24/03/2026: We visited as a group of five and arrived fairly early without a reservation. Luckily, we were able to get a table—but it’s clear that booking ahead is usually necessary, given how popular the place is. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a charming vintage style. The crackling fireplace creates a warm, cozy atmosphere that really enhances the dining experience. The service was impeccable throughout—attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had during our entire stay. We ordered the red wine fondue and the pierre chaude (hot stone), both served with a side of gratin. The gratin, in particular, was exceptional—easily the best we’ve ever tasted. The wine fondue was equally delicious and full of flavor. If there’s one small point for improvement, it would be the tenderness of the meat, which could have been just slightly better. With that one adjustment, the experience would be truly Michelin-star worthy. As we left, there was already a line forming outside, which says everything about how good this restaurant is. Highly recommended!

22/03/2026: A mountain restaurant with quality ingredients, where the generous cuisine will delight your taste buds. The staff were very accommodating, welcoming us at 2 pm without any problem. We left completely satisfied. Be aware of the price, though: expect to pay around €50 per person. We shared a starter, a main course, and a dessert.

28/02/2026: There were seven of us at the table. Three of us ordered mussels and fries, one with Roquefort cheese which was good, but the other two ordered marinière. Don't even bother ordering the mussels; they were swimming in water with parsley and garlic, tasteless, and not good at all. We pointed it out, but no one reacted. Very disappointed, and on top of that, no one offered any compensation.

28/02/2026: We were passing through Porte-de-Savoie and ate at Le Gabelous. What a pleasant surprise! We ordered pizzas and thoroughly enjoyed them; they were absolutely delicious. The ingredients are high quality and the flavors are spot on. A big thank you to our very pleasant and smiling waitress, as well as to the equally welcoming manager. We highly recommend it and will gladly return! 🍕😊

26/02/2026: Incredible singers and very friendly waiters. It's a shame the same can't be said for the supposed owner (who didn't introduce herself) who asked us to leave before we'd even finished our drinks because, and I quote, "we pay the musicians, you have to order." I should mention that there were five of us and we all ordered drinks. Really unpleasant, it ruined our experience.

26/02/2026: Tonight, at the live music with a fabulous singing duo, we had a fantastic dance atmosphere! It's a shame that a woman who didn't introduce herself (I assume the manager) came and asked us to leave if we didn't "buy a drink," claiming she was "paying the musicians," even though we had all ordered drinks and two of us hadn't even finished them...

04/03/2026: ​Great food and experience. The raclette was served with delicious sides, and the burgers were absolutely excellent with very creative combinations. The staff was helpful and assisted us in making the right choices. We highly recommend this place.

27/02/2026: Great lunch for 8 people! The burgers are delicious! The homemade fries are fantastic! The kids' menu with several choices is a nice touch and a welcome change from nuggets and fries. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Very friendly service

26/03/2026: Just popped in for a coffee, friendly welcome, but the opening hours are the opening hours. While we were drinking, they came by three or four times to tell us they were about to close. They were about to close. The whole resort is like that. It was only 5 PM. So, I only stopped there once. No desire to go back.

25/03/2026: Here for mid- morning and lunch. It's busy but justifiably given how good the food is. Our a la carte lunch service team were fantastic.

22/11/2025: Friday evenings feature prawns and frog legs served with a seasonal salad and rice cooked in vegetable broth. Served in a beautiful cast-iron casserole dish, it stays piping hot until it's empty 😉. The parsley-based seasoning is excellent. I give a lot of credit to the restaurant for its upkeep and the excellent service provided by just two people. Well done!
