13/09/2025: Unfortunately, Contre-Champ is not what it used to be. The chef has changed, and the experience is nothing like what you’ll see on Google or in older reviews. The food was disappointing, far below expectations, and the overall quality has dropped dramatically. To make matters worse, the poor waiter had to manage 11 tables completely on his own — service was understandably slow and chaotic, and it was painful to watch him struggle. What used to be a great place has become a real letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

Completely understaffed, one overwhelmed waiter for the entire dining room. The kitchen is taking it easy meanwhile. Way too hot inside. The food was okay, nothing special. We just wanted to leave...

23/06/2026: The ambiance here is a solid 5/5, it’s a gorgeous spot and a wonderful place to just sit and relax inside the Museum of Arts of Lyon. That being said, the service is on yourself. My overall 4-star rating is strictly for the beautiful environment. Great place for the views, just keep your expectations very low for the quality of a coffee and the dégustation.

13/05/2026: Nice bar and cool staff, but calling a 46cl glass a "pint" is misleading when most people expect 50cl despite the quantity displayed in the corner. Classic Nonic glasses hold around 57cl precisely to allow for 50cl plus a beer. Here, with a total of 46cl, you're definitely getting a much smaller glass, yet the prices are quite similar to those in the neighborhood.

14/09/2026: A fantastic spot! 🍸 The cocktails are truly excellent, as are the antipasti, perfect for enjoying the evening. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and a special mention goes to the bartender Ticiano who is simply incredible: professional 🫶🏼, friendly, and genuinely attentive to his customers. I highly recommend this place, and I'll definitely be back!

01/06/2026: ⭐ Overall rating: 7.5/10 A great find! This African restaurant in Lyon was a wonderful discovery. I had a lovely time and, most importantly, a delicious meal. The portions were generous, flavorful, and carefully prepared. Special mention goes to the chicken: perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and, most importantly, not dry, which is often a weak point in this type of dish. The side dishes were also excellent, with well-balanced flavors. A minor drawback was the sweet potato fries, which were unavailable during my visit. Apparently, they had been out of stock for several days. This is a bit of a shame, as they are often a popular side dish, and sweet potatoes are generally quite easy to find. As for the ambiance, the terrace is perfect for enjoying the nice weather, which is very pleasant. However, it has limited seating and opens directly onto the street. Inside, the space is adequate, but it was quite warm during my visit, with noticeable cooking smells. Air conditioning or better ventilation would significantly improve customer comfort. The service also deserves a mention. The woman single-handedly manages the kitchen, reception, service, and payments. Despite this heavy workload, she remains cheerful and does her best to satisfy customers. This can sometimes lead to a slight wait, but it's understandable. My ratings: * Reception: 8/10 * Food: 8/10 * Value for money: 8/10 * Cleanliness: 7/10 * Atmosphere and comfort: 7/10 In short, this is a place worth discovering for the quality of its cuisine and its authentic flavors. 30/05/2026: We just left this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly cooked, and the service was quick. For dessert, we had degué… It was also very good! Honestly, a great place, we'll definitely be back next time we're in Lyon. Thank you for everything! ☺️🙏

16/08/2026: A really cool spot for its warehouse vibe, but very poorly managed and understaffed (for example, last night they organized a party with hundreds of people and they have a beach bar with only five beer taps, resulting in endless queues: it takes over 30 minutes to order a drink). In addition to the bar, the food ordering system is a nightmare (ordering at an online kiosk, no cash payment: a never-ending hassle). It'll be better with the next owner, but for now, it's pure amateurism!
