14/03/2026: We spent a week of our vacation in Valmeinier 1800 and couldn't find a restaurant that served Savoyard escalope. That's why we ended up at Le Brezain. I booked two days in advance for seven people without any problem, as the next day was already fully booked (which is always a good sign). We arrived a little early because we had underestimated the time it would take to get down from 1800; the bus is slower than the car. We were let in, but with the explanation that service hadn't started yet and we would have to wait, which is perfectly understandable, but it was said rather curtly. We had to apologize several times because I was so uncomfortable. The waitress was very kind; she seated us quickly, handed out menus, and inquired about how we planned to get back to the station since there were no buses. She was very helpful and politely explained that we would have to wait. When it came time to choose our meals, there was another small problem. My two children wanted to eat the grilled meat like grown-ups, but the portions were too large for them (300g of meat per person), and the children's menu (which is standard) only offered minced steaks/nuggets. So we decided to buy an adult meal for both of them. We didn't hesitate too much, since it cost more than the two children's menus combined, meaning no "loss" for the restaurant and the children enjoyed eating with us. But to our surprise, the owner categorically refused, saying that the number of dishes ordered had to correspond to the number of children. We tried to explain, but it was no use; we had to order an extra dish. Finally, we decided (with the wise advice of our waitress, thank you again) to share the pizza, which calmed things down, but I was surprised by such a lack of understanding and flexibility. We tried to ask what the daily special was, but again, I felt like I was bothering her, and there was no answer. Anyway, moving on. We still had a very pleasant evening; everything was delicious. The Savoyard escalope melted in our mouths, the meat was truly exquisite, and even the extra pizza was something we were very happy to share. It was really well made, just perfect. Thank you to the chef. In short, if you want to eat well, don't hesitate; a good meal is guaranteed. From a management perspective… I understand some of the difficulties and constraints you face, and you can certainly establish rules to be followed; that's perfectly understandable. Sometimes customers cross the line, and you have to stand firm on the decisions made, okay, but all of this should be done in a more friendly, kinder tone. All in all, we ate well, but there was a bit of frustration at the beginning.

11/03/2026: I'm a regular lunch customer, and this restaurant is truly fantastic!! The menus are very varied and well-balanced, the prices are very reasonable, and the welcome is genuinely warm!! I highly recommend it!!

08/03/2026: Large terrace with mountain views. Wooden table for dining or sun loungers for sunbathing. Restaurant and bar service. We were able to picnic at an outdoor table and enjoy drinks at the bar. Indoor dining is also available, nice and warm! The restaurant is directly accessible from the slopes, at the foot of the Grande Motte cable car!

06/03/2026: The cafeteria staff are very friendly. The fries and green beans were excellent. The view is beautiful. The setting is perfect for a break before heading back out to ski.

27/02/2026: By booking in advance, I was able to try the fondue and raclette, and both were excellent! The cheese wasn't heavy, and the charcuterie was flavorful. The desserts were varied, with many ice cream flavors and a homemade crème brûlée that was definitely worth trying. The staff always made sure you had everything you needed. It's a truly wonderful family-run establishment!

07/03/2026: You're always guaranteed a good time: homemade food, freshly made crepes and waffles, friendly and smiling service. Homemade food that really comes through: carrot risotto, pork stew with mustard – in short, it's delicious! Lunch menu at €20, excellent children's menu…

05/03/2026: Traditional French raclette with Morbier cheese… very delicious, nice team, attentive and friendly! I can highly recommend it!

14/02/2026: A very warm welcome, both from the fireplace and Karine's kindness. The food was excellent, homemade! Special mention for the lasagna and tiramisu which we loved (especially Gaspard 🙂).

18/11/2025: Karine's place is really great... the restaurant is a bit secluded on this main street, where other businesses have closed over time. Don't miss it! The dining room is welcoming, with a wood-burning stove that warms the place and creates a cozy atmosphere. They offer a single dish, homemade fries, and homemade dessert. Perfect... the price is reasonable for the area. We'll be back, thank you Karine! Everything is delicious and the service is quick.

06/03/2026: Cozy place with very nice service and tasty pizzas. We ordered three different ones for takeaway and all ware prepped on time and tasted delicious. Highly recommended place if you look for decent food and climate. Cheers to the owner!

23/03/2026: A no-nonsense mountain restaurant, just the way we like them. Self-service, simple and efficient. Honest dishes that do the trick after a climb. But the real luxury here lies elsewhere. A south-facing terrace, abundant sunshine, a view that makes you forget everything else. A break that ticks all the boxes.

18/03/2026: One of the best mountain restaurants in Courchevel. We love coming here every year. The setting is magnificent, the service attentive, and the menu varied. Not to mention the fabulous dessert buffet. The festive atmosphere and live music from Dominos make the experience even better!

28/02/2026: A wonderful discovery at Le Chamarel in Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The manager's welcome was truly impeccable: smiling, attentive, and very professional. We chose the Savoyard specialties, including the "Le Chamarel" fondue. A real treat! Very generous and perfectly prepared, served with a lovely charcuterie platter, salad, and potatoes. The desserts were simply exquisite and provided a perfect ending to the meal. A warm and authentic place that I highly recommend!
