22/05/2026: Lovely waitstaff and presentation was impeccable. Intimate setting far from the main square for a leisurely and relaxed meal. The local cheeses were all very unique and all the dishes had a variation of texture, flavors and experiences. The “emotional” menu had dishes seemingly in conflict with themselves but each bite was harmony. My favorite was picking the macaroon beet from the “soil” and seeing a little teardrop shape playful nature of it all. Taking yourself not too seriously by exacting all seriousness felt like how the chefs directed their execution. Thank you for a wonderful experience! I especially loved the hand feel of dinnerware and choice of designer utinsels to exact the feeling of whimsy , but professional attention to detail.

26/04/2026: Visited in April 2026 Food was great, we've ordered lunch set and was very much value for money, 3 set dishes all delicious Service is fast, friendly and great Ended up it's a family owned resto, the father and son are serving. Cave-like inside is densed, but they managed to accommodate so many tourists and everyone was serverd well. Kudos to owners. For sure, recommended if you're in town and look for a quality dinner

27/04/2026: A nice brasserie with a large terrace where we had lunch. The Nordic waffle was very good and plentiful. The only slight drawback was the lack of cake, peanuts, or anything else to accompany our aperitif, which was a shame. We had a pleasant time. Good value for money.

27/04/2026: It was a nice restaurant, the meat was great. The duck fois gras was splendid. However the deserts were tasteless. I suggest to try the crème brûlée.

19/05/2026: The setting is spectacular and the design is superb (Jean Nouvel), the food is of very good quality, and the price is quite reasonable. However, I had made a tentative reservation for 13 people, but I confirmed 24 hours in advance by email and phone that there would only be 12 of us. I had to insist heavily to avoid being charged for the missing person. They even offered to bring the dish to the table so we could share it! This was so impolite, and it's the first time I've encountered this problem. It often happens that a guest (even for business lunches) cancels at the last minute, whereas in our case, we took the trouble to let them know! I was "offered" the menu—they didn't "offer" a tip for this reason.

22/05/2026: The standout meal of a Bordeaux trip that included several more decorated kitchens. Chef Thibaut Gamba's style is delicate and seasonal — the white asparagus with morels and nasturtium read like a thesis on what Gironde produce can do in May, and the lamb course (rare, layered, with a sabayon and broad beans) was the kind of plate where each element earned its place. The amuse-bouche and pre-dessert were equally considered — no filler, no flourish for its own sake. Service was precise without theatre, attentive without hovering. The room — wisteria pergola outside, the plush dining room inside the 1848 building — is the kind of setting other Saint-Émilion restaurants are trying to imitate. We came with our own bottles and the team accommodated graciously, glassware and pacing handled as if it were their own list. One star feels underrated - this is where you want to eat.

20/05/2026: Logis de la Cadène was one of the most unforgettable dining experiences of our entire wedding week in France. The restaurant manages to do something incredibly special — honoring the soul and tradition of Saint-Émilion while carrying an understated modern energy that reminded me of some of the best dining experiences in New York. The food was elegant, thoughtful, and beautifully executed without ever trying too hard. Every detail — from the pacing of the meal to the warmth of the service — felt intentional and deeply hospitable. Quiet luxury in the truest sense. In a region filled with famous restaurants, this was the place we left genuinely excited about. A hidden gem that deserves to be talked about far more.

02/05/2026: I didn't stay overnight, but I enjoyed the magnificent terrace with a nice glass of white Bordeaux. A top-quality vintage for 9 euros and a breathtaking view.

08/03/2026: Fantastic experience. Stayed three nights in April. We were in the Pavie room. Big room with large windows opening up over the terrace. The breakfast/bar room was great with croissants and bread and each morning a different homemade cake. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful from the bartenders and breakfast staff to the front desk who arranged bike rentals to wine tastings and the underground tour. Also ate at the restaurant one night. A little on the pricey side but each course was better than the last. From the soup to the dessert.

23/04/2026: An exceptional place with wonderful people and an extraordinary concept. From the Mont Dor cheese to the fantastic charcuterie, delicious new potatoes, and incredibly tasty raclette cheese, everything was superb. It was also unusual that you could take the wines, labeled with their prices, directly from the window display to your table. The service was incredibly friendly and left nothing to be desired. We would gladly return anytime.

08/05/2026: We had a wonderful time, both the food and the service were excellent. Everything was delicious, from the flank steak to the duck breast with its (delicious) foie gras sauce, and the desserts were simply divine. Thank you to Fabrice for the service; it was a truly excellent experience!

12/05/2026: A small shop brimming with sweet little temptations. If you're in the area, you simply have to pop in and see what catches your eye. We regret not trying the macarons. The canelés, however, are exactly to our taste.

09/05/2026: A childhood memory… that remains unchanged. Let's forget the price and focus on the recipe. Macarons bearing that name have nothing to do with these macarons. Come and try this tradition.
