LE TROLL GOURMAND
Saint-Francois-Longchamp
13/02/2026: Very disappointing, the owner is frankly unpleasant, fortunately redeemed by very friendly staff.
10/02/2026: Discovered La Potence last week. Excellent service, the quality of the food was top-notch, and the chef and owner were very attentive and welcoming. No complaints whatsoever. The owner manages her dining room with a firm hand... some very noisy and disruptive customers were asked to be considerate of the other patrons. Thank you to them. I'll definitely be back next year!

Le Chalet du Moulin
Saint-Sorlin-D'Arves
21/08/2025: A magical place!
We had an extraordinary time at this restaurant.
Traditionally colored meals, local products... Very affordable prices, and a complimentary génépi before our departure 👍
Amazing waitress 🙂
We arrived early! It was as if we had privatized the restaurant! Thank you for this moment, and see you next year! 😊
19/08/2025: We had a great time at the Moulin Chalet, a friendly welcome and a very good meal! We will be back with great pleasure!

La Laiterie
Saint-Martin-De-Belleville
11/02/2026: We have stayed at this hotel several times with our two daughters and we are always just as satisfied! Each time, everything is perfect: the welcome, the cleanliness, the comfort of the rooms, and the quality of the service. We feel right at home, which is truly wonderful.
A huge thank you and special praise to Kamel and Serge, who are absolutely fantastic. Always smiling, professional, attentive, and responsive, they really make all the difference. Their kindness and availability make each stay even more enjoyable.
It is largely thanks to them that we return with such pleasure. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back!
10/02/2026: A truly fantastic hotel right on the slopes.
The hotel's decor is modern and welcoming, done with great taste.
We tried the shuttle to the center. It was incredibly convenient.
The room was very spacious with a magnificent view of the slopes. It was also well soundproofed. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom was large. It's a shame the heating couldn't be adjusted, as it got very hot at night.
All the staff were very friendly, smiling, kind, helpful, and attentive.
Regarding the three restaurants:
At La Laiterie, they could perhaps offer more typical Savoyard dishes to provide a wider selection, but we enjoyed the very generous portion of the meal.
At Altayaki, we were disappointed with the meal. However, we did discover several different sakes.
Casa Alta: a very good restaurant.
We ate very well; the dishes were delicious and plentiful.
The snack bar: we tried it once and were really disappointed. Even though it's just a snack, the taste wasn't up to par considering the price.
The bar: the cocktails were very good, but we felt they were missing more classic cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. As for the price, I'm sorry, but €23 for a cocktail and €15 for a non-alcoholic one is outrageously expensive. On our last night, I ordered the cocktail of the day, which had more ice than cocktail... I took one sip and that was it.
Breakfast: very good, a wide selection with fresh products.
The spa: a large pool extending outdoors, but unfortunately the cover for the outdoor area is always down (almost at the water's edge, or even lower). We were told this is normal to prevent cold air from getting in and that we have to walk underneath... but if you don't want to get your hair wet, you end up not being able to enjoy the outdoor space. As for the jacuzzi, they should find a way to prevent everyone staying at the hotel from using it. Many people just hang around without paying attention to what's going on around them.
The ski shop: really great! Large, heated, and secure lockers for each room. We rented our child's skis there, and they weren't any more expensive than elsewhere.
In short, we had a very good stay despite a few negative points, but that won't stop us from coming back.

Les Marquises
Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise
24/04/2025: Amazing restaurant in the most fabulous setting. The views are incredible and the food was even better.
We ate there twice in the week we were in Sainte Foy and the food was tremendous both times. Excellent, friendly service and the atmosphere was great.
I would recommend eating here. I will be back!
11/04/2025: Superb. super for a half time break.

Le Vieux Chalet
Saint-Martin-De-Belleville
30/01/2026: A beautiful chalet where we had a wonderful meal.
If you're looking for peace and quiet and good food, this is the place.
18/01/2026: The food was high quality, the porcini mushroom fondue, the charcuterie platter, and the desserts were all satisfying. I had also ordered two bottles of wine (Montagny 1er cru 2022 and Gevrey-Chambertin 2020) and, on my own initiative, asked for potatoes in addition to the bread. The bill revealed a €6 surcharge. I expressed my surprise, especially since I was enjoying wines of a higher quality and leaving a €10 tip. The owner, who was serving, simply cited "cash register procedure." I find this attitude petty and unprofessional. It's a shame, because this kind of detail spoils what could have been a very good experience.

Refuge Auberge du Col de L'Arpettaz
Ugine
08/07/2025: Seen a magnificent magical place, small road not easy to climb there but the reward once at the top
23/06/2025: The lodge is 5 stars. Top-notch service, a place with all the comforts we needed, accessible by car and in an idyllic corner of the Alps. I recommend it to everyone and will definitely return.

L'etable du Dahut
Saint-Francois-Longchamp
07/09/2025: Ambiance, smiles, and taste are all there, and the kitchen even accommodates special dietary requests. A place where they have a sense of service and share a passion for food and hospitality! A big thank you to the entire team!
22/08/2025: The problem isn't the quality of the food, but the prices, which are a bit too high. Not to mention that the menu has been significantly reduced and there's no longer a lunchtime menu.

Au Resto
Valloire
24/01/2026: There were three of us, and we arrived at 1:15 pm on the day of the snow sculpture competition. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed a delicious meal: Savoyard pasta with a Reblochon cheese sauce. The setting is magnificent. I highly recommend the ice cream dessert called "The Squirrel"—the ice cream is excellent—as well as the "Colonel" dessert. We'll be back in the summer for our next motorcycle trip.
14/01/2026: Without a doubt one of the best fondues in Valloire, morel mushroom fondue, I recommend it.

24/01/2026: We had a wonderful dinner, thanks in particular to the warmth and enthusiasm of Florian and Mallaurie who looked after us from the moment we arrived until we left the restaurant. The dishes we enjoyed were truly delicious.
14/01/2026: We had a wonderful time enjoying the regional raclette. The team is fantastic in a friendly atmosphere!

Le Régal Savoyard
Saint-Sorlin-D'Arves
09/02/2026: The wait at lunchtime was very long. The dish of the day (Shepherd's Pie) was really nothing special. What a shame.
17/01/2026: A lovely, family-run mountain restaurant!
The staff is very attentive.
Heavy regional dishes. The only slight downside was that the croziflette was a little bland. Reservations are recommended.

Le Cap Horn
Saint-Bon-Tarentaise
14/02/2026: A fun piste side Apres spot right by the main run back into 1850 👌🏼 we only did drinks, and arrived about 2:30 for the kick off of the ‘party’ and when the DJ gets going. It’s not as lively as Follie, is more focused on the table service and there is little standing / bar space. This isn’t a spot for dancing on the tables and letting loose, but it’s still fun, with some entertainment and activations running, but no shows like Follie. Think of Cap Horn as Follies, cooler, more relaxed, older sister for the Courchevel crowds
11/02/2026: The food was great, especially the steak
Thanks
