06/04/2026: A must-visit in Mazamet! Le Grand Balcon is simply a wonderful discovery. The welcome is impeccable: a warm, smiling, and genuinely kind team, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, it's flawless. The dishes are flavorful, beautifully presented, and prepared with great care. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the effort behind each plate. Perfect for both a special occasion and a simple moment of pleasure, especially with prices that remain very reasonable for the level of quality offered. A truly wonderful experience that I wholeheartedly recommend—I'll be back very soon!

02/08/2026: We ate at this restaurant during the Medieval Festival in Monestiés. For the occasion, they had a special menu (with two choices of starter, two choices of main course, and two desserts). Despite the wait (understandable given the circumstances), we left delighted… everything was excellent! The servers were busy, but they kept smiling and always had a kind word to make us wait. I'll gladly go back! 🤩

14/07/2026: The food is very good and the staff is super friendly. We've been there several times and have never been disappointed! Thank you to the whole team for their warm welcome and good humor! A small update on July 14, 2026, because I like to mention both the good and the bad... Tonight, we were told there would be a wait, and I have no problem with that. However, having to ask three times for the sauce on my daughter's flank steak, which is listed on the menu, not having bread with my roasted Camembert despite multiple requests (even though it's also listed on the menu), and having vinaigrette in my salad when I asked for it without, and when I pointed it out, they told me they didn't have time to change it. All this without any compensation at the register. In short, while it used to be one of my favorite restaurants, tonight was a terrible experience...

22/02/2026: I'd been told it was a restaurant with excellent food. I went with my family and it was a wonderful experience. The owner gave us a warm welcome. The dining room has a charming, authentic feel. We had regular customers, and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed that we could easily chat with them. The meal was reasonably priced and featured regional products. We will definitely be back!

15/04/2026: I rarely use Google to leave reviews, but La Verrerie restaurant never disappoints me, whether for personal or business meals. It's always excellent value for money, in a superb setting right in the city center. I always go there with complete confidence because their vegetarian dishes are fantastic, thank you!

09/04/2026: We had a lovely stay here while searching for our wedding venue. The setting is truly beautiful – the views over the verrerie are stunning, and the grounds are peaceful and spacious. The outdoor areas are a real highlight, with a large pool, gazebo, and unique bamboo trees that add a special charm to the property. We also had dinner on-site, which was excellent. The chef adapts the menu seasonally, and the food felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The dining space is lovely, especially the outdoor terrace. Breakfast was equally enjoyable, with a generous buffet and a great mix of options, including hot items like freshly cooked eggs. There are 14 bedrooms on site, which are simple but comfortable and perfectly adequate for a short stay. That said, the rooms would really benefit from some updating and attention to detail. For example, many rooms have a shower separated only by a curtain rather than a proper door, and ours could have used a bit of paint touch-up and a deeper clean. Overall, it’s a beautiful venue with a lot of potential. With some refurbishment and modernisation of the rooms, it would be truly exceptional.
