05/08/2026: The setting is magnificent, undeniably so, but unfortunately the service was subpar! We arrived about ten minutes before our reservation time for two people and asked for a table by the water. A table for four was available, but the waitress told us it wasn't possible and that we should have arrived earlier to have any hope of getting a good table. Fine, we accepted being seated in the middle of the terrace. The most frustrating part was that, fifteen minutes later, a couple arrived. The same waitress separated the very table for four we had requested to seat them… by the water. It's hard not to feel that the treatment depends on who you are! As for the food, I ordered a glass of wine as an aperitif. The glass was very thick, and the dishes weren't clean, which is unacceptable in an establishment of this caliber. The wait was then interminable. The service was far too slow, and after waiting much too long, we finally decided to leave before dessert. On the other hand, the waiter who looked after us was very pleasant, smiling, and professional. That was the only real positive point of this lunch. In the end, despite the exceptional setting, this experience left a bitter taste. We won't be back.

26/08/2026: A must-visit. When you step through the door, you enter a small room with armchairs and a library. Go down the stairs that lead to the restaurant entrance. You'll receive a warm welcome and be shown to your table. The place is magical; the vaulted ceilings above transport you to another era. The menu is beautiful, and the food is delicious. The staff takes excellent care of you. So yes, the price is high, but it reflects the quality of the food: generous and delicious dishes from appetizer to dessert. Honestly, I highly recommend it. Reservations are recommended.

24/08/2026: As usual, we found the dishes to be generous and excellent. However, I don't understand why my choice of vegetables to accompany my scallops was refused. Having undergone stomach surgery, I can't eat what I want, so I asked for mashed potatoes (which were among the suggested side dishes), and I was told it wasn't possible with this dish. So I was given zucchini, which I couldn't eat...what a shame.

A lovely place, extremely kind and welcoming staff, delicious and refined dishes at an affordable price considering the quality of the ingredients and the generous portions 🫶. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting the Château de Chantilly, for example 🤩

It's an address well worth the detour in the Compiègne area for lovers of stone and well-being in a warm, family-friendly setting. A warm welcome, both in the ambiance and on the faces of the staff, awaited us at the entrance. Impeccable service and a delicious meal were served with joy and happiness, featuring a tempting menu. We had a wonderful evening in the company of the owners and staff who, through their experience, offered us a magnificent moment of escape from daily worries, a pause in time in this restaurant that allowed us to relive moments with family, often forgotten by our loved ones. Thank you, a huge thank you, and congratulations! I highly recommend it.

This review refers to a summer visit, but the interior dining room makes you want to return to enjoy the charm of dinner by the fireplace and its elegant ambiance this winter. So, we'll be back, and I look forward to another review that will surely be just as positive.
