29/09/2024: At the end of September 2024, I spent a few days in Avignon and I chose the Mercure Avignon Center Palais des Papes. Essentially for its central location, next to the famous Palais des Papes, and also for its Privilege room with terrace. For the rest, I expected Mercure standards: friendly welcome, modern and functional room, simple but complete breakfast, concrete architecture style "60s-70s and often a good bar/restaurant (not this time because it is not there is no bar/restaurant in the hotel but we invite you to go to the Mercure Center Pont d'Avignon - just a stone's throw away - to have a welcome drink there; I was so well received there that I am there; returned for dinner and the meal at Racine was very good - thank you to the Racine team for these good times). But, the pinnacle was my Privilege room with this beautiful large terrace overlooking the Place du Palais and the Palais des Papes. Unbelievable, rarely seen, the most beautiful terrace in the very center of Avignon! Incredible, moving, edifying - I had the feeling of being able to touch the Palace -, impressive, inspiring, ... In short, an exceptional feeling of feeling like you were in the Vatican, on St. Peter's Square and on your own terrace! Unforgettable memory! And thank you again to the entire Mercure team for their kindness and helpfulness.

26/09/2024: After a very warm welcome on arrival, certainly a somewhat cramped room but the building is old... A desk was missing but at least a chair. We are to the right of the Papal Palace so a 3 minute walk from the congress is what I was looking for. We are right in the center with restaurants to go out. Public parking with a 20% discount

16/12/2024: Super nice restaurant, very good value for money. In summer, the terrace is very pleasant. And the great service! Especially when you are served by Aymeric!! It has become our canteen ☺️

16/12/2024: "We had the pleasure of dining at Le Pigale restaurant in Orange for the sixth time, and once again, we were delighted with our experience. Our server, Aymeric, was exceptional. 01/09/2024: We spent a weekend at the Val de Sault estate for a family celebration. The area is peaceful and the rooms are very pleasant. The owners are adorable and accommodating. We also fell in love with the swimming pool and the restaurant, the renovation was very successful! Delighted to have found this place, which allowed us to meet in very good conditions.

26/08/2024: A hotel recently taken over by a young couple who have brought this exceptional site back to life. Excellent for peacefully enjoying an exceptional sporting or family moment... The table with local products is to be had 👌👌.. We recommend 👌👌

17/09/2024: Tout aurait pu être bien mais non…. Service désorganisé. On nous a clairement oublié. La table à côté de nous a eu le temps d’être servie et de terminer entrée et plat que nous n’avions même pas une carafe d’eau sur la table… au bout de plus de 45 minutes, et après avoir demander, les plats sont enfin arrivés mais froid évidemment. Aucune excuse, pas un mot. Nous avons payé et sommes partis.

12/09/2024: Nous sommes allées à la brasserie st Jean pour un déjeuner lors de notre séjour à Avignon. Très belle surprise ! Bon emplacement de brasserie juste en face des halles. Excellent rapport qualité-prix pour le menu 3 plats. Je recommande les linguines aux cèpes. Excellent accueil et service du jeune serveur Julien. Nous y retournerons sans problème.

30/09/2024: Waiter who drags his feet, breathes and seems to be suffering from working here. Minimal ice cream presentation for €6 for two scoops. Order that does not arrive. Too bad because the place is nice. Without tourists this place would no longer exist with minimal service and products. Too bad because people come from far away to see the village.

28/09/2024: Nice terrace, very friendly and attentive service, good food at fair prices. Unfortunately the toilet was broken. Still recommended!

03/09/2024: Very welcoming staff, did not hesitate to relight the stove despite the evening closing to prepare us fried nuggets (very good) even offered to transport us to the neighboring garage which repaired our vehicle. Really at the top of kindness

20/08/2024: Nice place for a drink, press service. The bosses are smiling, only one negative point the magazines are too tight, no space which is a shame

26/10/2024: A magical setting, original and very clean rooms, the comfort of the beds.....everything is perfect including the owner who gave us a warm welcome. We will undoubtedly come back to it and talk about it around us.

04/09/2024: C’est une honte !! Très peu de choix d’entrée, dessert et plat !! Presque impossible de s’assoir à table car toutes celles ci sont sales !! Rien n’est bon c’est inadmissible.

14/08/2024: Repas conforme au niveau IKEA. Propre. Personnel sympathique. Le seul hic c’est que ce jour il y avait beaucoup de monde et la salle était très bruyante

04/07/2024: Un très bel endroit pour notre mariage, très bon repas le soir MAIS la prestation commandée concernait aussi le lendemain et là quelle terrible déception car l'accueil et l'avis des clients ne sont pas la priorité des propriétaires. Il était prévu la privatisation du domaine jusqu'à 18h00, le service et une paella pour 80 personnes. La Paella était mauvaise, sèche, mal cuite, mal présentée et insuffisante en quantité (La paella a permis de nourrir correctement 50 personnes les autres ont eu soit une toute petite part soit un steak frites à la va vite). J'ai fait part de mon mécontentement à la propriétaire ayant payé pour toute la prestation (2500€ la paella dont 800€ de privatisation) et lui ai proposé un arrangement amiable. En réponse elle m'a dit on a réussi à sortir 72 assiettes avec les steaks puis elle est devenue hystérique, elle m'a insulté me traitant d'enc..., vociférant dans tout le domaine. De plus, dès 16h00 un des enfants de la propriétaire n'a pas arrêté de nous dire quand partez vous j'ai ma séance de moto. Bref le domaine est beau, le repas du soir était bon mais le lendemain gâché par des propriétaires soucieux de facturer au prix fort plutôt que faire de la qualité. C'est fort dommage

24/08/2024: Une Bergerie qui devrait porter le nom de Cantine …. une cacophonie vraiment désagréable : obligés de hausser le ton pour discuter. Quant au repas …. tellement déçus . Un bout d’agneau même pas paré, tellement gras que j’en ai laissé la moitié dans mon assiette, un accompagnement très restreint : 4 feuilles de salade , 6 petites pommes de terre et 3 cuillères de ratatouille….pour deux !!!! Et on arrive au chariot de desserts : insipides et présentés sans aucune élégance après le passage des clients . Heureusement il y a la vue 🤪🤪

21/08/2024: L’endroit est fabuleux, la cuisine savoureuse et le service agréable. Cet endroit est à recommander très largement et mériterait ses 5 étoiles … … mais un incident fâcheux a gâché notre fin de dîner : lorsque le WIFI du restaurant tombe en panne - interdisant le règlement par cartes bancaires des clients ne résidant pas à l’hôtel - le restaurant se met en mode panique … le vin commandé n’arrive jamais, plus de service pour proposer des desserts, nous écourtons la fin du dîner… dommage pour le restaurant, car nous avions encore au bas mot une centaine d’euros à rajouter à notre addition. Dès le lendemain, le restaurant avait mis en place un paiement sécurisé à distance : comme nous sommes honnêtes nous avons réglé immédiatement. Deux conclusions à méditer : - le service au client est malheureusement passé après la résolution infructueuse du problème informatique que l’équipe sur place n’a pas géré au mieux - aucun geste commercial n’a été proposé pour symboliquement remédier au dysfonctionnement Cet incident et sa gestion ne nous paraissent pas dignes de l’excellence du Groupe Beaumier ! Mais nous reviendrons avec plaisir tant le lieu est magique.
