07/09/2025: Everything was perfect! The setting is wonderful, the decor beautiful, and the hosts were kind and gracious. We had a wonderful time; everything was delicious and rich in flavor. We highly recommend it and can't wait to come back!

10/08/2024: Super petit coin avec des plats cuisinés maison. Un accueil souriant. Le tout dans le magnifique village de Bonnieux. J’adore!

16/07/2024: We had lunch here on a Thursday. There's terrace seating and more seating inside in a very attractive dining room with golden stone walls. We chose to sit inside. The ordering system at this restaurant is unique and very efficient. There's a large easy-to-read wall menu. Once you decide, you walk to the counter to place your order. English is spoken if needed. When your order is ready, it's brought to your table. After we finished, we cleared our own table and took the trays back to the counter where you pay (clearing your own table is not required). This sounds cafeteria-like, but actually this is a very nice restaurant with an upscale feel. We noticed that this system allowed a single server to cover all the tables inside and outside without running around like crazy. It also eliminated waiting time to get the menu and then waiting again for the server to come and take your order. Our big salads were delicious. Prices were also very good. We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and can definitely recommend it.

12/07/2024: It's always a pleasure to go for a drink and eat a little fish n' chips. The team is always very welcoming and the beer is always cold, a pub, a real... Long life to gourmet mousse.

18/08/2024: As one of our favourite movies is "A Good Year" which some scenes were filmed here we really wanted to visit. We ordered our food and paid via the QR code on the table. Having waited for 45 minutes we asked one of the waiters when we can expect our food, he went away & came back with a handful of tickets asking us which one was our order, we advised him (even though the table number was on the ticket and our electronic receipt). He then advised us that the food would be with us shortly and it was although it was very poor indeed, they couldn't even manage to get the chips right as they were overcooked and hard. We were very disappointed and would not return. The movie quoted "McDonalds Avignon, Fish & Chips Marseille allez" Think this would have been a better option :(

17/08/2024: Carte très limitée. A l'image des portions proposées. Pas de menu enfant. Un vrai piège à touristes. On commande par internet. Pratique mais pas très humain. Très déçu. Pourtant le cadre est di beau et la terrasse très sympa.

16/09/2024: Having stayed and eaten at The Feniere for 6 times in previous years when Reine Samuut was the proprietor, we always used this hotel to stay at when we were travelling through the South it was our banker knowing we would be happy there and get good Service. We hadn’t booked as we found ourselves in the area we were lucky (so we thought )there was a room available for 2 nights. The room was very sparsely furnished no headboard, Tv , no Fridge paintwork marked, bathroom curtain over the bath for the shower, paint coming off the tiles on the vanity unit. We ate in the Restaurant completely dissatisfied a choice of 2 starter, 2 mains which one was fish, 2 desserts. All courses were tasteless. We are not Vegetarian or vegan we are happy to eat vegetarian if there is taste we like good food but felt that the plot has been lost here. In all style over substance The Sommelier was dressed in what I would garden in ! a sloppy jumper! The music in the background was very dreary it was very badly lit no lights to show off the lovely grounds with the olive trees, as they always used to be. The reception staff were very accommodating , So no we will not return to our once favourite hotel restaurant .

29/08/2024: Une expérience scandaleusement prétentieuse, agrémentée d’une nourriture insipide, inintéressante qui se résume essentiellement à des pois chiches sous toutes ses formes (y compris saupoudrés de sucre glace en dessert) et de quelques feuilles microscopiques de shiso glanées dans le jardin et nappées de mayonnaise végétale au beurre d’amandes. Précisons que le menu ‘mer’ comprend 1 huître bouillie, 3 moules et un morceau de rascasse brûlée mais crue servie avec ses écailles, le tout facturé 900€ pour 4 avec les boissons. Nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à résister au fou rire lors de la succession des plats aussi mauvais les uns que les autres, accompagnés de descriptifs édifiants concernant la vision de la cheffe sur le pois chiches comme futur de l’alimentation (dire que je croyais que c’étaient les insectes, l’avenir!). Le pompon était la ‘mise en bouche’: le tofu de pois chiches saupoudré de thé matcha qui a l’avantage d’après la serveuse de n’avoir aucun goût et donc de préparer parfaitement notre palais à l’expérience gastronomique qui allait suivre. Le point d’orgue étant une crème glacée aux pois chiches saupoudrée d’herbes de Provence en dessert. Je précise que le menu qui nous a été remis ne mentionnait ni les plats ni le prix du repas. Bref un vol éhonté.

21/09/2024: Most unfriendly welcome from gruff manager who told us he was the proprietor. Never met a proprietor in the whole world who couldn’t have cared less no wonder only 12 persons in the restaurant. Wouldn’t let us eat outside because of weather even though we were happy to take risk. Food really poor. Chablis was ok. Service unfriendly and unhelpful in that no attempt to speak Anglais.. We were here as a couple at end of June/early July and it was buzzy and food great. Maybe Autumn arrives very early in Menerbes 20th Sept.

