22/02/2026: I stayed in this hotel on the Camino de Santiago, the room was perfect and the homemade couscous, which was very comforting after a day of walking, is worth the trip.

23/02/2026: It's a shame zero stars isn't possible because it was truly the worst experience of my life. One word: run away! I absolutely do not recommend this establishment, which is filthy and staffed with dishonest people. We booked for two nights. To begin with, the key wasn't in the locker when we arrived. We had to find our own way to the room, which was already open, with the key inside. The first night, my 18-month-old daughter became seriously ill because the heating only warmed about 2 cm of the room. The bed was freezing, and using sheets as a duvet in February was appalling. Furthermore, the hotel has never been cleaned since it opened; we found dust and hair everywhere. The room was so cold we fell asleep with our coats on. It was impossible for us to stay another night, so we requested a refund. The receptionist asked for our bank details (RIB) because even she, upon entering the room, remarked, "Oh yes, indeed, it's a penguin room..." We sent the bank details, and to this day, nothing. Today we contacted the establishment, and the woman told us there would be no refund since we didn't stay the night. Before leaving, she assured us she would take care of it. Truly the worst experience ever!!!

18/02/2026: The room was very rustic with only the bare essentials. The soundproofing needs improvement (I didn't sleep a wink all night due to footsteps, furniture being moved at 3 a.m., and constant coming and going on the very noisy stairs). Remember to bring your own shower gel; it's not provided in this Airbnb. The only redeeming feature was the pleasant common areas, but the pool room was too small to play properly (I had to cut the cue in half in three-quarters of the places to be able to play). This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

01/03/2026: The food has become bland. Even simple stir-fried noodles are a disaster, and worse, the spring rolls aren't good either. I'm disappointed because the food used to be high quality and, above all, had real flavor. Now ☹️ ☹️☹️ The buffet presentation and decor were much nicer before.

14/02/2026: A breathtaking seafood buffet: half a lobster, oysters, whelks, prawns, and other shellfish. A fantastic seafood meal for Valentine's Day! The service was excellent, with plates cleared as soon as everyone finished their meal. I'm so glad I discovered this Asian restaurant. It will definitely be my go-to spot when I'm in the area.

25/01/2026: A very disappointing experience, absolutely avoid it. Arrived at noon, left at 3:30 pm… for a simple lunch! 45 minutes to take our order, another 45 minutes to be served, then half an hour to have our plates cleared. Endless, slow, and completely disorganized service. What's most appalling is that, looking at the reviews, comments dating back more than six years already mention extremely slow service. Clearly, the establishment takes absolutely no account of its customers' feedback. Nothing has changed in all these years. Coke Zero was served without a visible bottle or can: probably from a large bottle, unfortunately completely flat. Savings made at the customer's expense. The side dishes are fixed, with no choice or variety: for all the meat dishes, it's always the same thing: gratin, green beans, and an endive. For years they've been serving the same cafeteria-style sides, without ever questioning their approach. If you were hoping to accompany your grilled meat or stew with some good homemade fries, forget it: "We don't make fries." No children's options on the menu. The menu is unclear and poorly explained: sides aren't listed, desserts are vague ("fruit tart"... but which ones?). You have to ask for everything. The cheese is served hastily and frankly stingily. The atmosphere and food are like something out of a retirement home: slow, sluggish, and lacking any energy. Several times, I felt like they were about to get out the Scrabble game. We even had a fit of laughter, appalled by the atmosphere and the slow service. Lots of unnecessary frills: bread served sparingly, a tiny piece per person with tongs, and on top of that, frozen bread! All this for an overpriced menu, completely unjustified given the quality, portion sizes, and service offered. Also of note, in early December 2025: Mr. Hervé Jonathan, Prefect of Eure-et-Loir, ordered the administrative closure of the establishment “Le Relais des Remparts” in Nogent-le-Roi for breaches of hygiene and maintenance regulations. If I had known all this beforehand, I would never have come! A lot of pretension, no progress despite the years, and a completely neglected customer experience. Zero stars.

31/01/2026: The welcome is warm, the service attentive, and the dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care taken with the presentation. The atmosphere is pleasant, ideal for having a good time. I highly recommend it and will gladly return.

18/01/2025: Disappointed. I tried to call this restaurant to reserve a table for my family, but no one answered my call, and they never bothered to call me back. Upon arriving there, what a surprise to discover that the restaurant was closed at 8:30 p.m., despite several announcements on their social networks stating that it would be open! A blatant lack of communication.

25/12/2025: One star because zero is out of the question... Even making a reservation is a bad start: the website has no menu and the contact form is useless since there's no response. After a few days, I finally call to make a reservation, and the owner confirms that the website messages aren't checked. Upon arrival, the welcome is lukewarm, and the back room feels like a toilet, separated only by a sliding door... but not by smells! The tap water is ice-cold, and getting room-temperature water, the only thing I can digest, seems incredibly difficult... I order a buckwheat crepe by default because they all have far too many ingredients that don't go together (I do ask them to remove the chorizo, though, because rouille sauce + cheese + scallops, which are actually small, defrosted clams + bacon + spinach + salmon is already too much). The galette was overcooked, not Breton at all, swimming in melted butter (and yet I love butter when it enhances the ingredients), and very spicy with garlic without any warning. My husband ordered a "salad" consisting of large leaves simply placed on the plate with only balsamic vinegar—too bad if we don't like it! Underneath the salad (!) was cheap smoked salmon, tiny, overcooked, and therefore dry shrimp despite being thawed, and a few unpeeled tomato slices—what else! We forced ourselves to eat because we had a reservation afterward and couldn't go hungry, but when I told the owner-waitress that we hadn't liked it, particularly because of the spices, she seemed very surprised and replied in a very businesslike tone, "Oh yes, here it's all about the spices, we work with spices!" End of story. If you're not happy, stay home... That's what we'll do next time because we know how to cook and we love our delicious dishes made with love and fresh, local produce! To top it all off, it smelled burnt when we left because the owner-chef doesn't bother to clean his stovetop. It's all well and good to serve in 5 minutes, but hygiene is important too. In short, we've never been so disappointed by a restaurant in our entire life (and it's been a long one) and we strongly advise against this establishment, which is a disgrace to Brittany, a region we adore.

26/10/2025: We came with 6 people for my uncle's birthday this Sunday, October 26th. We ate very well from the beginning to the end of the meal. Everything was very good, the service was fast and the staff very pleasant. In addition, a waitress was kind enough to take a photo of all 6 of us. I recommend this restaurant and we will come back.

20/02/2026: An excellent restaurant where everything is fresh, and the home cooking is delicious. The calf's head from the beginning of the month and the tripe are generously served. The owner is very friendly and always happy to chat. The place is full of charm in the heart of the village; it's a highly recommended spot!

18/11/2025: If you're looking for a restaurant with fresh ingredients, you've come to the wrong place. The chicken sticks to your teeth, and everyone gets the same piece. The vegetables are defrosted. In short, it's impossible to avoid going to the bathroom two or three hours later.
