03/07/2026: Sadly, I feel compelled to give a one star review for this property when it could have been a five star review. The room and hotel were great-looking. However, when we arrived at our room, it smelled strongly of what can only be described as a "burned electrical wire" type of smell. It was so strong we had the front desk attendant come up and check, and he agreed. It wasn't from outside, or in the hallway. But it was very strong in our room. After 30 minutes of tolerating it and starting to feel nauseous, we decided that we had to leave and find another hotel to stay at, as they had no other rooms available to move us to. We asked for a refund of the money spent and were denied that request by hotel management. They had an electrician inspect the room and found no problem. Which is fine, but the smell was there. It was strong. And it was confirmed by the hotel employee. If that isn't enough of a reason to refund a Rewards Member who has patronized Best Western properties many times over the past 6 months, than I don't know what is... I will say that the front desk attendant was super helpful, kind and supportive that evening. Buyer beware, when patronizing this property if there is a problem with management.

27/05/2026: Great hotel, close enough to the airport to be convenient, without feeling like you're "on airport". Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, with nothing being too much trouble.

20/09/2026: We had a great time last night, even though we only spoke Italian. A young man, I think a manager, was wearing a blue vest. He looked after us, advised us, and accompanied us—he was truly very kind. God bless him, we'd had a tough day of travel, and he lifted our spirits. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Everyone was very kind and smiling. Highly recommended.

06/09/2026: Today, last Sunday, September 6th, with all-you-can-eat mussels??? We got to the checkout... Ah!!! No mussels, we're "RIK...RAK?? Okay, we'll get something else. Half an hour later, ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT MUSSELS??? That's not good, Mr. Flunch... we're losing customers like that.

12/09/2026: A very popular spot in Victor Hugo, we're regulars there. I highly recommend the small pizzas, which are incredibly good. The size allows you to try several excellent recipes (duck breast, oriental, chorizo, Roquefort, etc.), and for market visitors, it's a great place to eat in. The lasagnas and croque-monsieurs are also very good and generous. And Sylvain and his whole team always have a smile on their faces. In short, don't hesitate!

02/09/2026: You don't come here expecting a gourmet experience, but rather home-style cooking like Grandma used to make, at a very reasonable price. A starter, main course, and dessert for €19. It's hearty, simple, and delicious. That's it.

19/09/2026: I won't be coming back. Seeing an employee picking her teeth in front of a customer and shaking your hand without washing it makes me not want to return.

03/09/2026: One of the saleswomen from September 2nd at 7:00 AM (the petite North African woman, 1.50m tall), perhaps we (the customers) are the ones at her beck and call? She was incredibly unpleasant and, on top of that, completely lacking in manners, since she clearly wasn't taught to say hello. Put her back on the clock at the French employment agency for the sake of people who get up early and would like to start the day in a more pleasant way. I don't pay to be talked down to.

04/09/2026: I went twice and was disappointed; it didn't live up to my expectations. The calzone wasn't cooked inside the first time. And the mountain ham the second time was spoiled and expired; I threw it in the trash.

14/08/2026: Great pizzeria, very friendly owner!!

12/09/2026: Frozen pizza dough. A very long wait for a pizza that was more than disappointing. The worst pizza of my life. Avoid at all costs.

12/09/2026: Friendly welcome, the owner was always smiling. We were served quickly considering how busy it was. The pizzas are excellent. Thin crust, just the way I like them. Highly recommended.

26/07/2026: A very mixed experience. The place was pleasant, the welcome friendly, with a special mention to our student waitress who was absolutely perfect. Ordering drinks and meals exclusively via QR code is fine, but this should be reflected in the price, as paying the same price as for table service is unjustified. In terms of value for money, the duck breast served on a melamine plate with a few fries and three lettuce leaves for €28 was not satisfactory.

14/07/2026: With everything I'd heard about this place, I wanted to celebrate my birthday there, but unfortunately, I won't be going back. The "fabulous view" of Cornebarrieu... well, we didn't get it. The reserved table was on the first floor, so no exceptional view. The prices are a bit high considering the portion sizes, but on the other hand, the food is very good, with fresh, well-presented ingredients. Then, in terms of organization, it's a complete disaster! You place your orders via QR code and receive a text message notification when your food is ready. Last night, an hour after ordering drinks, they still weren't ready. We had to go and ask at the counter. The same thing happened with our food order. And this continued all evening for additional orders... I think a reorganization of the service is essential. The QR code system, not being accessible to everyone, targets a specific clientele. It's a shame because the setting is very nice.

01/09/2026: A pleasant spot, even though it's close to the road. Simple but well-prepared food. Unbeatable value for money. A good stop for everyone, including hikers on the Canal du Midi.

24/07/2026: The welcome was appalling, aggressive, and hateful. Having just pitched our tent at the campsite, I was sweating and had stayed shirtless to order bread and croissants for the next morning. Thinking I'd have dinner at the restaurant that evening, I walked to the establishment, just ten meters from the campsite entrance, to look at the menu (at the entrance, without actually going in!). That's when this individual verbally assaulted me, criticizing my indecent attire and telling me that this wasn't a campsite… (and all this with extreme verbal abuse!)… absolutely avoid this place, especially for campers who are clearly not welcome in this restaurant…

05/08/2026: I have no complaints about the store itself: it's a Carrefour, you can find what you need there. However, the checkout service really needs improvement. No greeting, not a word during the entire transaction, no goodbye. The cashier spent the whole time chatting with her colleague, without paying the slightest attention to the customers. The job of a cashier also involves a minimum of interaction with customers. If there's no human contact, you might as well use the self-checkout next time. A simple hello and goodbye costs nothing and completely changes the experience.

01/08/2026: A good store where I've shopped for several years and am generally happy. My only complaint is the lack of organic products, particularly frozen fruits and vegetables, which seems essential given the warnings issued by various organizations regarding the effects of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides used in conventional agriculture on the health of consumers. Beyond organic products, the overall selection also seems to be steadily shrinking. Don't just think about profit, but also about your customers' health. Update August 1st: Four months after my initial review, the selection of organic frozen fruits and vegetables has unfortunately not expanded. For example, there are no organic onions, carrots, garlic, peppers, or mushrooms—essential products. As a long-time customer, I remember these items being available a few years ago. I would love to continue doing all my shopping with you, but since the government has decided to allow the use of pesticides banned in the rest of the EU, and being concerned about my health, I think I'll have to look for a store with a better selection of organic frozen foods, perhaps Picard, which is just a few minutes away. To end on a positive note, though: the staff are mostly friendly and helpful.
