15/12/2025: Comptoir Cité enjoys an ideal location just steps from the Cité Internationale, making it convenient for lunch during a conference. The portions are decent, but the pulled pork in the Texas burger was a bit dry and harder to chew than one would expect from pulled pork. A practical choice, but with room for improvement in this regard.

24/10/2025: A very nice place, the staff are very welcoming and the dishes are generous. Try the Braille table in the evening.

19/05/2026: Lyon's oldest café, very pretty, lovely terrace, inexpensive, charming young owner. Superbly located just steps from the Saône River on the beautiful Rue Sainte-Hélène.

13/06/2026: We came as part of the "your guest is mine" promotion. We ate well, and when we asked for a little more gratin, it was gladly provided. The service was impeccable.

Completely understaffed, one overwhelmed waiter for the entire dining room. The kitchen is taking it easy meanwhile. Way too hot inside. The food was okay, nothing special. 13/09/2025: Unfortunately, Contre-Champ is not what it used to be. The chef has changed, and the experience is nothing like what you’ll see on Google or in older reviews. The food was disappointing, far below expectations, and the overall quality has dropped dramatically. To make matters worse, the poor waiter had to manage 11 tables completely on his own — service was understandably slow and chaotic, and it was painful to watch him struggle. What used to be a great place has become a real letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

10/08/2026: An interminable wait. 30 minutes to take our order, 20 minutes to get our drinks (no food or cocktails). Furthermore, there weren't many customers to serve the evening we went; the servers were clearly overwhelmed. May I suggest you rename your establishment "Plan D"?

13/07/2026: Lunch at noon on July 13th. The food was good and plentiful. The service was excellent. The young waiter (with shoulder-length hair and a beard) was attentive and friendly. Thank you to him. I will gladly return.

05/08/2026: Fantastic find! The staff were so friendly and welcoming; we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The rib steaks were excellent, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. A truly great place; we'll definitely be back!

01/04/2026: I went there while the hotel was being renovated, and honestly, it would be a real shame to miss out if you're in the area. I had the set menu (main course, dessert, coffee), less than 20 euros for a generous portion served without rice or pasta. I eat at many hotel restaurants like this one, and I found it to be a cut above the rest, much better quality. The dessert was fresh and also very generous (pineapple carpaccio). The atmosphere was a bit cold in a sparsely decorated dining room, but the hotel is undergoing renovations, so please bear with me. The service was excellent, friendly, and efficient. The menu is very short, as the restaurant focuses on daily specials. I can only hope it's just as good every time. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to spot.

31/01/2026: A restaurant we love to visit for lunch, not only for a break from work but especially for the warm welcome, the relaxing atmosphere, their daily specials—always delicious, (very) generous portions, made with seasonal, market-fresh ingredients—all at an excellent price (daily special, dessert, and coffee for €15.90). Located within the hotel, the restaurant is lovely, bathed in natural light from the veranda. A special mention goes to the team: Manon (with her smile and sense of humor), Anaïs (friendly and discreet), and the Head Chef, whose mastery of cooking both meat and fish we serve deserves a special mention, as does the generous portion size. This place has become our go-to spot, and we're not exactly picky eaters (Manon can attest to that) ;))

18/05/2026: Don't go there for the food; it's far too expensive for what it is. It's not that it's bad, but it's absolutely not worth the price. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere are excellent.

23/06/2026: The ambiance here is a solid 5/5, it’s a gorgeous spot and a wonderful place to just sit and relax inside the Museum of Arts of Lyon. That being said, the service is on yourself. My overall 4-star rating is strictly for the beautiful environment. Great place for the views, just keep your expectations very low for the quality of a coffee and the dégustation.
