07/06/2026: On May 31st, we celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary with our children, grandchildren, and a few friends. The welcome was very warm, the menu was entirely homemade, generous, and of high quality. The chef was excellent, the service impeccable, and the manager was attentive to her customers. We will be back. Highly recommended.

16/01/2026: A small establishment with a limited menu featuring fresh, homemade dishes. Traditional cuisine and fish, depending on the season's catch. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish, and I loved the serving hatch, just like in the movie "La Grande Vadrouille" 🤣. The dining room isn't large, so it's very intimate, but it's not recommended for very active children. An address to remember, especially since it's listed in the 2026 Petit Futé guide.

16/07/2026: I had come several times with friends, and it was always very good. I had often recommended it. I think there's been a change of ownership. Disappointment: the mussels marinière were swimming in a greasy, brown sauce. The waiter told me, "That's normal, we use snail butter!" No, it didn't even taste like that! I left many mussels, unopened, in the pot. The others were very small and, more importantly, shriveled up; if I ate a quarter of the contents, that was the absolute maximum. As a result, we left without ordering dessert, and we won't be back! I won't be recommending it anymore! What a shame!

04/08/2026: I am very disappointed with my experience at La Frite d’Or. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was mediocre at best. The table we were offered wasn't suitable, so we asked if it would be possible to have another one. The person at the counter clearly showed that this bothered her and told us we would have to wait 5 to 10 minutes for another table to be cleaned, which seemed excessive to us. The only positive point was the waitress, who was pleasant and smiling. However, the rest of the service was disastrous. The drinks arrived quickly, but our main courses were mistakenly served to another table. The waiter realized his mistake, as he kept checking on our table, but he never came to apologize. The result: an additional, completely avoidable wait. When it came time to pay, we had to ask for a discount ourselves. Nothing was offered to us spontaneously, even though a service error and a significant wait would have more than justified a minimum of consideration. In the end, only the Coca-Cola was offered to us. A gesture that seemed very inadequate given the inconvenience we experienced. The worst happened when it came time to pay. I was with my boyfriend, who is of foreign origin. The person who served us spoke to him very rudely, implying that he didn't understand anything, even though my boyfriend was simply asking to pay €35 and that the rest would be paid by my parents. This attitude made us deeply uncomfortable, and we experienced it as a form of discrimination. My father then intervened to ask for a little more courtesy. In response, he received a disrespectful reply. When my father reminded him that respect exists, the employee responded in a truly unpleasant tone, completely inappropriate and unacceptable in a restaurant. The owner was present during this exchange and did absolutely nothing to intervene, which is even more regrettable. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. Between the reception, the service errors, the lack of apology, the paltry gesture of goodwill, the disrespectful behavior, and the remarks made at the till, this experience was deplorable. The Golden Fry? For us, it's more like the Aluminum Fry.

03/08/2026: Absolutely delicious, as always, and it's always packed. You have to book in advance because there are never any seats available. The prices are reasonable. I go every year and I'm never disappointed.

06/08/2026: An amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was beautifully prepared. The service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The breathtaking view of the famous cliffs and the sunset made the evening truly unforgettable. Highly recommended if you're looking for great food in a spectacular setting!

06/08/2026: Terribly disappointed! The service was catastrophic, so slow. Although the staff were extremely friendly, they were all over the place. We saw at least five different people upstairs, some clearly on duty, others who could have seen the light as they walked by... in denim jackets, tank tops, and sneakers. 🤷 The excuse of "we're short-staffed" is clearly unacceptable given the other reviews. We weren't just having bad luck. The restaurant was full; if they're short-staffed, then they should stop letting people in. It's not the customer's responsibility to compensate for the establishment's lack of organization with their time. Reservation for 7 pm. 50 minutes to get three cold appetizers: oysters, shrimp, and lobster rillettes... Did they even go fishing for the shrimp? Definitely not the oysters, judging by the night I had afterwards 🤢 We finished our meal at 8:55 pm, without dessert because after two hours of waiting, it was just too much. The meal was "okay," apart from the oysters apparently, and the bill was quite steep, completely out of line with the expected quality and service. The only positive points were the beautiful view from the dining room and the friendliness of the two servers we dealt with directly.

19/07/2026: A superb experience at II Roméo à la Plage! 🌟 A warm welcome and impeccable service. The waitress was smiling, attentive, caring, and truly looked after us throughout the meal. The service was quick, without compromising on quality. The dishes were excellent: a delicious pizza, a flavorful shrimp and parsley appetizer, and simply divine crepes for dessert. Everything was delicious from start to finish! I recommend this establishment 200% and will gladly return. Kudos to the entire team for your professionalism and kindness!
