31/12/2025: Classic but high-quality cuisine. Very good fries and generous portions. Meat cooked perfectly. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, this restaurant closed at the end of 2025.

28/11/2025: Perfect for a break during a bike tour. Located by the road with a large, sunny garden seating area.

06/07/2026: We were on our way home from a motorcycle trip and were already quite close to home. As we were driving through Velorgues, we suddenly caught the smell of a barbecue! Without hesitation, I said to my boyfriend, “Turn around and find out where that amazing smell is coming from!” We found it! A small, cozy place with a barbecue grill going. The ladies serving us were incredibly friendly. We ordered a 500 g steak cooked on the grill. We didn’t have to wait long for our food—in fact, it arrived surprisingly quickly! The steak was cooked exactly the way we requested. Even though it was our first time there, it definitely won’t be our last!

26/06/2026: First visit since the change of ownership. A "hello" wasn't exactly customary at Françoise's, as everyone knew. It's a shame the two new young owners haven't brought this magic word back into fashion. Even when you arrive with your hands full. Is this a cursed place for saying hello with a smile? Otherwise, two of the three waitresses are smiling and friendly. Given the choice between two places serving coffee for €1.50, which do you think you'd go to? With or without a smile?

20/04/2026: By far my favorite café in Avignon! A very warm atmosphere, ideal for getting some work done, with delicious pastries of course ;) Update 4 years later: A landmark is closing… we'll miss you.

25/08/2026: Your burgers are already getting more and more expensive, so it would be nice if, when we pay extra for bacon, we actually got some in the burger. I always check that everything is in my order; now I have to open the burger to see if everything is there. It's a bit of a rip-off.

25/08/2026: The food is your usual McDonald's fare, but the service is the first time I've encountered such friendly and pleasant McDonald's staff. The restaurant is clean.

31/08/2026: SHAMEFUL!! A mandatory €25 set menu (main course + dessert) for tasteless food; even a 5-year-old could do better. We were even worried we'd get sick... The only positive points are the location and the fast service.

04/09/2026: We arrived at 2 pm for lunch (terrace with a lovely view behind the restaurant): salad and parmesan ravioli. Very good. The spritz was affordable and tasty. Wine list: they offered 50cl carafes served in a cooler (that's really rare). A good dessert and to finish, a glass of champagne. All served by attentive Angelique. A good place, perhaps better after the lunch rush.

18/06/2026: Location is great. We only had a after dinner drink in the patio and service was slow. Room really nice but a little small. Receptionist very kind suggested restaurants around. Because of the narrow streets in the old town, we ended up scraping all the rims on our sports car. However, when we left, the parking attendant was extremely kind and helped guide us out of the old town.

12/06/2026: La Mirande is a gorgeous hotel with a perfect location in Avignon. When I first arrived I was given a room that was so incredibly beautiful it felt like the room of a queen. Unfortunately, there was a plumbing issue underneath my bathroom that precipitated me needing to be moved to another room. While the staff was incredibly courteous and attentive to me during this issue, the updated room I was moved to was much darker and had a musty smell - not quite as on par with the original room. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend the hotel. I had several lovely meals out on the garden terrace admiring the flowers and the view of the Pope's Palace. And I really cannot emphasize enough how excellent the staff were at every moment of my visit.

30/08/2026: The reception wasn't great. A young woman was very unpleasant when we were choosing our ice creams, which were delicious.

25/08/2026: I ordered a milkshake. The result: a small cardboard cup, 20-25cl capacity, only two-thirds full, all for the modest sum of €9. Run away and go to Leone's, 100 times better, at least for ice cream. I don't know about their pastries.
