07/12/2024: Yesterday, we were in this restaurant for the rock frequency evening, a top group performing Johnny's classics. On the other hand, as for the meal, I paid 16€90 for a plate of salad, with absolutely nothing on the plate!!!! Other regulars had the same reaction!!!! A shame to serve this! I won't eat there again.
03/11/2024: Hello. Arrival at the beach side restaurant at 12:30 p.m. starter ordered immediately, I was served my starter at 1:30 p.m. 6 cold shrimps on the plate, 3 of which no longer had heads (probably reheated from the day before given the state of freshness) forgot to the 2nd starter, (my partner's mussels au gratin) after three requests arrived 20 minutes later.
We ate the starter at 1:50 p.m.
The dishes arrive 1 hour later after getting up to ask for them.
Dry plus 10 fries plus salad put in bulk without any presentation.
Uncooked bull skewer, also placed loose on the plate.
Dessert: chocolate mousse with almost no chocolate taste and tarte tatin with a burnt taste.
Departure 3:45 p.m. (disgusted)

02/12/2025: Avoid this place! What's the owner doing here? Awful pizza, awful service, awful cleanliness—nothing is right. It's a shame.
23/10/2025: A little family visit tonight for a karaoke evening. Reading the reviews, we were worried about the 1.5-hour drive there, and another 1.5 hours back home. But honestly, my 11-year-old daughter, my boyfriend, and I had a great evening. A friendly team, unlike what we'd read in the other reviews.
The only slight downside was the price of the pizzas, which I found a bit high. But they were very good, so we consoled ourselves with the taste!
Thank you for this lovely evening; we'll be back.
Thank you for everything. And thank you for the little thoughtful gesture for my daughter at the end of the evening; it really touched us.

23/10/2025: Run away from this hotel. The price is exorbitant for the service provided. Everything is abandoned, terraces, gardens, etc. There's a Sahil leaf blower charging in the lobby (haha), and the reception is I don't care. The room is unheated, I had to ask for a space heater, which they provided... and it didn't work haha!!! There was a kettle in the room, but it didn't work either.
In short, everything is pathetic. It seems to be Logis de France approved, maybe in the 2000s, but in any case, it smells like a scam: we're receiving guests while waiting to be closed... I'm going to alert Logis de France right away.
22/08/2025: Disastrous experience: reservation made and confirmed, deposit paid, and the hotel is closed without any news. No answer on the phone, the place is deserted and seems in a really questionable state of repair. Absolutely avoid

14/02/2026: We celebrated my father-in-law's 90th birthday. A very warm welcome. The meal was generous and excellent. It's a pleasure to be back at our village restaurant. Well done and thank you for bringing this place back to life.
14/02/2026: 1 star because I had to give it one star.
Valentine's Day evening.
Waited over an hour and a half for the starter, supposedly due to a table mix-up, still no starter. The next two courses arrived together, and I'm still waiting for my pint of beer. No apologies from the owner, who preferred to joke around with his friends. Not even the complimentary aperitif.
To avoid making a scene and ruining the evening for everyone else, we decided to leave.
We miss the previous owners.
In short, we won't be back anytime soon.

On vous amène 2 dorades grillées au barbecue.... qui sont froides, idem pour le riz. Des brochettes de crevettes tièdes avec des frites froides... et une entrecôte à la place d'une pizza. Finalement la pizza arrive 1 minute après et quand on signale que les 3 plats sont froids (on les a depuis 2 minutes seulement), la gérante nous balance avec son chewing-gum en bouche (très élégant...) " je vous préviens, ce sera réchauffé au micro ondes" , en même temps on n'a pas trop le choix du coup.
Au lieu de s'excuser pour ce souci, c'est nous qui devons accepter l'incompétence du service.
Pour continuer la série, en plein repas, un serveur ramasse les pots de sauces individuelles dans demander si on en veut...
merveilleux !
Compte tenu de ces mésaventures successives, nous nous sommes abstenus de prendre un dessert.
Aucune ristourne bien sûr.
Donc Fuyez ! Nous aurions dû lire les avis google et trip advisor avant.😏
Et ne pas nous fier aux premiers sourires pour attirer les clients car après on vous fait comprendre que vos demandes (légitimes) les agacent.
03/11/2024: Poisson correct, moules marinière sans goût, frites sûrement congelées pas assez cuites, vin accroche . service tellement long on a évité dessert et café. Impression d un self à table: peu de sourire et d attention envers la clientèle. L établissement bénéfice du cadre de la place principale et d une belle progression cependant notre essai ne sera pas transformé

