It deserves to exist. When you're thirsty, it's a shame there's no ice in the glasses.
10/08/2025: A very nice stop on our way to Lozère. Warm and impeccable service with a welcome from the owner. Delicious food, 21 euro menu with starter/main course/dessert + a quarter of wine. Their homemade fries are to die for (a Belgian says so). Very pleasant terrace to escape the heatwave. In short, highly recommended, we will return with great pleasure.

16/01/2025: What can I say, other than I hope I came across the wrong time or the wrong person. The waiter comes to us and says “yes? » a little surprised we say hello to him and ask him if we can have a drink with 3 people and he tells us no and that it is obvious that his bar is full at that time... meh as an answer, I think that we are doing better in terms of customer service. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to invite 2 colleagues for a drink at the end of the day. We probably won't come back to this bar next time. I would do another test just to be sure next time but I have little hope.

11/09/2023: A fuir..... allez à côté au bar le glacier ..... Ici pour aller aux toilettes vous tombez sur une mégère qui vous dit : VOUS ALLEZ OÙ ? ...... C'EST FERMÉ LES TOILETTES ...... C'est marrant pour payer mon argent est bon ....bref qu'elle change de métier cette bonne à rien !!!!!!

24/08/2024: Well located restaurant, and that will be the only positive point. This is the last time I let myself be fooled by a “tout”! Yuck mussels (free because not eaten), plate with very very average skewer, fries full of burnt oil deposits, we had to ask for water and bread many times, in short, not recommended at all !

30/08/2024: Received by the female version of Poutine, we only stopped for a drink after ordering only 5 drinks, she came to ask us for the total at the same time as she served us our drinks. Not taking the card below 20€, and lacking cash, we asked to wait for the rest of our group who had some. Impossible in fact because according to her the owner had to go shopping in Millau. Not taking checks or contactless, she asked us coldly: “Are you kidding me? »
Always very friendly of course!
She almost kicked us out of her establishment. A few minutes after leaving the place, customers were served and the owner was still there. Pinocchio would be proud of her. Liar and unpleasant, she should surely have applied for the Disneyland naughty parade.

A restaurant well located near the lake.
The welcome is good and authentic, the cuisine is simple and efficient.

05/11/2025: Absolutely not up to standard! €110 in November for an overnight stay in a dated room with freezing tiles, no heating in the bathroom where you're absolutely freezing, and what a bathroom it is (see photo). You have to wait 10 minutes for hot water with no pressure, and there's nothing to hold the shower head while you shower, plus an old shower curtain that sticks to you! No duvet cover. It's not even up to the standard of an Ibis Budget, and as for the food: terrible! A set menu, not good at all. Putting parsley everywhere to make it look pretty is pointless; it doesn't magically change the taste. We were freezing in the restaurant; I kept my coat on the whole meal. Coke was served in a glass hidden behind a counter: was it really Coke? And breakfast? What a treat! They bring one croissant per person, no more! Even an American wouldn't drink the coffee: it's just water! And apart from a small piece of bread and some yogurt, nothing else, that's all!
Oh, but where are we going with this? €110??? Stop treating people like idiots!
21/09/2025: Regarding the Esquielle restaurant,
Disappointing.
No choice of dishes.
112 euros for two for a salad and a stew with pasta
when we went to a restaurant to eat something other than the usual dishes.
Dessert: a cake with a scoop of ice cream.
As for the service, it's best not to mention it.
For a Saturday night, "Nobody" and the atmosphere was very cold!
Apart from the very pretty decor, nothing else!!!
We won't be going back and we don't recommend it to our friends!!!

On vous amène 2 dorades grillées au barbecue.... qui sont froides, idem pour le riz. Des brochettes de crevettes tièdes avec des frites froides... et une entrecôte à la place d'une pizza. Finalement la pizza arrive 1 minute après et quand on signale que les 3 plats sont froids (on les a depuis 2 minutes seulement), la gérante nous balance avec son chewing-gum en bouche (très élégant...) " je vous préviens, ce sera réchauffé au micro ondes" , en même temps on n'a pas trop le choix du coup.
Au lieu de s'excuser pour ce souci, c'est nous qui devons accepter l'incompétence du service.
Pour continuer la série, en plein repas, un serveur ramasse les pots de sauces individuelles dans demander si on en veut...
merveilleux !
Compte tenu de ces mésaventures successives, nous nous sommes abstenus de prendre un dessert.
Aucune ristourne bien sûr.
Donc Fuyez ! Nous aurions dû lire les avis google et trip advisor avant.😏
Et ne pas nous fier aux premiers sourires pour attirer les clients car après on vous fait comprendre que vos demandes (légitimes) les agacent.
03/11/2024: Poisson correct, moules marinière sans goût, frites sûrement congelées pas assez cuites, vin accroche . service tellement long on a évité dessert et café. Impression d un self à table: peu de sourire et d attention envers la clientèle. L établissement bénéfice du cadre de la place principale et d une belle progression cependant notre essai ne sera pas transformé

03/08/2024: We were at the hotel nearby, and frankly what a great discovery! A super pleasant cozy setting, a very friendly and welcoming team, very good advice in case of hesitation or for wine! The price is a little high, but rightly so because the products are excellent and the dishes cooked with excellence! We will definitely come back, especially since, which may be useful, we had with us our little dog who was accepted with enthusiasm!!

Des plats très copieux et bien présentés. Je recommande, les couteaux en entrée et le foie en persillade.
La terrasse du restaurant est située sur une petite place adorable typique de Villeneuve-lès-Avignon.
L'accueil est sympathique et le service efficace.
Un bon rapport qualité prix.

18/09/2024: I recently stayed at this 5 star hotel and am delighted with my experience. Everything was top notch! The services were impeccable, with staff always available and attentive. A big thank you to the housekeepers who were perfect: they made sure every detail was taken care of and were always attentive.
The general atmosphere of the hotel is really pleasant, and I particularly appreciated the amenities offered. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury stay and exceptional service. An address not to be missed!
