02/11/2025: A very good meal with a welcome gesture of goodwill, as one of the dishes chosen was not part of the daily special, yet it was ordered as such. Special mention goes to the excellent chocolate fondant.

24/09/2025: Extremely unfriendly. Before even sitting down, we were shouted at by an employee for parking our race bikes next to the (closed) terrace. We left immediately, so I can’t judge the food.

19/08/2026: A lovely restaurant by the water in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Quick and friendly service, good food.

15/08/2026: The service leaves much to be desired… The owner, if he's not drunk, is pretty close… The food, frankly, isn't good, and the sauces taste like soap… A tomato and burrata salad for €27, with cheap tomatoes and a tiny burrata… There are plenty of other restaurants in the area! Go somewhere else!!

24/05/2026: This old hotel has retained its charm. However, it could use some restoration in certain areas (crooked stairs, faded paint in a few places, and worn carpets). It would be nice to offer the following in the rooms: a USB port, a bottle of water in the suites, chocolates in the evening when guests turn down for the night, etc. Small details, but they make all the difference. We had no hot water one evening. After mentioning the problem to reception, no one called us back. We tested the water again later, and it was working. A call to let us know it was being repaired would have been appropriate. The staff is efficient and dedicated. The hotel is very well located, and everything is within walking distance. The town is charming. I recommend this place.

28/08/2026: Superb day with a special mention for the salt cave 🤩🤩

27/08/2026: Visited Tuesday, August 25th. The pool is very nice but absolutely filthy... We could feel debris under our feet and the waterline was almost brown... The showers weren't clean. The "ice room" never worked (where was the ice dispenser? Several of us wondered the same thing). The restaurant: 2 hours and 10 minutes to eat one main course and one dessert. There were about fifteen covers for three servers and an interminable wait. We really regret having to wait so long for a fish and a pasta dish; we could have enjoyed the spa more. The outdoor jacuzzi was also dirty; there was a greasy deposit in the water. As for the garden, we wanted to get a soda and were told it was forbidden to consume it outside; otherwise, we had to sit at a table. However, there were tables outside, and there were cans and glasses placed on them next to other customers. The menu indicated that we could order afternoon tea between 3 pm and 6 pm. Arriving at 3 pm, we were turned away because the kitchen wasn't ready until 3:30 pm. A rather unpleasant person, not the waitress with glasses but the other one who had also served us at our table... not very friendly. It might be helpful to put up a small sign indicating that guests shouldn't stay longer than a certain amount of time, as the jacuzzi was reserved for over an hour by a group of five without anyone else being able to use it. The reception staff and the waiter, however, were very pleasant and friendly. The hammam and sauna were also very good, as was the salt cave.

04/05/2026: A lovely hotel in the heart of Avignon, close to all the sights. And above all, a wonderful team who took excellent care of their guests. A marvelous memory of this weekend in Avignon. Thank you.

04/05/2026: Perfect location right in the city center, public parking nearby with a discount of €20 per day thanks to the hotel. Comfortable room.

16/06/2026: On Friday, June 12th, about forty of us, invited by our association, dined there. The salad was tasteless, without a hint of dressing; the cod and spelt were barely lukewarm; the Ventoux pork was equally bland; the apple pastry was tiny; the wait was interminable (and the owner sat calmly among us); and to top it all off, if you choose to have tea, it costs extra... despite having around forty set menus at 40 Euros! In short, none of us will be returning to or recommending this restaurant.

24/05/2026: Great restaurant with a lovely shaded terrace offering panoramic views in the charming village of Crillon-le-Brave at the foot of Mont Ventoux. Welcoming staff and good food at reasonable prices.

20/08/2026: Delicious, locally sourced cuisine! The location is perfect, centrally located yet tucked away in a quiet corner. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, which offers both high-quality food and a friendly, family atmosphere. I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed.

20/08/2026: Great outdoor seating area, excellent food of outstanding quality, and friendly staff. During our visit, the waiter was solely responsible for the packed outdoor seating area and still took excellent care of all the guests. We'd gladly return!

07/09/2026: I don't understand the low rating (3.8) for this restaurant. We had the menu du jour for €18 and it was delicious. A beautifully tender piece of meat, tasty gravy, fried potatoes, and a rocket salad finished with Parmesan cheese. Nice view of the square at the Palais de Papes. Friendly service, so as far as we are concerned, it was perfect!

06/09/2026: In summer, sitting on the terrace in the evening is truly magical. The view of the palace walls alone captivates the senses – accompanied by music, intriguing perspectives, and people everywhere. The atmosphere is light, relaxed, and vibrant without being intrusive. The restaurant more than lives up to this extraordinary location. The service is excellent – ​​young, efficient, and multilingual. The cuisine is far superior to expectations. The whole sea bass, already boneless, served with a refined gratin, was superb. The Black Angus fillet was also, of course, cooked to perfection – delicate, tender, and flawlessly prepared. To top it off, a bottle of AOP Ventoux from Saint Marc for just 25 euros – it truly leaves nothing to be desired. A truly special evening.

23/05/2026: The service was friendly, the seating was lovely, but unfortunately, the food was not at all good value for money. There also seemed to be hygiene issues: three of us had the same fish appetizer and spent a considerable amount of time in the restroom the next day. When we complained about the quality of the meat on one of our plates, we were met with nothing but shrugs. We won't be back.

21/05/2026: A truly lovely and charming retreat with a very personal atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and multilingual, and the dinner was fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

26/05/2026: We visited the restaurant spontaneously and enjoyed the best meal during our 10 day trip in the Provence. It was a wonderful meal with an organic touch and well combined. Stephanie and Pierre-Yves are a great team. Had to take a foto of them.

24/05/2026: We stayed at Hotel César for two nights during a hiking trip. The rooms and restaurant are very charmingly and lovingly decorated, and the view is magnificent. The food in the restaurant alone is worth the trip; Stéphanie and Pierre-Yves have created a real gem here and run the hotel and restaurant with passion!

27/08/2026: €10 for a one-liter bottle of sparkling water in the middle of summer heat. Outrageous price for such an ordinary place with such unfriendly service. And the prices weren't displayed, so it was a surprise when it came time to pay.

26/08/2026: Guests, including their dogs, are warmly welcomed here. It's like eating at Mom's. Fresh ingredients, a clear menu on the chalkboard. Cooked with passion by the owner and chef. Lots of locals, it reminded me of the local bars from my time in Tuscany. Just arrive, settle in, enjoy – all uncomplicated and welcoming. If you're looking for authentic French cuisine, this is the place for you.

07/09/2026: It's a mystery to me how low this restaurant's overall rating is. Today we had the best foie gras we've had in ages and an excellent salmon tartare, both presented in an original and beautifully decorated way on a wooden board. The service was impeccable, and we also appreciated the misting system in the 34°C heat. Highly recommended!

07/09/2026: The 3.9 is incorrect. This place is amazing. Delicious tiramisu, starters, and salads. The place across the street is packed because I think everyone judges it purely by the ratings. Go eat here, it won't disappoint. The waiter is somewhat inviting, but the waitress is absolutely not. It is a bit pricey, though.
