07/09/2025: Everything was perfect! The setting is wonderful, the decor beautiful, and the hosts were kind and gracious. We had a wonderful time; everything was delicious and rich in flavor. We highly recommend it and can't wait to come back!

15/12/2024: Testé dans le cadre d’une formule spa et déjeuner, nous avons été déçues par le restaurant. Si la salle est agréable et le service professionnel, la cuisine est bonne mais bien trop simple et pas assez originale pour ce type d’établissement gastronomique, c’est décevant. Dommage…

18/08/2024: As one of our favourite movies is "A Good Year" which some scenes were filmed here we really wanted to visit. We ordered our food and paid via the QR code on the table. Having waited for 45 minutes we asked one of the waiters when we can expect our food, he went away & came back with a handful of tickets asking us which one was our order, we advised him (even though the table number was on the ticket and our electronic receipt). He then advised us that the food would be with us shortly and it was although it was very poor indeed, they couldn't even manage to get the chips right as they were overcooked and hard. We were very disappointed and would not return. The movie quoted "McDonalds Avignon, Fish & Chips Marseille allez" Think this would have been a better option :(

17/08/2024: Carte très limitée. A l'image des portions proposées. Pas de menu enfant. Un vrai piège à touristes. On commande par internet. Pratique mais pas très humain. Très déçu. Pourtant le cadre est di beau et la terrasse très sympa.

21/09/2024: Most unfriendly welcome from gruff manager who told us he was the proprietor. Never met a proprietor in the whole world who couldn’t have cared less no wonder only 12 persons in the restaurant. Wouldn’t let us eat outside because of weather even though we were happy to take risk. Food really poor. Chablis was ok. Service unfriendly and unhelpful in that no attempt to speak Anglais.. We were here as a couple at end of June/early July and it was buzzy and food great. Maybe Autumn arrives very early in Menerbes 20th Sept.

15/09/2024: Wir kennen das Bistro le 5 seit 5 Jahren. Seitdem es einen neuen Besitzer hat (französische Kette?), ist es -mit Ausnahme der Einrichtung und des tollen Blicks- nicht mehr wieder zu erkennen. Die Qualität des Essens ist nur „okay“, für die Preise aber nicht akzeptabel. Ravioli Trüffel waren ungefüllte Nudeln mit viel zu viel Sahnesauce. Das feine, geschmacklich besondere, ist völlig abhanden gekommen. Der Salade César war ein „dahingeklatschtes Ensemble“. Gefragt, wie es uns geschmeckt hat, wurden wir nicht. Das Personal wirkt zusammengewürfelt und nicht der Location angemessen. Außer zu einem Drink auf der Terrasse werden wir dort nicht mehr hingehen. Preis-Leistung für das Essen stimmt nicht.

24/08/2024: Une Bergerie qui devrait porter le nom de Cantine …. une cacophonie vraiment désagréable : obligés de hausser le ton pour discuter. Quant au repas …. tellement déçus . Un bout d’agneau même pas paré, tellement gras que j’en ai laissé la moitié dans mon assiette, un accompagnement très restreint : 4 feuilles de salade , 6 petites pommes de terre et 3 cuillères de ratatouille….pour deux !!!! Et on arrive au chariot de desserts : insipides et présentés sans aucune élégance après le passage des clients . Heureusement il y a la vue 🤪🤪

21/08/2024: L’endroit est fabuleux, la cuisine savoureuse et le service agréable. Cet endroit est à recommander très largement et mériterait ses 5 étoiles … … mais un incident fâcheux a gâché notre fin de dîner : lorsque le WIFI du restaurant tombe en panne - interdisant le règlement par cartes bancaires des clients ne résidant pas à l’hôtel - le restaurant se met en mode panique … le vin commandé n’arrive jamais, plus de service pour proposer des desserts, nous écourtons la fin du dîner… dommage pour le restaurant, car nous avions encore au bas mot une centaine d’euros à rajouter à notre addition. Dès le lendemain, le restaurant avait mis en place un paiement sécurisé à distance : comme nous sommes honnêtes nous avons réglé immédiatement. Deux conclusions à méditer : - le service au client est malheureusement passé après la résolution infructueuse du problème informatique que l’équipe sur place n’a pas géré au mieux - aucun geste commercial n’a été proposé pour symboliquement remédier au dysfonctionnement Cet incident et sa gestion ne nous paraissent pas dignes de l’excellence du Groupe Beaumier ! Mais nous reviendrons avec plaisir tant le lieu est magique.

09/03/2026: It's a lovely hotel with so much history. The location was great and we could walk to everything in the walled city, as well as the local train station and bus stops. The TGV station was a short cab ride away, so it's very central. The breakfast was delicious each morning! We also enjoyed the courtyard, afternoon tea and a drink in the bar area in the evenings. All of the staff were very helpful, especially Anthony at the front desk. We're very happy we stayed at La Mirande while in Avignon!

16/01/2026: The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful—very vintage and artistic, with a subtle, pleasant fragrance throughout the room. We booked a stay with breakfast included; the breakfast room is stunning, and the selection is generous and delicious. All the staff were extremely polite and warm, always ready to help whenever I had any questions. The location is also perfect, directly opposite the Papal Palace.

28/08/2024: L'accueil chaleureux, le cadre à la fois élégant et comme si l'on était dans une maison de famille, le service à la fois discret et extrêmement attentionné, sans parler de la cuisine tellement exquise... Nous avons pris le menu dégustation 5 plats qui est absolument un régal : une cuisine inventive mais pas trop, alliant la cuisine traditionnelle provençale et une touche tellement délicate de modernité, de saveurs surprenantes et inventives mais sans oublier les racines familiales. Ce fut un doux et merveilleux moment. Merci au chef Xavier Mathieu et à toute son équipe.

25/08/2024: Tout était exquis. Nous avons passé un moment fabuleux en ayant sélectionné le menu 4 plats. Bémol sur la proposition des vins dans l’accord mets et vins 2 verres qui manquait d’originalité et de longueur en bouche. On s’attend à plus d’audace pour faire résonner les plats d’avantage avec le vin. Merci !

22/09/2025: I don't recommend it at all. The service is terrible! The waiters are incredibly friendly, and the so-called homemade fries are frozen!

20/10/2024: Déçu escalopes milanaise n ayant que le nom, steak de thon sec trop cuit et archi cuit, des pâtes.....si vous cherchez l'Italie vous ne trouverez que des "artistes" mais au sens provençal y compris si vous êtes touristes

01/10/2024: Wir hatten hier einen Tisch reserviert für 18:00 und kamen zehn Minuten vor 18:00 am Restaurant an. Es war noch kein einziger Tisch eingedeckt und der Koch lungerte (sorry, aber anders kann man die Haltung im Stuhl einfach nicht benennen) rauchend an einem Tisch vor dem Restaurant herum. Damit hatte sich unser Interesse an diesem Restaurant erledigt. Wir haben umgehend storniert und eins der umliegenden, deutlich attraktiveren Restaurants aufgesucht. Von dort konnten wir in den nächsten zwei Stunden beobachten, dass zwar eingedeckt wurde und auch geöffnet wurde, aber kein Gast das Restaurant betrat, während die umliegenden Restaurants gut besucht waren. Für uns war das Bestätigung genug, dass die Stornierung das einzig Richtige war. Das Essen können wir natürlich so nicht bewerten, daher zwei Punkte für die Option auf ordentliches Essen.
