The cuisine is sophisticated, refined, and showcases legumes with great creativity, while remaining delicious. A delightful culinary experience well worth the trip. Expect to pay around €45 per person. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who appreciate refined and original cuisine.

24/07/2026: Excellent, warm, and friendly welcome! I arrived around midnight and, despite the late hour, I was served with great kindness. The Caesar salad was very generous and delicious, as was the gourmet coffee—a real treat. All at a very reasonable price. An excellent place that I highly recommend. Thank you to the whole team!

The atmosphere is friendly, perfect for spending quality time with friends or family. You can tell there's real expertise in the kitchen and a dedicated team.

28/07/2026: New layout at Bagel Corner in La Valentine, very trendy! Ordering at the kiosk is now available, there's a counter for donuts, muffins, and drinks, and a yellow cube serving as the kitchen. Too bad! You can no longer see the bagels being made. The wait to be served was long even though it wasn't very busy… it's reopening time! Major drawback: the area isn't non-smoking because the employees smoke in front of the open door, and the smoke fills the restaurant. 🤢

31/07/2026: I stopped in Martigne and decided to eat here for the second time this year, while traveling between Italy and Spain. It's a restaurant in a unique location overlooking the canal, with a view of the sunset. It has outdoor seating, and it's very pleasant to eat there, and the food is excellent. The service is excellent, too. The husband and wife team—she takes care of the service and he takes care of the kitchen—really enjoyed it. I've been back, and I wasn't wrong.

04/07/2026: The worst tarte flambée of my life… you really need to know how to use salt. My dining companions felt the same way. The salads were ridiculous… a 1 hour and 5 minute wait before being served… they forgot our drinks despite several reminders. Desserts were displayed in the dining room in over 35-degree heat… it didn't make you want to touch them… and to top it all off, they complained because we asked to split the bill… Avoid this place; Alsace deserves a much better reputation.

27/06/2026: Some of the best food I have ever had. Very limited menu, but absolutely phenomenal. Waiter spoke some English, which was helpful, but not necessary, as everything was perfect as it was. I had the Gnocchi and it was perfection

23/07/2026: We had a nasty surprise during our romantic meal, waiting over an hour for our order to be taken. People who arrived after us were served instead—apparently acquaintances. We mentioned this to the waitresses. Furthermore, there was no light above our table, so we couldn't see our plates. We were very disappointed with this restaurant, where it seems that profit is more important than customer service.

27/02/2026: We had heard great things about this restaurant for a long time, and what a disappointment! The service was appalling; they forgot our aperitif, our bottle of wine, and our coffee. They spilled sauce on the table when they placed a dish down, and shrimp jus was spilled on me and my neighbor. We're only human, but all of that in one meal is just too much! As for the food itself, it was incredibly basic for the price. You can find much better, more sophisticated restaurants with impeccable service for the same price. Extremely disappointed.

17/02/2026: I used to go there regularly, and I was quite disappointed this time… I understand that prices are rising everywhere, but that's no reason to lower the quality. As for the duck breast, I practically had to search for the sauce and morels on the plate. Before, they would have a small bowl of cream and morel sauce on the plate, but it was generous and delicious. Now, both the portion size and the quality seem to have declined. The cured ham and the mixed appetizers were of lower quality than anything I've had before, and the price reflected that.

17/06/2026: This hotel far surpassed my hopes and expectations. Websites can oversell a place with camera angles and photo edits and I was prepared to be slightly underwhelmed by L'Arlatan. Instead, I found that the hotel, restaurant, bar, and grounds were so phenomenal that the website actually undersold the space. It’s even more incredible in person. Everything was perfect - the comfort, coolness, and beauty of the rooms, the kindness of the staff, the stunning gardens and the phenomenal restaurant. Every detail is thoughtful and perfectly executed. I thought Arles would be a quick trip while passing through Provence but instead I’m already planning my next visit just so I can stay at L’Arlatan again. Thank you for an incredible experience!

This is due to the superb team now running the hotel, one of the most impressive collections of professional hoteliers you are likely to find, and a blessing for this small town. The new chef is amazingly good. The wine selection (Domaine de Deves) is top notch. Whether you are dealing with Maxime and colleagues on reception, or Lara and Pierre and Sarah and colleagues in events and the restaurant, you are in truly exceptional hands. And this team is allowing the L’Arlatan’s natural advantages of location and their superb decor by Jorge Prado to shine all the brighter. Thank you for a superb experience.

20/06/2026: Got a recommendation from the hotel staff and it was super good! The food was amazing, very fresh and local, service was good and fast, loved it. Totally recommend if you are looking for a local great food.

18/07/2026: The Agachon restaurant on the road to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is well-located. The welcome was fantastic! We had two grilled cuttlefish – absolutely delicious! 👍🙂 The service was quick, and the homemade desserts were amazing. I highly recommend stopping by. You can come at 2 pm and they'll serve you at your table. There's a shaded terrace and an air-conditioned dining room. Thank you, Agachon! See you soon! 🙂👍