15/09/2024: Wir kennen das Bistro le 5 seit 5 Jahren. Seitdem es einen neuen Besitzer hat (französische Kette?), ist es -mit Ausnahme der Einrichtung und des tollen Blicks- nicht mehr wieder zu erkennen. Die Qualität des Essens ist nur „okay“, für die Preise aber nicht akzeptabel. Ravioli Trüffel waren ungefüllte Nudeln mit viel zu viel Sahnesauce. Das feine, geschmacklich besondere, ist völlig abhanden gekommen. Der Salade César war ein „dahingeklatschtes Ensemble“. Gefragt, wie es uns geschmeckt hat, wurden wir nicht. Das Personal wirkt zusammengewürfelt und nicht der Location angemessen. Außer zu einem Drink auf der Terrasse werden wir dort nicht mehr hingehen. Preis-Leistung für das Essen stimmt nicht.

12/09/2024: Very good bakery and a wide variety of snacks. Big downside for the nauseating smell in the toilets... After eating, it's enough to vomit... The staff was attentive when the problem was raised.

24/08/2024: Une Bergerie qui devrait porter le nom de Cantine …. une cacophonie vraiment désagréable : obligés de hausser le ton pour discuter. Quant au repas …. tellement déçus . Un bout d’agneau même pas paré, tellement gras que j’en ai laissé la moitié dans mon assiette, un accompagnement très restreint : 4 feuilles de salade , 6 petites pommes de terre et 3 cuillères de ratatouille….pour deux !!!! Et on arrive au chariot de desserts : insipides et présentés sans aucune élégance après le passage des clients . Heureusement il y a la vue 🤪🤪

21/08/2024: L’endroit est fabuleux, la cuisine savoureuse et le service agréable. Cet endroit est à recommander très largement et mériterait ses 5 étoiles … … mais un incident fâcheux a gâché notre fin de dîner : lorsque le WIFI du restaurant tombe en panne - interdisant le règlement par cartes bancaires des clients ne résidant pas à l’hôtel - le restaurant se met en mode panique … le vin commandé n’arrive jamais, plus de service pour proposer des desserts, nous écourtons la fin du dîner… dommage pour le restaurant, car nous avions encore au bas mot une centaine d’euros à rajouter à notre addition. Dès le lendemain, le restaurant avait mis en place un paiement sécurisé à distance : comme nous sommes honnêtes nous avons réglé immédiatement. Deux conclusions à méditer : - le service au client est malheureusement passé après la résolution infructueuse du problème informatique que l’équipe sur place n’a pas géré au mieux - aucun geste commercial n’a été proposé pour symboliquement remédier au dysfonctionnement Cet incident et sa gestion ne nous paraissent pas dignes de l’excellence du Groupe Beaumier ! Mais nous reviendrons avec plaisir tant le lieu est magique.

30/08/2024: superbe expérience bistronomique lors d'un déjeuner à midi en semaine ... Trés bon rapport qualité prix par rapport aux restaurants du reste de la ville... cela merite vraiment de mettre quelques euros de plus à son addition et d'avoir le plaisir de cette expérience culinaire dans ce bel endroit et son magnifique jardin

17/08/2024: We've stayed and/or eaten at La Mirande many times over the past 15-20 years, and this was the worst meal we have ever had, and the most expensive. No choice, apart from stating what we didn't want or like, and even that wasn't followed. One single St. Jaques, absolutely nothing special. Several mackerel, a totally un-nobel fish. Several individual plates which were good. The crab dish was exceptional, and the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately we were given the pork dish which has a sauce made from pigs blood, and I specifically stated that I did not want that dish (I had read about it before). Deserts were OK, The wine was faire. Years ago they always had exceptional wines by the glass. No longer true. On our next visit, we'll either eat downstairs or in the bar. Never again will I eat in the restaurant until they either change the chef or the menu.

29/06/2024: The sea bass is incredibly fresh, cooked to perfection on a bed of fennel...a pure treat. I have never eaten such good fish...really For the chocolate pyramid...there are too many different tastes...we lose the main flavor...a shame because the presentation and the idea are superb.. Very slight downside on the service...it is very fast😜. We hadn't finished the aperitif at all (we weren't even halfway through) when the dish was served I will definitely come back with the disappointment of not returning to a bar to have the pleasure of discovering something else. Congratulations again to the Chef 😁

29/07/2024: I pray for the Downfall of this establishment and curse it. A far too varied menu with execrable quality/quantity. Didn't take the paella or just didn't come

11/06/2024: This restaurant is a shame in Avignon. Being a local, avoid 3/4 of the restaurants on Place de l'Horloge and go to Place Pie with respectable restaurants that are not tourist traps.

27/08/2024: Une adresse rare où la qualité des produits, de la cuisine et du service offert sont toujours excellents. Les plats du jours sont variés et créatifs.

30/08/2024: Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es scheint als ob es keinen wichtigeren Gast gäbe, als den, mit dem man gerade spricht. Sehr angenehm! Der Manager sieht aus, als wolle er seine Sachen bewachen, damit sie niemand klaut. Etwas skurril, stört aber nicht. Er sitzt halt da rum. Das Essen war deutlich besser als wir erwartet hatten und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt! Verbesserungsvorschlag, man könnte einen Muskat aus Beaumes de Venice mit auf die Speisekarte nehmen.

01/08/2024: Horrible, nous avons pris une paella soit disant maison... aucun goût, moules et calamars secs à s'étouffer et serveuse pas aimables du tout ! A fuir !!
