08/08/2026: We discovered this restaurant at the end of our vacation. It's in the town center but not very visible, which was a lovely surprise. The food is delicious and everything is homemade. They accept holiday vouchers for up to half the bill.

The restaurant is mainly open for lunch, but it's advisable to book in advance as it's very popular, and for good reason. Excellent value for money.

04/09/2026: What a lovely discovery! The menu isn't extensive, which is great, and everything on offer is simply well-prepared. The dishes are beautifully presented, and it all smells so "homemade," just look at the mushrooms served with the salmon! We were there the day before yesterday, a party of four on the terrace, and we decided we'd be back... not to mention that the quality/price ratio is excellent!

14/09/2026: Close to being the best restaurant in western Cotentin! No reservation required, and we got a table for two with a sea view. The service was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and efficient. The cuisine was inventive and excellent, with beautifully balanced flavors. The tuiles were superb. The monkfish was perfect, and the cebecero de port was magnificent. The bill was reasonable. A minor point: the wine pairing for the starter was a little off, and perhaps the vinegar could have been caramelized with the pork. Otherwise, everything was perfect. BRAVO! It's been a long time since I've had such a delightful experience in this part of Normandy.

30/08/2026: During a week of thalassotherapy, we stayed at Le Sound restaurant on a half-board basis. The cuisine, all of it, is of an excellent standard, with a fine wine list. Nothing to complain about. The presentation of the dishes is appealing. The staff is efficient, friendly, and even, in some cases, quite charming.

03/09/2026: We went there on a Sunday afternoon and it was fantastic! It's the perfect spot for a delicious, ultra-fresh seafood platter, no fuss. Just know what you want when you arrive: expect to pay around €30 for the lobster and fries (eat in) and €20 for mussels and fries. Everything they offer is delicious, but a special mention goes to the accras (especially the curry and shrimp ones), absolutely amazing, so succulent! Just a heads-up: there's no indoor seating, you only eat outside. Go for it if you're ever in Granville!

01/09/2026: We stopped there by chance, as it was on our way, but honestly, it's worth the detour! A wonderful welcome right from the entrance, with a magnificent fireplace. Top-notch service, and a nice bonus: dogs are welcome. As for the food, only high-quality, homemade products, from appetizer to dessert. All at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it!

04/08/2026: Superb place. Exceptional view. Very pleasant staff. A few more sandwich options and it would be 5 stars. For coffee and aperitifs, this is the place to go.

03/08/2026: Frankly, I'm from the area and was just visiting family. I was very disappointed with this establishment. It was unbearably hot. I went to the bar and casually asked for a lemonade. Admittedly, I was served a lukewarm lemonade, which wasn't pleasant at all. Anyway, I moved on. I came back an hour later with my children and nephews for ice cream. I waited a long time to finally be served. The man finally arrived, and I told him I needed several ice creams. He asked me how I would pay, without even registering my order. I replied by credit card, and he said, "I'll keep you waiting, the card machine isn't working properly." Meanwhile, I saw many customers being served at the bar. I also saw their payments going through. One of the waitresses was serving ice cream, and I asked why I wasn't being served. I was told to wait again. After 20 minutes, I told the children, "Come on, let's go!" They didn't want to serve us. I've been in the business for 27 years, and I I've never seen anything like it, the way we were approached and treated. It was a blessing in disguise, because just a few steps away was the night market, a truck selling delicious homemade ice cream at much lower prices. But in any case, they'll never see us again. There were 11 of us, and they must have been annoyed to have to serve us.

11/09/2026: I visited couple times and when the waiter noticed that I am not french, she started to give different and high prices every time. And if you will visit, be ready that they will serve you very and very late, the reason is, they are too busy by talking to other people, and not for serving them, but for talking of habitual life.

11/09/2026: Incompetent staff, they treat customers like idiots, no respect whatsoever. We asked for a menu, and after waiting 10 minutes, she just stared at us through the glass, chatting with other customers at a table, her backside casually perched on a chair. It was like nothing had happened. I went over myself to get the menu to place an order, which was like going straight to the kitchen or the bar to order! And don't even get me started on the menus; the pictures on display don't match the food, just ridiculously small pieces. Go ahead and order your own glass (like a port wine) 🤮
