13/01/2026: After being given a last-minute welcome at the 2025 Fête de la Musique, we returned and were greeted by Karen and Jonathan, who served us inventive and perfectly executed fusion cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and can't wait to go back! Congratulations, Karen and Jonathan!

30/11/2025: Excellent spot at the foot of the castle. A traditional menu with a semi-gastronomic twist. A crème brûlée with black sesame and miso. Very surprising and delicious. A tasty reminder of salted caramel, don't hesitate!

22/01/2026: We had the six-course tasting menu and found the value for money to be excellent. At first, the portions looked small and we thought it might not be enough, but we ended up feeling completely satisfied and couldn’t even make it to dessert. The wine was extraordinary, and the welcome was absolutely wonderful. We were treated like royalty from start to finish. It truly felt like a fine dining experience that made my husband’s birthday even more special and memorable. The only very small detail was the silence in the dining room, as there was no background music. A soft, light background playlist — perhaps classical or gentle music — could make the atmosphere even warmer and help break the silence a little. Aside from that, everything was very enjoyable. A delightful and refined gastronomic experience with outstanding service, excellent value for money, and a truly memorable atmosphere for a special occasion.

30/12/2025: A lovely establishment located in a pedestrian zone at the foot of the castle. A wonderful welcome and excellent service with great friendliness! A daily special featuring quality ingredients at a very affordable price. The rest of the menu is also very reasonably priced. As tourists visiting the region for a day, we stopped here by chance and I highly recommend this establishment.

30/01/2026: Perfect lunch break. The crepes and galettes are very good, the staff are very pleasant and courteous.

30/12/2025: Meh, avoid it, disappointed. Despite service being advertised until 9:30 pm, our arrival at 9 pm didn't seem to work for us. The service was rushed and impersonal; we were asked to order the sweet crepe right away. In the end, we were served before the surrounding tables that had arrived before us. The galettes were dry, barely buttered, and sparsely filled. The buckwheat crepe and kraz (a type of flatbread) tasted good. The salted caramel looked like plain caramel with a burnt aftertaste. The sweet crepe was sticky and undercooked. The cider, however, was very good. The restrooms had no hand towels and the toilet paper holder was ripped open. I don't understand the 4.4 rating. Unfortunately, I cook better.

31/01/2026: We received a very warm welcome, with a team eager to answer all our questions in detail (origin of the dishes, etc.). The dishes were delicious, well-balanced, and served in appropriate portions: a wonderful discovery that I highly recommend, and I will definitely be back.

01/01/2026: We arrived late in Amboise, it was pouring rain, and we were lucky enough to find a spot at the bar of L’Atelier. We'd read some reviews and you guys seem really great. We ordered a mixed platter, which was delicious, and tried several local wines that we really enjoyed. The place was packed, with a great atmosphere, the staff were friendly, and the playlist was fantastic. If I go back to Amboise (and I hope I do!), I'll definitely return to L’Atelier.

20/12/2025: A lovely traditional pub. A great way to get away from it all. Enjoy! The mixed cheese and meat platter is highly recommended, along with a good glass of wine.

18/01/2026: Excellent, peaceful, with only fresh, homemade products; we had a lovely afternoon tea. Really great, and the gourmet tea for €10 is something I highly recommend.

05/01/2026: The meal was delicious, but it's a shame that French law wasn't applied: "All French restaurants must offer their customers reusable or recyclable containers, whether free or for a fee, so they can take the leftovers of their meal and drinks home with them, if they wish. This measure came into effect on July 1, 2021, as part of the law to combat food waste passed in 2018."

08/12/2025: The L’Alliance restaurant in Amboise, slightly out of the way, offers truly excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared cuisine that is definitely worth the detour. The service is adequate, if not exceptional, and the somewhat underwhelming setting doesn't quite do justice to the quality of the food. A great place to eat well, despite an atmosphere that could be improved.

22/11/2025: Excellent cuisine, with real attention paid to allergens. Quick and friendly service. The restaurant is unfortunately not very busy, but we had a very pleasant evening and our taste buds were delighted.
