13/09/2026: What a pleasant surprise! We booked online and were offered a lovely idea: an aperitif with an amuse-bouche on the terrace, followed by a €33 set menu that exceeded all our expectations. The quality of the ingredients and the cooking were perfect (the pork pluma was exquisite), and to finish, we enjoyed a gourmet coffee with delicious treats. The service was impeccable, and the bill was more than reasonable. 👍

31/08/2026: A trusted address where everything is done for your utmost enjoyment, as is the art of fine dining. Quality ingredients, regional recipes, and reasonable prices that bring a smile to our faces (not to mention all the regularly updated set menus). A menu that evolves with the seasons, and in our case, a birthday meal (adults, teens, and children) with a thoughtful selection tailored to our guests, including some vegetarians (the Vendée brioche, French toast style, with caramel was a resounding success!). Kudos to Marie in the kitchen and at the helm of this wonderful establishment, and to Gwen and her team for the service. The wine list is also carefully curated and caters to all budgets. We were already familiar with it, but we have no doubt we'll be back, especially since the location is beautiful and just steps from the Sèvre Niortaise river. A sure value in terms of quality and time, with a definite appreciation of local products, and that is exactly what we are looking for.

I've tried almost everything they make, and there's really nothing to dislike; everything is delicious. My go-to is the tuna sandwich, and when they run out, the saleswoman makes one for me right away, no problem, with a smile. It's these little touches that keep you coming back. You really feel welcome; it's a true family bakery, and you can feel it every time. It's such a refreshing change from all those chains where you're just another customer. Here, it's all about craftsmanship, quality, and above all, lovely people.

25/08/2026: A wonderful discovery during our vacation We discovered the Auberge Sainte Catherine in Foussais-Payré during our vacation and had a fantastic time. The welcome was truly warm and friendly, with a helpful and attentive staff. The setting is lovely, with the typical atmosphere of a traditional inn, which immediately creates a relaxed and pleasant ambiance. As for the food, we were very pleasantly surprised. The dishes were of very high quality, beautifully presented, and above all, delicious, with ingredients that seemed carefully selected. You can tell that the cooking is done with passion and a desire to offer something of quality without going overboard. Another excellent point: the value for money. For around €35 ​​per person, we had a very good meal, which seems perfectly reasonable considering the quality offered. We therefore recommend this place without hesitation if you are passing through the Foussais-Payré area. This is exactly the kind of restaurant we love to discover on vacation: simple, warm, friendly, and with excellent food. 05/09/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. The appetizer buffet was well-stocked. I ordered a hamburger with homemade fries and a salad. The meat was cooked perfectly, the hamburger was excellent, and the fries were also very good. For dessert, I chose the French toast with warm caramel and whipped cream: simply excellent! The welcome and the staff were very professional, friendly, and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant, both for the quality of its food and its warm atmosphere.

05/09/2026: We regularly eat at La Belle Aventure and are always delighted with our meal. The homemade cold buffet and the Chef's country pâté are a real treat. Not to mention the homemade desserts! We particularly appreciate the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, not to mention Chef Alexandre's passion for local and seasonal cuisine! We also regularly order their appetizer platters, which are always delicious and generous. It's a place we particularly love and recommend without hesitation!

01/09/2026: Fresh products and very affordable prices. The waitress is friendly and pleasant. The only downside: the service is extremely slow. We waited over 30 minutes for our galettes. Fortunately, the taste and the homemade feel make up for the long wait. It's a shame, because the value for money is still very good. The setting is also pleasant.

18/09/2026: A pleasant surprise! A small café/restaurant/PMU (betting shop) in the heart of the village. À la carte menu on Sunday lunchtimes, children's menu. Simple and good food, with fresh produce and delicious homemade fries, all at a very reasonable price. Special mention for the smiles and warm welcome of the owners, which make the place very inviting.
