03/09/2026: 250g ribeye steak for €26 is a huge rip-off… my partner had a hamburger, the steak was the same size… disgusting cocktail even though I order the same one in every restaurant, cold fries and sauce from a packet, no thanks… I'm giving an overall rating of 2 because the atmosphere was good, I think it's a shame that the food in the kitchen is of poor quality and that we had to wait so long even though we were among the first to arrive.

23/04/2026: A great restaurant on paper, and the food is also very good. The only downside, and it's a significant one, is the impossibility of knowing when the restaurant is actually open or not. It depends on the owner's mood! This could be understandable, but arriving with a reservation only to find the doors closed without any prior notice is beyond unacceptable. It's a shame because the owner is very friendly, but there are definitely things that need to be reviewed in their operations. I used to come occasionally, but I won't be going back.

13/05/2026: Good location, allowing you to visit Perpignan on foot. The hotel parking is secure but open-air – unfortunately for me, it rained and was sandy… –, very nice lobby and friendly welcome, but my room wasn't ready when I arrived, and it turned out to be quite worn. There was a lingering smell in the bathroom (thank goodness for the two doors that at least saved my sleep), tiny window, overall I felt cramped and not at all comfortable: it needs a renovation in my opinion. Breakfast included a disappointing orange juice, and they didn't have the famous Ibis Styles madeleines, at least not on the day of my stay.

26/02/2026: Hotel near the train station! Very nice! Clean and quiet! Welcoming staff! Very good breakfast (review posted in April 2025). We booked a 2-night stay on February 4, 2026 (stay from February 24 to 26). Three days before our arrival, the receptionist called to tell us that the hotel couldn't accommodate us because they were undergoing renovations... they wanted to relocate us to an Ibis Budget... logically, they were obligated to relocate us to an equivalent or superior hotel. That wasn't the case! The receptionist told us she would try to find another hotel... The day before our departure, a hotel in Perpignan called us to say they had a price quote... I didn't even want to hear about it. And thank goodness, because we stayed in a much nicer hotel.

14/03/2026: A filthy, very old, and awful mess. The headboard is covered in dust, the bathroom tiles are dirty, the nightstands are faded and disgusting, the wardrobe is pathetic, and there's nothing in the bathroom.

13/05/2026: I wasn't very impressed with this restaurant. The terrace was pleasant, but the dish wasn't cooked as ordered (much more rare than medium-rare). The prices were a bit high (except for the daily special). They forgot our aperitif and served our main course immediately.

09/09/2026: I'd like to make a small remark to the waiter who was vehemently criticizing customers yesterday for drinking a beer in the morning! It was 9:00 AM! I used to come in for a half-pint (sometimes even at 8:30 AM...) and that's MY prerogative. I won't do it again until Christophe is back.

17/08/2026: We went to this place for dinner (late and without a reservation – our mistake) because I had very fond memories of it as a child. We were served by a woman with tattoos and lip piercings. She was one of the most unpleasant and rude people we've ever encountered. I understand that one is tired after a long day at work, but I believe that people should be treated with respect and not spoken to with contempt, especially when we had only asked if there was room for two. I'm giving the restaurant a 1 not for the food, but for the service. This kind of behavior is unacceptable.

30/04/2026: I would recommend this hotel more for a stopover than for a longer stay. The hotel is located in an industrial area. The rooms are very small and the bathroom is tiny.

02/09/2026: A peaceful, very pleasant, and welcoming stay. I was delighted with the magnificent setting and the excellent meals. We had some truly wonderful moments of relaxation and conversation – I'd love to do it again. My advice: go and visit – you won't be disappointed.

24/08/2026: So, what can I say about Le Mât des Olivettes? After an unusual arrival via the little path, it was magnificent. Georges, our host, is exceptionally kind, very welcoming, accommodating, and always available. The location and the gîte are perfect: peaceful and very pleasant to stay in. We ate excellent, hearty, varied, and very appetizing meals prepared by our chef, Georges. It's a very family-friendly gîte with charming staff—Charlotte, Amandine, and Sylvie—who are always attentive to their guests. We had so many laughs there and made some wonderful new friends. So don't hesitate to unpack your bags at Le Mât des Olivettes; you won't regret it.

06/07/2026: We booked Hotel Aquarius at short notice and were really glad we did. This isn’t a fancy luxury hotel, and it doesn’t try to be. It’s a genuine, family-run place that offers everything you need at a great price. We stayed as a family of four in a spacious room with bunk beds and good air conditioning. The pool is great, with a mix of sun and shade throughout the day, and there’s a great pool bar. Breakfast is included, and it’s nice to have the option of full or half board. The buffet lunch is popular with locals, and there are some excellent dinner options. The staff were kind, accommodating and very helpful throughout our stay. They even lent us beach towels when we arrived without any, which was much appreciated. Parking was easy too, with reserved spaces available. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The décor is a little dated, but to us that was part of its charm. If you’re looking for a relaxed, family-friendly hotel with a pool, restaurant, bar, family rooms and outstanding value for money, Hotel Aquarius is a great choice.

28/05/2026: The room's terrace was filthy, full of trash and debris, including a latex glove and pieces of metal (??). We were refused entry to the restaurant due to "laziness." The room was very uncomfortable. The hotel is very outdated and desperately needs renovations. The staff was unfriendly. The parking lot was cramped with few spaces. Breakfast was extremely basic. The pool was inaccessible. The room and terrace were soulless and lacked any decoration.
