20/02/2026: A wide selection. Delicious dishes and beautiful presentation. The portions could perhaps be improved, but we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The welcome and service were also excellent. We were even able to bring our dog. Note that the dining room is small, so reservations are recommended. A big thumbs up to the cheesecake, which was superb!

Ample parking. A most welcoming atmosphere. An excellent menu that reveals the chef's delight in creating it, punctuated by numerous, flavorful, and original touches. Unique tableware. A well-balanced wine list. Everything is locally sourced, including the decorative elements.
How lucky the residents of Amboise are to have such an establishment! But we, the locals from Fondettes, had a truly delightful time. Don't change a thing...
19/02/2026: A restaurant that warms the heart; the staff is impeccable, polite, and welcoming. You feel right at home, and the quality-to-price ratio is one of the best. A wonderful discovery.

A very warm welcome despite our late arrival. The food was delicious. A big thank you to Erwan for his hospitality and advice; we had a wonderful time.
05/03/2026: A very pleasant place, right next to the Château d'Amboise, where you can eat very well for a reasonable price (€87 for 3 people including a main course, dessert, and a small bottle of wine). The waiters are lovely. Board games are available to pass the time (but the wait time is very reasonable).

26/02/2026: Excellent experience. The welcome was perfect, very professional. The food was excellent (the turbot was amazing!) and the children's menu was great. Go without hesitation.
21/02/2026: We had a wonderful meal, with real attention paid to the presentation. The whole team is welcoming and warm; we felt right at home. All this for a reasonable price.

30/11/2025: Excellent spot at the foot of the castle. A traditional menu with a semi-gastronomic twist. A crème brûlée with black sesame and miso. Very surprising and delicious. A tasty reminder of salted caramel, don't hesitate!

01/03/2026: A friendly, lively bar, with great service, providing good wine, beer and great snacks (like dry sausage).
This is a bar that doesn't just take advantage of it's location directly opposite the Chateau, but one that works hard to please and satisfy its customers. Brilliant! Loved it!
28/02/2026: A very pleasant setting, soft retro Anglo-Saxon music, and a super welcome from the hosts. They gave us good wine recommendations to accompany the lovely charcuterie and cheese board. The charcuterie wasn't fatty, and the local products were excellent.
We had a wonderful time together.

21/02/2026: The servers were great. I'm giving it 3 stars because the website states gluten-free crepes (made with buckwheat flour). As someone with celiac disease, I asked the server again, and it turns out they're not gluten-free because the crepe maker is also used to cook crepes with wheat flour.
We came to this establishment specifically for...
Being in the restaurant industry ourselves, we found the process rather uncool!

08/03/2026: We had a truly disastrous experience... It used to be a magical place, both for its setting and its food, but now it's scandalous in every way. This was the experience shared by the people on the terrace around us. The establishment must have changed management... definitely avoid it for the time being. What a shame.

02/03/2026: Located very close to the Château, we chose this restaurant for a quiet evening and we weren't disappointed.
We had a very good meal. We ordered the duck breast and chocolate profiteroles for dessert; it was really delicious and well-prepared.
The service was friendly and welcoming. We also appreciated how quiet the restaurant was, perfect for a relaxed conversation without any background noise.
A great place to eat in Amboise. Remember to book ahead to be sure of getting a table.

18/01/2026: A lovely little tea room we discovered this Sunday after visiting Amboise Castle. Excellent gourmet tea, everything is homemade. Original and delicious teas. Friendly owners and very reasonable prices. We highly recommend it!

08/12/2025: The L’Alliance restaurant in Amboise, slightly out of the way, offers truly excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared cuisine that is definitely worth the detour. The service is adequate, if not exceptional, and the somewhat underwhelming setting doesn't quite do justice to the quality of the food. A great place to eat well, despite an atmosphere that could be improved.
22/11/2025: Excellent cuisine, with real attention paid to allergens. Quick and friendly service. The restaurant is unfortunately not very busy, but we had a very pleasant evening and our taste buds were delighted.
