27/09/2024: We arrived at 9:40 p.m., there weren't many people anymore but we were still put next to the toilets, nice noise and the smell of hand gel. The menus given with traces of really disgusting food should be considered. The dishes arrived relatively quickly, we had flams, the goat's cheese was good but the salmon did not correspond to the description "cubes of roasted salmon" and we had very dry salmon crumbs for 15 euros. But we finish well the purple ice cream is good.

29/08/2024: Le Chalet du Lac is set up primarily for dining, but there is a comfortable outdoor seating area set aside for people who simply want a beer or two. It’s situated on the lakeside garden of an old villa and is perfectly charming. The location, service and beers were spot on. Another nice place to drink in this beautiful village.

17/08/2024: Table too small for 5, rosé wine not fresh. Asked to eat outside because it was too hot inside, we were told that all the tables were taken even though many were free. Very poor performance. I do not recommend!

14/12/2024: Very pleasant and charming place, the cuisine is average (quality of dishes and taste) good service. Responsible... can do better. I won't go anymore.

08/12/2024: Very pleasant surprise when discovering this restaurant. Exceptional setting Very warm welcome, accommodating staff when we asked to change places. Thank you for the surprise for my mother's 90th birthday by putting her some music, accompanied by her dessert with an artificial candle and putting the room in the dark. Accompanied by customers who got involved in the game and applauded this event This is a very good memory for my mother. THANKS Be careful when going down the steps to access the restaurant :)

23/09/2024: Significant improvement in service this year with very pleasant staff, whether at reception or in the restaurant. This must be emphasized because this has not always been the case! After our disappointment last year in terms of the rooms (mouldy mattresses, smell of humidity, cold, smell of cigarettes...and never received a response following our complaint), this time, nothing to say. We were lucky, the neighbors were non-smokers... because we must admit that it's a big problem when you can't open your balcony because of the cigarette smoke coming into the room...! This being in a wooded location it would be better to favor dedicated spaces rather than letting people smoke on the terraces of the rooms.

26/01/2025: This unmissable place in Compiègne deserves a good 5 star level Service and Ambiance (dedication to Isabelle) nice eh the Guinness in 50. LoL...The cuisine I don't know yet haven't had the opportunity to taste it to see why not.

20/01/2025: I had a veggie burger... No other vegetarian options. Gross I couldn't finish it! Industrial made with meat flavor substitutes.... The burger bun is not good. The dessert on the other hand, crème brûlée, is delicious. The correct service and the smiling lady. My friend had a fish which he enjoyed. I won't come back, I like to have a choice like offering an omelette for example and not frozen!

14/06/2025: A delightful location, attentive service, refined and gourmet cuisine, one of our favorite restaurants in the Compiègne region. Bravo to the chef and the entire team, and thank you for all the delicious moments and memories spent in this beautiful establishment, including a marriage proposal! We always return with the same pleasure!

22/09/2024: Wedding meal with brunch very well organized. Very friendly service. The cuisine is of a high standard in terms of presentation and quality of the dishes. Bravo to the super friendly chef and his brigade. Address to remember.

07/12/2025: The room was magnificent, the bedding very comfortable, we booked a suite. However, upon arriving at reception, the receptionist couldn't find our booking options and told us to sort it out ourselves. Fortunately, her manager arrived and resolved the issue; thank you to him. Nevertheless, a stay costing over €900 for one night, to be treated like this, a €50 buffet dinner, a tasteless breakfast, an overcrowded pool, no towels available… and to top it all off, a wedding in the hotel with loud music all night long that made the walls of the room shake. We had stayed and dined by candlelight at the Château de Montvillargene about ten years ago; it was magnificent. Today we've just returned from Center Parcs, where we paid four times the price of a mobile home but received the same level of service.

07/12/2025: We celebrated my birthday on December 5, 2025, and my husband's on December 7, 2025. We loved everything from the location to the food! I recommend this romantic, beautiful, and cozy place. There's a spa, a pool, and a huge area around the castle where you can stroll.

13/11/2025: Too long a wait, not professional enough, no attention to the customer, too long to get the meal

12/11/2025: Very pleasant welcome and friendly waitress, nice setting but the menu is not very varied, the taste of some dishes not great, disappointment for the main course (despite good fries) and the dessert.
