort and joy during my time in France. More than just food, they were quiet moments of grounding in a foreign place, and they remain with me still. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. I wish them continued success, and many more years of serving food that brings people the same quiet comfort it brought me. Merci beaucoup.

17/06/2026: My boyfriend and I went for a drink at La Fontaine on Saturday, June 13, 2026, around 8:00 PM (we were seated at an outside table against the bar's facade, to the left of the entrance). We consumed very little, and despite this, we don't remember what time we got home or which areas we passed through. These memory lapses are in no way consistent with being drunk. We experienced frequent vomiting during the night, dizziness, episodes of tachycardia, and significant anxiety. We believe we were unknowingly drugged with GHB, and some of the effects persist for several days afterward. This message is being written as a precaution to inform management that some individuals with malicious intent might frequent the establishment. We simply wanted to bring this situation to your attention so that you can remain vigilant.

08/06/2026: Only conditionally recommended for transit. Breakfast was okay, but the hotel is dated and doesn't look the cleanest. There don't seem to be many motorcyclists in the area; strangely, there were two flat tires (holes) on two different bikes.

06/06/2026: The staff were very attentive to the customer, the breakfast was very good, and the zen corner was super nice.

12/07/2026: I sat down in the back room with my friends, and the brunette waitress rudely ushered us out to block off the back area. Then she accused me of leaving the Kraft terrace without paying for three pints (even though I don't drink alcohol and had just arrived)... I explained that she was mistaking me for someone else, but she didn't believe me and then verbally attacked me?! A complete lunatic who confuses her customers and pressures my friends to order? A disgrace! Not even an apology... if you want a terrible time, I highly recommend it!

08/07/2026: On the shaded terrace, quality beer, but the meal was so-so... I ordered a steak tartare that was supposed to be prepared with a knife, but it was incredibly bland and, in my opinion, had been prepared in a meat grinder or food processor. It came with very greasy fries, but the salad served with it was well-seasoned.
