The three-course menu at around 25 euros is impressively priced, with several choices for each course, and the overall quality was very satisfying. I also had a bottle of wine for about 25 euros, which matched the menu very well. The service is a little fast and at times slightly rushed, but that also fits the lively bistro atmosphere. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience, and the balance of quality, simplicity, and pricing is excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a very good and affordable meal in Bordeaux.

30/03/2026: We chose this Réunion Island restaurant in Bordeaux to celebrate my 31st birthday, drawn in by the many positive reviews highlighting the quality of the food and service. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was very peculiar: no music, an almost empty dining room (we were the only large table, with just one other customer who left quickly), and a rather cold, unfriendly welcome. This created a somewhat oppressive atmosphere, as if we were being asked to cut our visit short or "manage" it rather than enjoy a festive occasion. We had made a reservation for several people, but a few guests had to cancel at the last minute for personal reasons (illness, pregnancy, etc.). This seemed to greatly upset the restaurant owner, creating a palpable tension throughout the meal. Most surprisingly, a typical Réunion Island dish couldn't be served to one of the guests, using these absences as an excuse. In a restaurant, one expects the à la carte dishes to be available regardless of the exact number of people at the table. We came to enjoy a pleasant time and celebrate a birthday, but instead, we felt a sense of pressure during the meal, exacerbated by the lack of atmosphere and the nervousness of the service. It's a shame, because the place had potential, but the overall experience didn't live up to our expectations.

23/03/2026: A truly unique place! This establishment has been open for 18 years, and for good reason. The owner is exceptionally kind, the welcome is warm, and the food is delicious. Special mention for the chili pepper, absolutely divine! Thank you for a wonderful experience. This is clearly a restaurant that deserves to be much better known.

05/04/2026: My daughter and I came to have a Dame Blanche sundae on the terrace. From the first bite, I thought the chocolate tasted strange. Not being entirely sure at the time, we ate some of the ice cream anyway. When we got to the bottom of the sundae, the chocolate tasted distinctly off (spicy). We immediately pointed it out. After checking, the staff admitted that the chocolate was off. We had already eaten some of the ice cream without realizing there was a problem, which is all the more worrying as I am eight months pregnant and my daughter is eight years old. We were offered another sundae, but we had lost our appetites after that experience. My daughter simply ordered another scoop of vanilla ice cream, the one she hadn't been able to eat because of the chocolate. To our great surprise, we were still asked to pay for the entire sundae (€8.50), on the grounds that we had eaten part of it. I left feeling unwell and genuinely hurt that I'd had to pay for a sundae with spoiled chocolate. I even went back to complain, and was told that I'd already eaten most of it. This is unacceptable. I won't be returning to this establishment, both because of the hygiene issues this suggests and the poor customer service. My daughter told me she had a stomach ache after this incident.
