11/10/2026: Julien and Catherine provided an experience so exquisite, we returned to St. Emilion for our final night in the Bordeaux area just to dine with Le Tertre a second time. Thank you for putting so much thought and care into each dish, each wine pairing, and every moment of the experience. I look forward to returning with my wife on a future trip. The menu rotates, but if you have a chance to try their Foie Gras, Jersey Beef, Veal, or Duck, you will not be disappointed. Take the time to ask Catherine what wine pairs best with each course. 10/10/2026: Absolutely amazing Restaurant! The food is incredibly delicious and plated thoughtfully and beautifully, but what really makes the difference is the amazing service by the owners themselves and the fantastic wealth of wine knowledge when pairing a dish with a wine! I will come here again and again, highly recommend you get a reservation as this place fills up every night.

24/09/2026: Amazing flavors, beautiful presentation, and impeccable service. My wife and I both agreed we had our best meal in years when we visited at the recommendation of our B&B host 2 weeks ago. When we arrived, we didn't know they were Michelin recommended. When we left, we were surprised they didn't have a star.

05/10/2026: From the moment we walked in, the welcome was the most unpleasant we've ever experienced. We decided to eat there based on the reviews. We were turned away as if we were rotten fish, practically yelled at for "daring" to ask for a table for two. (Several empty tables) This kind of restaurant shouldn't be so enthusiastic about its customers.

28/09/2026: Absolutely delicious food and a restaurant that is definitely worth booking in advance. Be sure to make a reservation, as it is always difficult to get a table. Every dish prepared by the chef was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. I especially loved the seafood dishes. The fish was cooked to perfection—tender and moist, with just the right texture—allowing you to really appreciate the delicate, naturally sweet flavor of the sea. And one more thing: their red wine is excellent! Definitely give it a try when you visit. A wonderful dining experience with beautifully prepared food, great value, and genuinely delicious flavors. Highly recommended!

07/03/2026: An entrance opens onto the street, leading under a beautifully decorated wooden roof adorned with string lights. The zucchini carpaccio with octopus is a delight! A superb atmosphere with soft background music.

31/08/2026: Incredible dining experience for lunch, with amazing service, food, ambiance and wine list. We did the three course lunch menu, which also was accompanied by a set of starters from the chef and sweets to close out this magical afternoon. The staff was on point, attentive and very well organized throughout our dining experience. Highly recommended!

22/05/2026: The standout meal of a Bordeaux trip that included several more decorated kitchens. Chef Thibaut Gamba's style is delicate and seasonal — the white asparagus with morels and nasturtium read like a thesis on what Gironde produce can do in May, and the lamb course (rare, layered, with a sabayon and broad beans) was the kind of plate where each element earned its place. The amuse-bouche and pre-dessert were equally considered — no filler, no flourish for its own sake. Service was precise without theatre, attentive without hovering. The room — wisteria pergola outside, the plush dining room inside the 1848 building — is the kind of setting other Saint-Émilion restaurants are trying to imitate. We came with our own bottles and the team accommodated graciously, glassware and pacing handled as if it were their own list. One star feels underrated - this is where you want to eat.

13/09/2026: Their chocolate macarons, while still respecting the original recipe, are simply delicious. Their shop is a real treat for the eyes and the taste buds, with a wide variety of sweets to choose from. The staff are welcoming and friendly; we'll definitely be back...

24/09/2026: A must visit place in St. Emilion while visiting south of france. It is on a terrace with a big area covered with red glass beads (the type you use in fire places) - they seated us at the edge so we are the first table in front of the beads. After wine tasting, we were wined-out so did not feel like eating, and since we are vegetarians, we ordered small plates. They manager requested us to order atleast one main course as they gave us premium seating - this is fine. Though we were vegetarians, they cooked a great meal for us, and overall experience was nice. When I went to pay, the manager enquired about our health as we said "we did not feel too well and could not order" - nice touch. I strongly recommend making a reservation for lunch here when you go to St. Emilion.

07/09/2026: We had the sole and volaille supreme . The fish black rice came with so much cheese in long strings I had to send it back because strange combination with fish however it was solved expertly and correctly and we both had a lovely lunch . In winter and with less heat flies people we’d probably stay for a coffee . It’s inside dining with the tiniest kitchen next to one toilet , so that makes it all feel a bit crowded especially in hot weather . The staff were super friendly and attentive. Reservations recommended.

01/09/2026: Honestly, it was perfect. The dishes were of very high quality, almost bistronomic. The service lived up to the restaurant's reputation, which is to say, perfect. The only downside... the price was a bit high for the overall experience. But the setting made us forget about that.

05/09/2026: Had a really great meal here when on holiday with my family, they have a beautiful courtyard out the back. Not a cheap restaurant but the food was lovely and lots of choice to suit everyone. Would recommend booking as it seems to get very busy (understandably!)

30/08/2026: The restaurant is superbly located and the food is brilliant too and portions are huge. Both the soup and lamb were delicious. The outdoor setup is also fantastic. Only regret I have is the bottle of wine suggested did not match my taste and I had to leave the half empty.

29/09/2026: A gem in Saint-Émilion: top-notch cuisine, a shaded terrace, and outstanding service! An excellent address not to be missed! The interior dining room offers a very warm, cozy, and convivial atmosphere. And for outdoor dining, the restaurant boasts a charming little shaded terrace in a closed courtyard, ideal for enjoying a particularly pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing moment. Another truly appreciable plus: service is provided continuously from 12 pm to 6:30 pm. This is perfect for taking your time and savoring your meal without having to rush or worry about not being served after 2 pm! As for the food, the quality is consistently high from appetizer to dessert: flavorful, generous, and beautifully presented dishes. A huge thank you also goes to the warm welcome and service, which make all the difference. The waiter, full of humor, and the waitress (who is also the owner), particularly cheerful, are both extremely welcoming. They also gave excellent advice on wine selection. A wonderful experience from start to finish; we will definitely return. You can go without hesitation!

30/09/2026: Good afternoon, My mother and I went to this restaurant for lunch because it looked nice from the outside. But to our surprise, we had an unpleasant experience. The first thing I asked the waiter was for a table for two, and then I asked where the restroom was. Since I don't speak French, I tried my best to express myself in English. The waiter who served us was dismissive and raised his voice, telling us there were no restrooms in the restaurant and rudely ushering us outside, telling us to go to the tourist office. Although it could have been a misunderstanding due to the language barrier, I doubt there really were no restrooms in the restaurant. I do not recommend this place because the customer service was appalling. The waiter showed a great deal of contempt for the customers. I have attached a photo of the facade so you know which restaurant I'm referring to.
