20/06/2026: We came here for a meal because it wasn't far from our accommodation and there were quite a few people on the terrace. However, we were somewhat disappointed. The portions were on the small side for the price and lacked any particular flavor. The service was a bit stiff and not very friendly. The location is very good, though, and it was pleasant on the terrace.

03/05/2026: Excellent restaurant. Quality dishes, fast service, attentive staff… in short, nothing to complain about. We will definitely be back.

25/09/2026: (Note: this review concerns the lunch menu only) La Maison aims to be a restaurant of a certain standard and succeeds admirably in terms of food quality and decor. However, such a restaurant should be able to offer at least one option suitable for its clientele: refusing to serve a vegetarian dish is unworthy of such an establishment. No attempt was made to accommodate this, even though a small effort would have sufficed. It seems imperative to adapt to current trends and, of course, to the customers (who in this case simply requested a plate without meat or fish, without any particular expectations...).

22/09/2026: The food is simple but good, although we were disappointed that the dishes arrived lukewarm. The setting, however, is very pretty and pleasant. On the other hand, we were very disappointed with the welcome and the general nonchalance of the staff. Given the prices charged, one would expect a higher standard of service, which was unfortunately not the case.

16/09/2026: A wonderful experience! The sous-chef was in charge; he's very inventive. We stayed for four days and enjoyed a wide variety of meals each day, always delicious and creative, with unique flavors (corn soup, salmon with Granny Smith apples, etc.). Furthermore, the staff is very friendly and the value for money is unbeatable!

28/04/2026: The reservation text message sets the tone 😳 Personally, I go to restaurants to relax, not to put pressure on myself as soon as the reservation is confirmed. So I preferred to cancel my reservation and not try this restaurant.

22/05/2026: Honestly, an unacceptable experience! We had reserved an outdoor table for eight people, and even received confirmation from them on Instagram. Yet, upon arrival, we were calmly informed that the reservation wasn't valid because we hadn't "confirmed"... even though we had already received positive feedback from them. The result: no table, no organization, and above all, no solution offered. Not even an effort to try and accommodate us, even though we were a group of eight. We were simply shown the door without any consideration. Nonexistent service, disastrous management, and a serious lack of professionalism. Avoid at all costs!

01/06/2026: ⭐ Overall rating: 7.5/10 A great find! This African restaurant in Lyon was a wonderful discovery. I had a lovely time and, most importantly, a delicious meal. The portions were generous, flavorful, and carefully prepared. Special mention goes to the chicken: perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and, most importantly, not dry, which is often a weak point in this type of dish. The side dishes were also excellent, with well-balanced flavors. A minor drawback was the sweet potato fries, which were unavailable during my visit. Apparently, they had been out of stock for several days. This is a bit of a shame, as they are often a popular side dish, and sweet potatoes are generally quite easy to find. As for the ambiance, the terrace is perfect for enjoying the nice weather, which is very pleasant. However, it has limited seating and opens directly onto the street. Inside, the space is adequate, but it was quite warm during my visit, with noticeable cooking smells. Air conditioning or better ventilation would significantly improve customer comfort. The service also deserves a mention. The woman single-handedly manages the kitchen, reception, service, and payments. Despite this heavy workload, she remains cheerful and does her best to satisfy customers. This can sometimes lead to a slight wait, but it's understandable. My ratings: * Reception: 8/10 * Food: 8/10 * Value for money: 8/10 * Cleanliness: 7/10 * Atmosphere and comfort: 7/10 In short, this is a place worth discovering for the quality of its cuisine and its authentic flavors. A few improvements to the comfort and some organizational details would elevate it to the next level, but overall, the experience remains positive. I will gladly return to try other dishes. 30/05/2026: We just left this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly cooked, and the service was quick. For dessert, we had degué… It was also very good! Honestly, a great place, we'll definitely be back next time we're in Lyon. Thank you for everything! ☺️🙏

The crepes were good; the vegetarian option was generous, especially with the artichokes (artichokes?), too bad it's not my favorite vegetable and it wasn't listed on the menu. Oops! With a little cider, it went down well! Warm and friendly service! I'll be back when I return from Serbia <3
