09/01/2025: Super dinner right in front of the beautiful Nîmes bullring. Rich and tasty dishes but not too greasy. They also have bull meat for the connoisseurs. The tartare and the mushroom ravioli au gratin as a starter are very good. Excellent desserts. Very valid prices.
16/08/2024: Excellent homemade sorbets after visiting the Nîmes amphitheater. Friendly welcome and homemade products.

The cuisine is superb and is accompanied by a fine wine list.
Everything comes together to make it one of my favorite restaurants.

Cuisine 4: it was good but not wow
I still recommend it.

24/06/2025: Only 1 socket in the entire room and it's sticking out of the wall, none in the bathroom. Dinner service was extremely long, even though there were 3 tables of 2 and 1 of 4 to serve. The photos on the website are misleading, they show you a magnificent covered terrace with several benches for an aperitif, but in fact it's completely abandoned and dirty (see photo). Overpriced, a real tourist trap, we definitely won't be back.
23/06/2025: Externally the site is magnificent, exuding charm and authenticity (building and swimming pool) but many drawbacks disrupt the stay, such as the room rates which are rather consistent at first glance for a 4 star but the aging air conditioning which only gives off a semblance of air, prevented us from sleeping in this strong heat (paying €236 a night for three people without being able to sleep is regrettable..) the lack of equipment such as simple trays during breakfast, or even electrical outlets in the corner of the bed, leaves us with a feeling of frustration, an establishment with a lot of potential but for the moment which is quite far from being up to the standard of a 4 star hotel.

11/11/2024: This Saturday, November 9, we went to eat at the Fleurs café/brasserie in front of the station. I only have one word: big disappointment! We ordered John Dory and sea bream. When the Saint Pierre arrived, we noticed that it was undercooked almost raw. As for the sea bream, that's not what we were served. The fillet was red/pink in color and not white like the sea bream! We took the liberty of telling the waitress when we paid. She went to the kitchen to report it and no one came to explain this error to us. They even denied it and passed the message through the waitress.
What courage! Restaurant to avoid!

C'est une aventure culinaire, les plats sont étonnants, les saveurs exaltées, l'association des ingrédients parfaitement réussie.
C'était notre deuxième fois à l'auberge et certainement pas la dernière.
17/08/2024: Nous avons apprécié notre soirée.
L'endroit est charmant, la cour sous les arbres et le grand jardin attenant sont plaisants ; l'espace entre les tables offre suffisamment de calme et d'intimité.
La carte est simple, preuve sans doute que le "fait maison" est privilégié. Peut-être un tout petit peu trop cher sur l'addition finale.

11/11/2024: Very warm welcome, good food, nice and well heated room.
Very good value for money
The only downside was the breakfast served until 9am, much too early, 10am would have been perfect.
14/10/2024: Pleasant night spent as part of the Stevenson path.
The room is comfortable and functional. The half board is quality; the dinner was very good (fish which is rare on the path!) and the breakfast was practical because it was also available before time in the form of a tray in the room (this allows the autonomy of hikers depending on their their departure time to reach Alès).
The welcome is friendly and smiling.
The hostel is a little outside the city (and the GR).

This Sunday an inedible frozen cake, while spending 26 euros for 6 people....
It's a shame at that price, and I got a response over the phone

06/10/2024: Cuisine délicieuse et parfumée. Cadre magique, service au top et playlist vintage qui fait du bien… découvert par hasard mais meilleure surprise de notre week-end. Foncez!
13/09/2024: Wir kamen, um Lussan zu sehen und entdeckten Chez Rosette. Ein kleines Restaurant mit kleiner aber feiner Karte. Frisch und regional: Küche und Getränke. Mein grünes Curry mit Einkorn war wunderbar gewürzt, das Gemüse hatte Biss. Mein Mann hatte Fisch und Chips mit Kohlsalat, es sah auf jeden Fall auch lecker aus. Die empfohlenen Weine kamen leicht und spritzig, passend zur Mittagszeit. Zum Dessert Crumble mit Reineclauden und Joghurteis, fruchtig und knusprig und ein Brownie mit Pistazieneis, der sensationell lecker war. Beides warm, nicht zu süß, perfekt.

27/08/2024: For me one of the must-see places in Alès, the prices are very good, you eat quality food there and the team is really at the top, for Alesians and tourists alike an address to visit at all costs you will not be disappointed
24/08/2024: Venus en début de soirée sur réservation pour 6 personnes. L’accueil a été irréprochable et la prise en charge efficace.
La suite est un peu moins top.
Prise en charge rapide et expéditive entre la prise de commande apéritif et plat qui malheureusement est servi déjà tiède, voire déjà froid. Concernant le vin, nous avons simplement le droit de nous rendre dans la cave et choisir sans explication ni recommandations avec un choix très limité sur le rosé.
C’est bien dommage.

04/09/2024: L’accueil a l’entrée de la terrasse laisse un peu à désirer. La personne en charge était plus affairée à consulter son registre de réservation qu’à lever les yeux sur les clients en attente d’une table pourtant réservée à l’avance dans notre cas. Ceci dit le service s’est montré plus réactif. Les plats et suggestions sont très limités mais bons. Jolies propositions de vins locaux à des prix raisonnables.
