12/09/2026: We thought we'd discover a charming little inn for a romantic dinner, but the experience quickly turned into a kitchen nightmare! The dining room was empty except for one other couple, but we were still asked if we had a reservation. The owner seemed to be enjoying his aperitif and reeked of alcohol when we arrived, and the cook was wearing a particularly dirty apron from the very start of service. We ordered two aperitifs: an Aperol Spritz that tasted more like a cheap supermarket cocktail, and a completely flat glass of champagne. As for the main courses, we waited 20 minutes for a lamb shank that arrived completely dry, and a ribeye steak ordered medium that arrived totally burnt, accompanied by potatoes that looked more like a compacted gratin. So I sent my ribeye back... The second one was dry on one side, medium on the other, and swimming in oil! Now we understand the state of the chef's apron! The result: my white t-shirt is stained with grease. A bill for 71 euros, without coffee or dessert, and without the slightest gesture of goodwill from the manager. A disgrace to the profession!

30/08/2026: Thank you, Eric, for this wonderful time! A hearty meal and delicious traditional dishes. I recommend everyone go; this type of restaurant is becoming rare. We'll be back!

07/08/2026: As a former resident, the ANTS (National Agency for Secure Documents) sent my vehicle registration document to my residence, despite my calling reception to ask them to hold my mail and tell them I would come and collect it urgently. They still returned the mail to the post office, and my registration document is now nowhere to be found. I called every day for a week, and each time they told me nothing had arrived... blatant bad faith.

23/05/2026: Some residents think that throwing their rubbish out of their windows, from their balconies, is normal... cigarette butts in quantity, sometimes leftover food.

29/08/2026: There isn't as much choice as we used to have at Flunch restaurants.

26/08/2026: Tonight (August 25th) I went to Flunch in Thionville with my family. It was a real disappointment. The kitchen staff were as cold as the mussels and breaded fish. The mussels were small, dry, and I won't even mention the cleanliness: soggy, wet, and dirty plates, etc. A very bad experience; I won't be going back.

24/08/2026: Catastrophic experience at Flunch A 40-minute wait for a simple medium-rare hamburger! It's simply unacceptable. The cook takes about fifteen orders, becomes completely overwhelmed, loses track of everything, ends up throwing it all away, and leaves his station. Unheard of! Meanwhile, the customers wait, and no one seems to be taking charge. And when the food finally arrives, it's COLD! No vegetables on the side, even though they were supposed to be. A 40-minute wait for a cold and incomplete plate is shameful. And as if that weren't enough, the dining room is extremely noisy, making the experience even more unpleasant. I can understand that it might be busy, but this is a completely deplorable operation: endless wait, outdated kitchen, cold food, missing sides, and an extremely noisy atmosphere. Quite frankly, for an establishment like Flunch, this is far from acceptable. Such a bad experience makes me absolutely not want to return.

24/08/2026: The cook was unpleasant to a customer and left the service shouting, "That's normal!" Not a single manager showed up. Frankly disappointing for a Flunch; avoid it!

02/09/2026: My first review was deleted. Only on Google. So I'll refrain from using more descriptive language for the waiter. We'll simply refer to him as "the waiter." Sitting peacefully enjoying an aperitif with my family before dinner, we witnessed a truly shocking scene. A homeless person, who simply asked for a cigarette, was violently pushed away by a waiter. Repeatedly shouting "Get out!", the "waiter" stood in front of the homeless man, making it clear that if he wanted a fight, no problem, he was a "waiter." The defenseless homeless man left. My 16-year-old son went to comfort him. After profuse thanks, the homeless man continued on his way. We will never return to the terrace of this "bar," undoubtedly a hangout for "waiters," who might greet each other in a rather peculiar manner.

30/08/2026: We were sitting on the terrace enjoying a family aperitif. A man, apparently homeless, asked a customer for a cigarette, which the customer gave him with a smile. This man went to another table, and before he could speak, a waiter violently shoved him without a word, clearly intent on forcing him to leave the terrace. No one deserves such treatment. This waiter displayed undisguised pride. Finishing my drink quickly, I went to inform the waitress of this unacceptable behavior and that we would never return to this inhumane establishment. Is a lack of empathy and compassion a hiring criterion?

28/06/2026: I had breakfast there; the prices are a bit high. The pain au chocolat and the café crème were good but standard. The waitress was rather unpleasant, barely responding to us. However, the terrace is lovely in the summer.

