07/08/2026: There are restaurants where you eat very well. Michelin-starred restaurants where the technique is impeccable and the ingredients exceptional. But here, we're in another league. I've been fortunate enough to travel extensively and discover restaurants all over the world. Gastronomy is a true passion of mine. And precisely because of this, with time, it becomes increasingly difficult to be truly surprised. I discovered this restaurant about ten years ago, and since then, I've returned regularly. Each visit brings the same conclusion: the chef leaves absolutely nothing to chance. Each dish tells a story. The flavors are conceived with incredible precision, the textures complement each other perfectly, the presentation is elegant without ever being excessive, and above all, there's always that "wow" factor. Not the kind that relies on artifice, but the kind that stems from genuine creativity and a constant pursuit of excellence. You can tell that here, it's not simply about cooking. It's about creating, constantly questioning oneself, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Behind every dish, you can feel the passion, the hard work, and the constant desire to surprise. After ten years, while so many restaurants eventually become predictable, this one continues to amaze me. And that's probably the greatest compliment you can pay a chef. For me, it's not just one of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of discovering. It's an experience I look forward to with the same anticipation every time I visit.

04/08/2026: After ten years of trying to get a table at Toya during my visits to my parents' house, I finally had the chance to dine there on July 23rd. The wait was more than worth it! From the moment I arrived, everything was in place for a truly wonderful experience. The welcome was warm, the service highly professional, yet friendly, attentive, and discreet. The tableware, glassware, and overall presentation were exquisite and contributed significantly to the enjoyment of the meal. The cuisine was remarkable, with elegant presentation, perfectly balanced flavors, and a genuine sensory experience. In my opinion, this restaurant richly deserves its Michelin star. My only comment was that the dining room was very noisy. The restaurant was full despite having very few tables. Better soundproofing would make a real difference. As I left, I thought it was incredible that I had found such a gem just five kilometers from my parents' house and hadn't managed to go there sooner. Better late than never! A wonderful discovery that I recommend without hesitation.

21/07/2026: Beautiful, quiet space with plenty of room between the tables and comfortable chairs. Two very friendly hostesses who also speak English. The food, including the amuse-bouches, was very tasty. The children didn't like dishes such as duck breast and pigeon, but fortunately they had an alternative (chicken with vegetables and fries). Nice wines. Highly recommended!

10/08/2026: My first dining spot in Metz! I went there based on an AI recommendation, and it was a place that served authentic French course meals. Except for me, everyone else was a local. Just as I had heard about French people, they lingered at their tables for a very long time, chatting, eating, and enjoying dessert and coffee. It looked so cool that I tried to imitate them. The server was incredibly kind, and perhaps because the other guests were curious about an Asian woman dining alone, they looked at me with warmth, smiled, and took care of me, making for a very pleasant dining experience. Everyone working there smiled whenever we made eye contact and was so friendly. Needless to say, the food was excellent. Everything—from the dishes and desserts to the final espresso—was perfect! It is a bit pricey, but I thought it was reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber. It was a warm restaurant that created a wonderful time for me. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic French cuisine.

09/08/2026: We had lunch here today as a couple for the first time, and it was fabulous in every way! We ordered the daily special (the trio of lobster, prawns, and scallops) with vegetables and roast potatoes, and it was delicious. For dessert, the gourmet coffee was excellent. We didn't order a starter, and we're glad we did because the portions were very generous! The menu is small, which is a sign of quality and expertise in the dishes. The staff is really friendly, and the restaurant is tastefully decorated. The proximity to the Coislin parking lot is a real plus! We will definitely be back.

18/05/2026: Ditch your usual pizzerias and head straight to this one. The pizzas are incredible, so delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I've been going there for years, and the people who run this pizzeria are attentive; they're people you can chat with, have a good laugh with, so just go to this pizzeria! PS: The twin with the killer gaze 😊

06/06/2026: Help, the service! The service was incredibly pushy... she spoke loudly and was insistent. We said we didn't want dessert, and she replied, "Well, I don't care, I'm paid to give you the menu and tell you about today's desserts." Then she shoved the dessert menu in front of us, recited all the desserts, and said she'd be back in two minutes to take our order. In short, we wanted a quiet lunch break, but that was a disaster. Not only did we not get dessert, but we didn't even get coffee as we'd wanted because the waitress was so annoying!

22/08/2026: A real success! The food is delicious, just like at Grandma's: generous, comforting, and full of flavor. The waiters and waitresses are super friendly, always full of little touches that make all the difference. A must-visit—we'll gladly return!

22/08/2026: La Popote has practically become my go-to spot in Metz! The food is generous and delicious, the atmosphere warm, and the staff always welcoming and attentive. It's a truly authentic place, one I love to return to regularly. As a producer from Domaine des Varieux, I've also had the pleasure of delivering my salads to them. I'm particularly happy to see a Metz restaurant supporting local producers and showcasing fresh, locally grown produce. A wonderful place, as enjoyable for its staff as it is for its food, which I recommend without hesitation!

26/07/2026: It was a real pleasure to return to La Petite Auberge after a few months' absence! A regular customer for several years, I'm never disappointed. The setting is magnificent, and the welcome is always so warm and attentive. As for the food, it's excellent: flavorful cuisine showcasing local produce, with a menu that changes monthly according to the seasons. A must-visit in Sarreguemines!

19/07/2026: I received a gift certificate from friends for a cooking class at the Chefs Academy, and frankly, I wasn't disappointed. A very warm welcome, a bright and well-organized kitchen. The class was really enjoyable and in a great atmosphere, led by the chef and his assistant. The chef gave us tips and tricks for beginners like us. I'm really looking forward to attending another session. This time, we made pâté Lorrain, a pure delight. Long live the Chefs Academy!
