31/07/2026: We were very disappointed by the restaurant "Le Gabestan." The menu seemed alright, but the food itself was a different story: a small duck leg with a few fries, followed by a dessert that was finished in three bites. We felt like we'd eaten a miniature version of the meal and left still hungry. We weren't expecting a feast, but we were hoping for something a bit more generous. At that price, you'd at least expect to leave the table satisfied; instead, you leave with the frustration of having paid for a truly minuscule portion. And it took forever! Go somewhere else!

31/07/2026: We came as a family with three children. The meal was excellent! The waiter gave us great advice on our choices. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff were friendly, the location was fantastic, and we didn't have to wait long.

19/05/2026: A very warm welcome. Charming place with its retro decor. I loved it. The food was perfect. Very good breakfast. And clean!

18/05/2026: We had lunch as a family. A very warm welcome, a generous €35 set menu featuring regional cuisine. One dish was adapted to accommodate allergies. A very pleasant experience in this museum-restaurant. We will be back!

19/07/2026: We really enjoyed the food; the caramel crepe with butterscotch sauce was delicious. No complaints at all, to be honest. The price was good considering it was in such a popular spot as Mont Saint-Michel. The atmosphere changed when more people started coming into the restaurant, and the waiters were making inappropriate comments, getting stressed, or arguing amongst themselves. I think it's important to maintain composure in front of customers to project a good image.

19/07/2026: We were welcomed as a storm was raging over Mont Saint-Michel. The entire team was fantastic, finding us a table and arranging for other guests, even though we hadn't made a reservation. This was topped off with a delicious dinner and a comforting cocktail. The chef came around to all the tables after service to make sure everyone was happy. Thank you to the whole team for this chaotic yet very warm experience! A delightful holiday memory for our little family. Highly recommended!!

24/04/2026: Fantastic welcome, the owner Xavier always has a big smile! His team is incredibly attentive and very professional. Unbeatable prices, and to tell you the truth, I wasn't hungry after such a great meal! Thank you, and keep up the good cheer!

20/02/2026: What can I say? A warm welcome, smiles, and good cheer. Audrey and Charles, the staff, take excellent care of their customers. Their kindness and professionalism are evident. And the food? What can I say? Generous portions, home-style cooking that reminds us of the good old days. So delicious that returning is a must. Thank you to Chef Xavier for his talent and kindness. My partner eats there every lunchtime and never tires of it; it's contagious, and I'm a convert too. Not to mention that my picky 4-year-old son eats like a horse there. Only passing through the area for a few months, we're going to miss you terribly. Don't change a thing! You're perfect! See you very soon.

17/07/2026: I'm 35 minutes from here... Some good friends from the Dordogne told me about this place. In a word, magnificent! The owners are really friendly. At reception, a couple from Fontenouille (Burgundy region) manage all the services. For €10, you get a lovely pitch with electricity, water, and a swimming pool. Showers are €2. An idyllic setting. If you're looking for something better, look elsewhere.

29/07/2026: The two of us enjoyed a delicious meal: a small, fresh salad as a starter, roasted fresh sardines as a main course, and a homemade frozen mint terrine with dark chocolate sauce (like an After Eight, but hot and cold) for dessert, along with four coffees. Everything was delicious, served on the terrace by two friendly, efficient, and smiling young people. Highly recommended.

26/07/2026: A wonderful discovery, recommended by local friends... We ordered à la carte, with a half-bottle of Menetou-Salon red (not often found on restaurant wine lists, which mostly feature white wines) which was perfect... An experience to repeat, it's a shame we don't live closer! Keep up the good work!

19/06/2026: Our room was really nice. It would be even better if the windows were washed and if the room had air conditioning (the fan was not doing much). The emails I received prior to my arrival said call 48 hours in advance to confirm reservations and ask for a parking code if one was not received. I did not ever receive a parking code and when I called in advance, I was told I could not have the code until the day of arrival and to call back. Like others have comented it takes several attempts to actually reach someone. Multiple times while waiting I got disconnected. I decided to leave after arrival to go outside of the hotel to eat as the hotel's menu did not seem great for my family. Upon leaving the parking area, a ticket was in the machine slot that I grabbed, and the gate lifted. I did not think anything of this until I returned back from dinner and the code that was given to me earlier that day would no longer work nor did any ticket I had (at this point I had 2). Please take your ticket out of the machine as you leave to not mess up another guest (apparently I was supposed to put my own ticket in when leaving the gate - not get a new one)! I still do not know if you leave, do you need a new number to get in and if I had done it correctly, would I have been charged $12 euros just to check in the hotel, drop off my bags, and leave to eat dinner elsewhere? Regardless...this was a bad experience as when we returned NO ONE was answering our calls for over 15 minutes of trying to get into the gate. We decided to park in one of the back parking lots and we headed on foot to the hotel as it was getting dark. We kept calling while walking and before we arrived back to the hotel, someone finally answered our call and gave us a new code. There has to be a better way for this parking code system. I was a bit upset as the hotel was not busy and each time we walked past the check-in area it was empty with the hotel lady sitting at the desk. I assume anything could happen to make someone busy at any moment...but too many people have issues with this system. Make it better.

10/06/2026: Not recommended. . Aside for the amazing view it was a terrible experience. You need a code to get thru the gate which was not provided in advance and only after several phone calls were we allowed the code and access even with a prepaid reservation. The rooms are very worn and dated with stains on the carpet. The only restaurant in the hotel would not take us for dinner saying they were full. The front desk clerk said he could not provide any alternative places to eat outside the gate even though he acknowledged there were restaurants outside. He refused to provide any guidance or recommendation. One last note. I checked my spam and junk mail and the code for the gate was not there either. Stay elsewhere

13/05/2026: Homemade products, delicious family cooking, very, very good value for money.

01/05/2026: After sightseeing, we stopped at the restaurant and were the first to arrive. We were served last, and the meat we ordered was soggy, and the desserts were reserved for regulars…! If you're a tourist or just passing through, definitely avoid this place.

30/07/2026: Good ice cream, but we got ripped off by €10. It was €35 instead of €25, and at Yver it's around €28. Three people with three scoops of ice cream here costs €35, and three people with four scoops at Yver costs €28. Go to Yver, it's amazing! 🫠🫠

21/05/2026: The hotel is located right in the city center and has beautiful, clean rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is highly recommended.

19/05/2026: I came with my parents, and what a disappointment! We're used to restaurants. Far too expensive for what we got: a light kir with blackcurrant liqueur (just a small amount), and a glass of Chablis—I wish I'd seen the bottle. Overall, I was disappointed. The value for money needs improvement.

20/07/2026: Disappointing in terms of both service and portion sizes, especially considering the prices. Not recommended.
