06/02/2026: The waitstaff is helpful and kind, which is much appreciated. However, I find it a shame to have to ask for salt and pepper at every meal (3 meals)... The food is good; you can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is elegant and colorful! I was disappointed by the "seafood sauerkraut." It wasn't generous enough for my taste—only three small pieces of fish on the plate, and very little cabbage. The sea bream and the pavlova were excellent!

25/01/2026: We found the value for money did not meet our expectations. As part of a half-board package, it would be nice to have at least one drink included. This would encourage guests to order drinks outside of mealtimes.

09/01/2026: Terrible food! Disgusting burger, soggy bun, ribeye steak full of fat, disgusting watery pepper sauce, and pale ground beef patties. I really don't recommend this brasserie. €70 for 2 adults and 1 child. If I'd known, I would have gone to McDonald's. Avoid this place! Happy New Year! 😂

20/12/2025: We often come for lunch at this friendly place with its excellent atmosphere. The owners and staff are very attentive, and the food is delicious. Don't hesitate to go; you won't be disappointed. However, be aware that the quality of the gourmet coffees might be a concern.

29/09/2024: Excellent mussels with camembert, but there are also oysters and shrimps 😉. A very beautiful place. Very friendly. I recommend.

01/10/2025: As always when we visit Notre Dame de Cenilly, we come to eat at Les Gars Melles. Good traditional cuisine and a family atmosphere, a very beautiful little village. I recommend it.

23/10/2025: Poor value for money. Classic at gourmet prices. 3 defrosted chouquettes with Camembert for 13 euros. If only they could work on the flavors... then frozen steak and fries for 21 euros. So 34 euros for a steak and fries and 3 chouquettes with Camembert... in short, there are much better options at the same price within 20 km.

11/09/2025: Cozy, with a small, very quiet outdoor space. Bar service. Access to a promenade. Only regret: in the past, the dishes came from recycling centers and were mismatched; you could buy them, it was cute.

07/09/2025: While the setting is pleasant, there are a few drawbacks: Cold welcome, average food, and, above all, sky-high prices, especially for drinks, which have to be picked up at the counter.

10/10/2025: The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, but the upkeep and maintenance and services are not up to par for the price. The bedding is good quality, but the room smelled of sweat and the bathroom smelled of sewage. Luckily, I was only staying for one night for work. Breakfast starts late, at 7:30 a.m., with frozen pastries and Super U products.

26/09/2025: Good value for money, refined and generous dishes as expected, attentive service followed by discussions with the chef, the result is that we ate well and had a good time, in short it was good

05/01/2026: Very disappointed. We came as a group of four adults and two children, arriving at 7 pm. By 8:30 pm, we had only eaten our savory crepes. We asked if we would soon receive our desserts, as we had already ordered them 15 minutes prior, and we told them we were in a hurry. The woman replied that we weren't the only ones and that there was another large table to serve before us. However, two of them were waiting for the crepes to come out, so instead of waiting, one could have taken care of the desserts. A table that arrived after us was already having tea. There's no point in filling the dining room if the service isn't up to par. In the end, we told them to forget about dessert and leave since nothing had been prepared yet. She took our payment and charged us for the desserts from the children's menu, which they hadn't eaten. The least they could have done was deduct €3 for the dessert from the children's menu, but more importantly, apologize. All we noticed was turning around to complain to the cook and talking behind our backs. We go there every year and have never had any problems. But this time we were very disappointed.

29/12/2025: A truly special place! At the bar, the men gather over a beer, the owner keeps a watchful eye on everyone, and greets them with a warm smile. The decor is colorful and vibrant, with great attention to detail. The service is warm and friendly, and our rather limited French was met with helpful English. The food was fantastic! Fresh, delicious, and homemade. Our dog was also welcome. We will definitely be back!

21/11/2025: Avoid this place. A very unpleasant experience, the owner made inappropriate remarks, the service was already overwhelmed after just two customers, the dishes were dirty, and the mussel pot was rusty. Truly disappointing.

There was a cocoa stain on the floor when we arrived, which wasn't cleaned during our 3-day stay. There were also mold stains on the ceiling, which we reported upon arrival, but nothing was done. And to top it all off, breakfast costs €19...
