08/08/2026: The staff are wonderful. The food is amazing with great presentation and colours. The price is very good value. They were very accommodating for my nut allergy, despite the set menu (I did inform them in advance when booking). I really recommend!

18/07/2026: They say the sky is full of stars. Well, our eyes were filled with them too. What a moment! In the heart of the village of Saint-Émilion, nestled in a refined setting of stone and beautiful trees, the cuisine is worthy of a Michelin star: creative, precise, and full of delicacy and emotion. The wine pairing is as ambitious as it is daring, showcasing the diversity of French wines, from Bordeaux, of course, to Provence and the Pyrénées-Orientales. And what can we say about the dessert... An absolutely magical combination of strawberry, meringue, and violet. It's undoubtedly one of the best desserts we've ever had the pleasure of eating. A truly wonderful way to end an already exceptional meal.

22/07/2026: Overall, I was completely delighted by the warm welcome from the team and the atmosphere during my stay at L'Absolu in Saint-Emilion! The beauty of the surrounding countryside was well integrated into the establishment, which was very friendly and lively.

03/08/2026: A superb family experience at La Côte Braisée! We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The children loved their meal: the meat was delicious, perfectly cooked, the side dishes were excellent, and the portions were particularly generous. It's lovely to find a dedicated children's menu prepared with the same care as the adult dishes. For our part, we thoroughly enjoyed the foie gras, the Périgord salad, the ribeye steak, and the duck breast skewer. The ingredients were flavorful, the cooking was expertly executed, and the portions were generous. The service was also impeccable: professional, attentive, and very pleasant with the children. The warm atmosphere contributed to making this lunch a truly wonderful family experience. A flawless experience and an address we highly recommend when visiting Saint-Émilion!

06/08/2026: Fantastic food and excellent service! We visited for dinner and absolutely loved it. We started with the cucumber gazpacho (the special of the day) followed by stuffed turkey ballotine and duck breast for mains. It was just delicious. The service was just as impressive. The whole restaurant was full, yet only two people were running everything seamlessly. They were warm, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. If you are around, give it a try. We would happily come back!

07/03/2026: An entrance opens onto the street, leading under a beautifully decorated wooden roof adorned with string lights. The zucchini carpaccio with octopus is a delight! A superb atmosphere with soft background music.

30/07/2026: Lovely meal in Saint Emilion. Really great quality and great taste in all dishes. Ordered, amongst other things, a super tasty and well presented duck confit on mashed potatoes and steak tartare which had a lovely spicy twist to it. The crab roll was fab too - huge. All dishes we had were great for sharing which is a plus for families with kids! All dishes were seasoned to perfection.

22/07/2026: This establishment is a true restaurant amidst dozens of tourist traps. The unique setting is superb. You enjoy the natural coolness and avoid the crowds on the terraces. A real treat. The meal is simply exquisite. Nothing to say, except... Wow!!! All four of us were unanimous. It was perfect from appetizer to dessert. I slightly regret the limited selection of wines by the glass and especially the fact that we were served wines we hadn't ordered but which seemed more appropriate. It's true they were good, but even if it was a mistake, my choice remains the one that should have been taken into account. So it's a very minor, tiny drawback. The manager's constant presence in the dining room might seem intrusive, but we appreciated the opportunity to chat. In short, don't hesitate. By going to this restaurant, you avoid the crowds, the heat, and poor-quality food, all in an incredible setting with highly competent staff.

08/07/2026: If you're Spanish, don't go. They treat you terribly, the food is bad and expensive, and the waitresses are very unfriendly.

25/07/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Terrasse Rouge. The food was excellent: delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The staff was particularly pleasant, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. The setting is superb, with a stunning view that made the experience even more enjoyable. We were with children, and we greatly appreciated the thoughtful touch of the staff who provided coloring pages to keep them occupied during the meal. A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend.