08/04/2026: Very disappointing experience. One of the waitresses spoke aggressively to my son, even raising her voice at him for simply calling his sister. What was completely unacceptable was her telling him she would “slap” him if he entered the kitchen. We understand boundaries, but this kind of behavior towards a child is not appropriate. Staff should communicate respectfully, especially with families.

18/04/2026: First visit to this bar, threatened by a visibly drunk customer whom I never saw, the owner, although friendly, preferred to ask me to leave rather than to deal with this DANGEROUS person!

30/07/2026: You have to be lucky. I wasn't lucky with the vanilla cream and tagliatelle.

17/07/2026: Very disappointed: €28 for a mediocre daily special (veal escalope with cream sauce) in a setting that hasn't changed in decades... A light salad as a starter... Dessert: two scoops of ice cream (no vanilla available)... I won't be going back, especially since just half an hour away in Saverne, I was served a gourmet set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) in a magnificent setting for €27, with a choice of three different courses...

28/06/2026: I regularly buy pastries, no complaints there, but your sandwiches are lacking in filling. The Mauricette sandwich with mortadella, which cost over 5 euros, was very dry, with almost nothing inside; I couldn't even finish it. Quite disappointed, it's a shame I didn't take a picture of the inside. That's not true, it didn't have everything you describe. Be honest, you couldn't even taste the mortadella. But if you say that's not true, I'm not going to argue with you.

15/06/2026: Lots of chocolate before Easter... Pastries and bread, good but nothing special

29/11/2025: We were so looking forward to visiting this unique place; we'd only heard good things. So we took the trouble to book six days in advance, and what a surprise it was when, on that fateful Saturday evening, the day of our reservation, we found the doors locked. There was no note of apology on the door and no phone call to inform customers of the reservation (because, as professionals, we record the customer's phone number when taking the order). So we drove 70km for nothing. Thanks a lot, Jeep, we won't be back.

06/11/2025: We've been here several times and are always warmly welcomed and well served, especially by the hostess who is very pleasant and offers great advice. The menu is varied, blending traditional and exotic cuisine in a very pleasant jungle/lounge atmosphere. A sure bet when you want to relax in peace and treat yourself, even if it means having a proper communion meal ;)

08/03/2026: I got sick after eating the meat and waiting 35 minutes for my main course. At the end, we were told we couldn't pay by card. In short, I won't be going back.

01/03/2026: What a disaster! It started right from the beginning… we ordered Moselle wine from the menu as an aperitif, and the waitress arrived with a Côtes de Gascogne, saying she was substituting it because they didn't have any Moselle wine. We refused and ordered another wine, despite her surprise… The scallop and morel risotto was on the menu. We ordered the dish. The waitress told us there wouldn't be scallops and morels with it, but prawns, because they couldn't afford to buy scallops and morels… An hour and a half later, the dish arrived, and we were told it was taking a long time because we hadn't ordered a starter… The dish was good, but nothing special. The service was catastrophic; the waitress didn't understand any of our requests. When it came time for dessert, we decided to refuse and give up. Oh well, so much for dessert. Why does the chef employ such unqualified staff in the dining room? And what about the dining room… the tables are chipped, the baseboards are falling off… And the final nail in the coffin… “Our card machine isn’t working, you have to pay in cash.” I won’t even mention that the cashier didn’t know how to do the bill and, more importantly, was just guessing at the prices. She didn’t have any change, she was just bartering. It was like something out of a comedy sketch 😂 and the other customers felt the same way.

17/08/2026: I ordered a small coffee and was served a large one; it was really bad, I don't recommend it.

15/08/2026: I bought two baguettes for €1.10 each, making it €2.20 for both. When I cut them, there were more crumbs on the table than bread. The baguette was disgustingly dry; it tasted like bread that had been reheated and defrosted the day before. Avoid this bakery if you're passing by. Go to Anges et Délice instead; it's a bit more expensive but much better, both for bread and pastries.

08/08/2026: Good bakery, pastry shop, and chocolatier...very good bread and croissants...very good gluten-free bread... The owners could be a bit more friendly...

08/08/2026: I came to buy a baguette (a good one, by the way!) yesterday. I was greeted with a half-hearted "hello"... I asked for a second piece of paper to cover my baguette because I was going to the pool, and the waitress told me she'd charge me for it. What I thought was a joke turned out to be true when the bill arrived!!! 20 cents for a bag... seriously... I understand the reputation of this bakery in Thionville!!!