rapport qualité prix un peu élevé et pour le prix on peut s’attendre à des mets d’une excellente qualité ce qui malheureusement n’a pas été le cas pour notre viande (côte à l’os - bœuf ) je sais on n’est pas forcément dans la viande mais quand même
Pour ce qui est du personnel et la qualité du service rien à dire personnel très sympa et rapide dans le service
Restaurant à faire pour le cadre mais avec des mets avec un peu plus de qualité ça aurait été parfait

02/10/2024: The young man at the reception of our hotel recommended the restaurants of the pretty Place des Esclafidous with its small central fountain.
The Magnolias restaurant was the first that we tried the evening of our arrival in Nîmes.
The young waitress who welcomed us was efficient and very pleasant.
We chose the starter + main course + dessert menu at €39.
The dishes served were quite good and well presented but we were surprised to have to pay €1 extra per carafe of filtered water.
During our stay in Nîmes, it was the only establishment that we saw practicing this not very commercial measure.
23/09/2024: Very nice, small and personal restaurant with delicious food. When the weather is nice, there is an outdoor area protected from the wind and sun. The service was very attentive, super friendly and advised us on our selection. Menu available in French, English and Spanish.

16/12/2024: Good welcome from the boss and the young, friendly waiters. We enjoyed the Gardianne as always. A wonderful dessert to finish.
The establishment is pleasant and the sanitary area is top notch.
Decent price.
15/12/2024: Very nice moment for an impromptu lunch at Grau du Roi on a Sunday at noon.
Warm and attentive staff.
Excellent value for money. Very pretty view of the sea, the entrance to the port and Camargue port. We will definitely come back.

13/10/2025: Everything is a deception, the food is all preheated in a microwave. Meat and fish is not fresh and has been frozen for weeks before . Everything is precooked and frozen. Nothing is fresh or made onsite. I know this because I sent my daughter to do a year at Vatel Nimes to gather the truth on this fake establishment. She has the power to expose the truth to the world. I have already said too much, they might be following me.

11/11/2024: We chose to book at Camping Domaine de Massereau, convinced that the experience and services promised by a 5-star campsite would justify a higher budget. Unfortunately, this decision turned out to be a big disappointment. When we arrived, the welcome was warm, but this remained the only positive point of our stay.
We had used Homair's Cool n' Camp app to plan our trip, which advertised amenities such as an oven and dishwasher. However, upon our arrival, we discovered that this equipment was not present. This absence was particularly problematic because I suffer from celiac disease and need an oven to bake my gluten-free breads. After discussion, the director was able to provide us with an additional oven, but it took up considerable space on the dining room table in an already cramped accommodation for six people.
Added to this first inconvenience was the deplorable cleanliness of our accommodation. As soon as we moved in, we noticed the presence of ants, spiders and webs, some old, indicating an obvious lack of thorough cleaning. Despite our request, the intervention of the cleaning team did not bring any real improvement: the cobwebs remained in place, and a few superficial gestures had been made, such as leaving treats to try to satisfy us. In addition, the discovery of flip flops left by the previous occupants under the bathroom furniture demonstrated insufficient cleaning.
After multiple complaints at reception, the director assured us that a complaint would be filed on our behalf and that compensation would be considered. However, a few days later we received an email from Homair clarifying that no compensation would be given as an oven had been provided and cleaning carried out. This response reinforced our disappointment with the management of the campsite.
Furthermore, the campsite bar did not meet our expectations, with slow service and expensive and poorly prepared cocktails. As for the swimming pool, its capacity has become insufficient for the number of vacationers present, forcing them to get there early to enjoy it.
We still hope to receive a favorable response from Homair and the campsite management, who, for the moment, seem to ignore our complaints.