22/05/2026: The standout meal of a Bordeaux trip that included several more decorated kitchens. Chef Thibaut Gamba's style is delicate and seasonal — the white asparagus with morels and nasturtium read like a thesis on what Gironde produce can do in May, and the lamb course (rare, layered, with a sabayon and broad beans) was the kind of plate where each element earned its place. The amuse-bouche and pre-dessert were equally considered — no filler, no flourish for its own sake. Service was precise without theatre, attentive without hovering. The room — wisteria pergola outside, the plush dining room inside the 1848 building — is the kind of setting other Saint-Émilion restaurants are trying to imitate. We came with our own bottles and the team accommodated graciously, glassware and pacing handled as if it were their own list. One star feels underrated - this is where you want to eat.

20/05/2026: Logis de la Cadène was one of the most unforgettable dining experiences of our entire wedding week in France. The restaurant manages to do something incredibly special — honoring the soul and tradition of Saint-Émilion while carrying an understated modern energy that reminded me of some of the best dining experiences in New York. The food was elegant, thoughtful, and beautifully executed without ever trying too hard. Every detail — from the pacing of the meal to the warmth of the service — felt intentional and deeply hospitable. Quiet luxury in the truest sense. In a region filled with famous restaurants, this was the place we left genuinely excited about. A hidden gem that deserves to be talked about far more.

02/05/2026: I didn't stay overnight, but I enjoyed the magnificent terrace with a nice glass of white Bordeaux. A top-quality vintage for 9 euros and a breathtaking view.

08/03/2026: Fantastic experience. Stayed three nights in April. We were in the Pavie room. Big room with large windows opening up over the terrace. The breakfast/bar room was great with croissants and bread and each morning a different homemade cake. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful from the bartenders and breakfast staff to the front desk who arranged bike rentals to wine tastings and the underground tour. Also ate at the restaurant one night. A little on the pricey side but each course was better than the last. From the soup to the dessert.

23/04/2026: An exceptional place with wonderful people and an extraordinary concept. From the Mont Dor cheese to the fantastic charcuterie, delicious new potatoes, and incredibly tasty raclette cheese, everything was superb. It was also unusual that you could take the wines, labeled with their prices, directly from the window display to your table. The service was incredibly friendly and left nothing to be desired. We would gladly return anytime.

20/07/2026: Delicious canelés! I recommend trying them. I don't usually like canelés, but these are excellent in terms of taste and texture.

18/07/2026: A historic macaron shop in Saint-Émilion with a tradition said to date back around 400 years. Unlike the colorful filled macarons most people know today, which are Parisian-style macarons, these are made in a much older and simpler style. Since the price difference between package sizes is relatively small and these particular macarons are difficult to find elsewhere, buying a larger box may be worthwhile. They keep reasonably well when refrigerated, but they are best enjoyed soon after purchase, while the outside is still slightly crisp and the inside remains soft and moist.

06/08/2026: Really nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace!! We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The cold lentil soup (suggestion of the day) was super refreshing, and the slow-cooked lamb for two was absolutely delicious - so tender and flavourful. The only small miss was the wine. We asked for a recommendation, but it didn’t match our style. No big deal though—everyone’s taste is different. Would happily come back. Highly recommend!

06/08/2026: Third time visiting L'Envers du Décor, and I have to say I think it's gone downhill a bit. The atmosphere is still the best thing about this place—exactly what you'd expect from a lively French bistro, with plenty of character and a great buzz. Unfortunately, the food really fell short this time. We had the T-bone steak and steak tartare, among other dishes, and I mention the meat because everyone who ate it ended up feeling sick later that night. It was really disappointing given how much we'd enjoyed our previous visits. The service wasn't great either. We had to wait around 10 minutes for our side dishes after our mains had already arrived, and our waitress wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. I hope this was just an off night, but based on this visit, I'd be hesitant to return

16/07/2026: Avoid this breakfast. Day-old bread and croissants, or worse. Low-quality juice and jam.

15/07/2026: This restaurant needs to hire more waiters. The ones there were trying their best but two waiters to serve all outside tables was not enough. I waited for 30 minutes to be served before leaving without so much as a drink. Disappointing.
