18/12/2025: A very good establishment with a pleasant atmosphere. However, I was a little disappointed by the prices, which seem to vary depending on the customer: for 5 Jägermeisters on the first round, I paid €32.50, then €50 on the second. This lack of consistency isn't very fair to customers, which is a shame because the place and the atmosphere are really nice.

24/10/2025: A friend and I decided to spend a week in Les Chapieux exploring the valleys and discovering the local flora and fauna. It wasn't until the third night that we decided to dine at the Auberge de La Nova. As soon as we sat down, the La Nova burger caught our eye on the menu, and we didn't even have to speak before the owner immediately guessed what we wanted! He said, "You'll see, it's amazing." Well, he wasn't lying. From the first bite, my friend and I looked at each other and it was indeed amazing! It was so good that we decided to come back every night of the week, and that's exactly what we did! The burgers are incredible. We also tried a few desserts, including the Pavlova and the chocolate fondant, which were also truly to die for. The welcome was super warm: the waiters, the cooks, the owner, and his wife were all lovely and friendly. It was heartbreaking to have to leave on the last day... but one thing is certain: we'll be back! And this time, we'll go every night of our stay to enjoy La Nova's delicious burger :) Thank you so much 🙏 Les Petits Suisses 🐍

27/09/2025: Basic auberge in Les Chapieux. It is probably the main option on this part of the TMB with the next hut “Refuge des Mottets” a good distance away. Big campsite in front of the auberge - campers welcome to utilise the facilities in the hut so get your showers in early. Dorms were a little crammed and beds very squeaky. Dinner was good and really hearty - Chicken Velasquez, rice, and a delicious soup. Breakfast might as well have not been served it was so pathetic. Packed lunch was good though.

25/01/2026: The restaurant has an authentic decor, but I wouldn't recommend it for the food. I ordered a croziflette, but they replaced the Reblochon cheese with grated cheese (probably Emmental), which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Especially since the menu clearly stated it was made with Reblochon. I had a similar experience the previous year with a tartiflette that was undercooked and extremely runny, but apparently it was better this year.

19/01/2026: Delicious mountain cuisine. With quality ingredients, a warm atmosphere, and a professional and very friendly welcome.

06/02/2026: We wanted to order at the bar, but were told that orders were taken at the table. No one came to see us. We went back, they took our order, but nothing arrived. A waiter finally came, we explained the situation, he said he would check with his colleagues, but still nothing. After 40 minutes, a waitress came to ask us to leave because it was no longer time to order drinks, telling us we should have spoken up. No apology, no smile.

06/02/2026: Fantastic mountain restaurant in La Rosière! The service is impeccable, the food delicious, and the owner, Sandrine, is lovely and very attentive to her customers. For hikers, it's possible to walk there if you're up for a bit of a climb. We've been going every year for several years and are always delighted.

26/01/2026: We came for lunch, ordered at noon, and the pizza arrived at 2 pm. The only gesture of goodwill was a shot of genepi (a local liqueur) even though we don't drink alcohol. No apology, no discount on the bill, despite wasting two hours in this restaurant, especially considering the ski pass costs €70 per day. A terrible experience. One star because zero isn't an option.

26/01/2026: Be warned, if you're in a hurry, the service is far from the fastest I've ever seen! On the contrary, I've never experienced anything like it—almost a two-hour wait for a hot meal and two pizzas… You know the price of a ski pass in Val Thorens; it's unacceptable to waste two hours in a restaurant like this when we're paying over €80 for a ski pass… I don't recommend this restaurant.

28/01/2026: The restaurant is very pleasant in its layout, and the chef's cuisine is worth discovering, living up to the descriptions of the dishes we chose. The service, provided by a team of two (waiter and owner), is very attentive. This is a restaurant to try again next time the menu is released.

28/12/2025: I've been passing by for years, it was about time I stopped in. A very pretty restaurant, a super friendly atmosphere with a lovely view of the lake, especially with the midday sun. The dining room is very clean. The staff is very helpful, professional, and classy. It's always nice to arrive and be offered a place to hang your jacket! A slightly more upscale restaurant than your average one. I really appreciated the complimentary appetizers, as well as the choice of bread. The menu doesn't offer burgers, but rather original dishes like wild duck or oysters. The yuzu butter was incredible. Flavors you won't find anywhere else. In terms of price, you should know what you're getting into to avoid surprises, but it's still reasonable considering the quality of the service. I recommend it for a family weekend. They also offer a children's and teens' menu!

18/09/2025: Logis Hôtel du Crêt Rond – Review 🚴‍♂️ Location: Fantastically situated between the legendary Col du Galibier and the Col du Télégraphe – a perfect starting point for ambitious road cyclists and mountain lovers. Directly on the Route des Grandes Alpes, quiet and close to nature. 🍳 Breakfast & Restaurant: The breakfast is plentiful, fresh, and flavorful – ideal for a pre-tour refueling. The hotel's own restaurant impresses with excellent cuisine and regional quality. A real treat after a long day in the saddle. 😊 Service & Hospitality: The friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy. Additional requests, such as an extra blanket, were met promptly and easily – you feel welcome and well looked after here. 🛏️ Rooms: The rooms are rather small and rustically furnished, but very clean and well-maintained. Those who appreciate cozy and authentic surroundings will feel at home. The wood paneling gives the hotel an alpine charm. ✅ Conclusion: A family-run hotel with an excellent location for active athletes and nature lovers. Friendly service, excellent food, and an atmosphere that invites you to return. A real insider tip for road cyclists.

16/09/2025: Very quiet, clean, comfortable. The food is of good quality and the breakfast offers a very varied buffet. Very well located for those who want to hike and especially go around Mount Thabor. Highly recommended!!!

16/11/2025: Extremely disappointing experience. I was a guest and didn't comment so as not to embarrass my host, but: Overpriced wines: €8.50 for a fruity Italian wine by the glass with no appellation, and over €40 for a bottle of basic Gamay. Regarding the vegetarian dish, "you have to trust the chef." This was translated 15 minutes before service, and he didn't know what he was going to send. I ended up with a slice of roasted squash, a side dish, for a menu costing over €38. The desserts were advertised as homemade, but they probably weren't; otherwise, how could a chocolate fondant arrive cold? Not to mention the dog in the kitchen entrance... Truly far from the hygiene standards of the industry. Despite the good intentions of the staff, it just wasn't good enough. Nothing lived up to the prices, despite the promising setting... It's time to rethink your positioning or change chefs.

22/12/2025: I came for dinner one evening during the week, my first time at this restaurant. The waitress was incredibly friendly. I chose the ribeye steak and it was delicious! I'll definitely be back to try the tartiflette! Quite a few plates went by and they all looked very tempting. See you soon! 😊
