23/03/2026: We chose Dame Cakes as our caterer for our wedding (about twenty people) and we weren't disappointed. They gave us excellent guidance on the quantities, which were perfect. The preparations, both savory and sweet, were delicious. We received nothing but compliments from our guests, adults and children alike, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They're all eager to discover the tea room now. 😉🥰

16/03/2026: Charming setting, genuine personality, a wide selection of cakes, each more tempting than the last, efficient staff... My only regret is the limited number of vegetarian options available for lunch. The apple puff pastry is light; a more substantial vegetarian dish would be welcome.

23/03/2026: I went there for dinner with my wife and her father. I ordered the lamb shank (€28) because it's my favorite meat when it's cooked properly. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed because the piece of meat looked beautiful, but it wasn't cooked correctly. It easily deserved two more hours... The meat was still stuck to the bone. It also had a very strong flavor (much more so than a well-braised lamb shank). So yes, very disappointed... The wine list was very good; the Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois at €39 a bottle was excellent. 👌 The cheeses were very mature... (perhaps even a little too much?). We also battled a swarm of midges (and unfortunately, this was also the case on our last visit). The waitress offered us homemade limoncello, which was very kind, but it didn't make up for our overall experience, unfortunately. 🙏

17/02/2026: Excellent value for money for this 2-star hotel, which is easily comparable to a 3-star. Large rooms and bathrooms, good breakfast served in a spacious room. It's also located in a quiet area, just a short walk from the center of Forges. I highly recommend it.
