08/12/2025: We dined twice in December at this ideally located restaurant near Goury and its hiking trails. The owner is incredibly attentive and will prepare, upon reservation, a grilled lobster, flambéed tableside and served with a beurre blanc sauce, which will leave you with an unforgettable memory. The other dishes on offer are succulent; everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. The sea bream with chorizo ​​slices is a delight, the "Normand" puff pastry is superb, and the caramel pear with a scoop of ice cream... We absolutely recommend it. The quality of the food is becoming increasingly rare. You leave satisfied and delighted, without anything feeling greasy or heavy, and the price for the quality served is very reasonable. A huge thank you again to Mr. Boulay for these wonderful moments.

09/10/2025: The establishment is admittedly a bit dated, but very clean, with a warm and attentive atmosphere. The set menu (starter, main course, dessert) is an unbeatable €25. The dishes are simple but expertly prepared with ultra-fresh ingredients. The sea bream, ham in cider sauce, and warm pear with a delicious homemade caramel sauce were simply divine. Don't hesitate to go in.

28/05/2026: It's no longer a restaurant, but just a catering service. Friendly welcome. A wide selection of simple dishes cooked with flavor. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. A complete menu at affordable prices for home or work. A caterer to recommend.

02/05/2026: What a disappointment! We had an appointment a month ago for a wedding planned for 2027. We were seen for barely 15 minutes by Ms. Harel. She simply gave us the brochure we had already seen on their website. No further information was provided about the services they could offer. They told us they would send us a quote that same afternoon. A month later, we have heard nothing, despite follow-up messages by text, email, through the Mariage.net app, and Instagram. The messages are read, but there's been no response. Honestly, if they weren't interested in the project—which I can understand given the number of guests—they should have told us right away and not left clients hanging like that.

18/05/2026: We only tried the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food quality didn't live up to the historic setting of the castle. Kindness and goodwill weren't enough. A huge disappointment. I couldn't eat the appetizer, which consisted of two shrimp with an overly strong bisque and a watery flan, but I admit the other diners enjoyed it. The main course was cod on a saffron risotto. It was edible, but the fish was overcooked and the rice too salty. The crème brûlée was decent, but the other dessert, a chocolate sponge cake with red berries, was not at all appreciated. Understandable, as it wasn't the chef's specialty, he admitted. The value for money is close to zero; around €70 with a relatively simple, pre-selected wine.

11/05/2026: A very beautiful medieval hotel with a stunning facade and a magnificent location in the castle courtyard. Unfortunately, the service is just like the castle itself: medieval! The service is minimalist... you even have to ask for toilet paper. But the worst part is the price of breakfast, which is clearly exorbitant: no choice (croissants for five days straight and nothing else), supermarket tea from E. Leclerc (I have better at home), no fruit, etc. The tablecloths aren't changed after you leave, and the next day you find the crumbs from the previous day's breakfast. To be thorough, the rooms are dated, as is the bathroom, but the bedding is comfortable and the hotel is quiet. In short, this hotel isn't something to avoid as I've read, but I advise against staying more than one night or having breakfast there. And as for the restaurant, I don't recommend it if you enjoy good food. It's not great, and the service is extremely slow even when it's not busy. And finally, I agree with the comments from other dissatisfied customers, but not with the hotel manager's responses, which are clearly disingenuous. It's a shame because there's real potential. The manager should take the feedback into account instead of accusing dissatisfied customers of lying. Personally, I wouldn't have spent so much time writing this review if all of this weren't true.

09/06/2026: I've been staying in hotels every day for nine years and I've never seen anything like it. The room wasn't clean, the walls were stained everywhere, the towel warmer was rusty, and the light fixture was hanging off the ceiling. I arrived at 6:30 PM and waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came. Even when you're first in the breakfast room, there are crumbs on the table that must have been there the day before. Paying €128 for a night's stay for this is a disgrace.

19/08/2025: Downtown Les Pieux! Quiet, a beautiful main street with shops!!! There's this church, made of stone, like almost all the churches on the Constantin Peninsula!!!

20/04/2026: A pleasant, self-service restaurant. You choose and serve yourself your starter, dessert, and drink (available by the glass in 25cl or 33cl sizes). For the main course, you are served; the portions are generous. There are always at least four different dishes. Everything is delicious, especially the bone-in ham. A restaurant with simple and delicious cuisine at reasonable prices. I recommend it; you won't be disappointed.

15/04/2026: I came last week and was very disappointed. Nothing is the same without Julien behind the bar. He was such a big part of the atmosphere and the welcoming atmosphere. We won't make the trip again until he's back.

29/05/2026: Visited for breakfast, was tasty but portions were very small. Had eggs with bacon, was a tiny amount of bacon and 3 small pieces of baguette. Had to visit a bakery afterwards.

14/05/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant in Portbail. The cuisine is creative and flavorful. The fish of the day was accompanied by a spicy sauce and creative dishes featuring seasonal vegetables. A real treat! The service is attentive and efficient.

We greeted the waiter three times, but received no response: first when we sat down, then when he tossed the menu onto the table, and finally when he came to take our order.
