12/05/2026: Two words to describe my Bobun experience: delicious. The dry-cooked shrimp are a delight for the taste buds, perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. Now let's talk about the side dish: the fried flat beans—I've rarely tasted vegetables cooked so well… In short, go and ask for the traditional menu; it may not look like much, but it's full of gems! Thank you, Bobun, for this experience! P.S.: Special mention for the tripe!!!

11/05/2026: Excellent place! The bo bun is delicious and the Chinese fondue (very spicy) is very generous! PS: Special mention for the dry-cooked shrimp, one of the best dishes I've had in Bordeaux.

17/04/2026: I came for two days, tried two dishes, and each time I was blown away. Everything was simply delicious, from the ribeye steak to the burger and even the fries. Everything was excellent, and the chef was very welcoming and friendly.

18/04/2026: The food was very good, but unfortunately, some items on the menu were unavailable... more than four today. A minor complaint about the waiter, who didn't exactly greet us with a smile. We didn't feel welcome at all. This surprised us a bit; the waiter was very cold, not a smile, quite the opposite. We had booked for a birthday celebration, and yet there was nothing... no attention whatsoever. A shame. We won't be back... oh well... I think the service needs improvement.

06/05/2026: I won't be back, and especially keep an eye on your bill! We were supposed to order three set menus at €15.90 each. We showed them the menu with our starters and main courses, and when the bill came, there was an extra €13 charge! 😣 They charged us à la carte, and the owner refused to refund us. Her excuse was that it was because of her daughter, and she added, with a mocking smile, "But I gave you extra, just like à la carte!" She said, "Are you kidding me? You make a mistake and you don't take responsibility at all!" I still went there two or three times when I was passing through, and don't even get me started on the service—they practically threw the plates at you! Anyway, I'm going somewhere else. 😤

02/06/2026: A cook who clearly doesn't know how to cook, but who undoubtedly means well, is clearly not a professional. The same goes for the waiters; I had to get up several times to order. The food was expensive and not good. It deserves a zero. The only positive point is the location.

03/06/2026: If you are here for a beer or glass of wine and the plaza location, you should be fine. If you are here for food, I recommend you go elsewhere. My wife had a steak full of gristle and my coq au vin was tough and the cut of chicken was mostly a back. Sauce was not the deep, savory, robust stew I was expecting but a weak, lackluster, bland mess. Prices are kind of high as expected in a tourist area. Indicative of the care taken by the staff...service was fine, the bathroom had no towels, paper towels or working hand dryer. There was an employee napping on a bench next to the bathroom. As I said...for drinks probably fine, for food, no. _____ If you come to have a beer or a glass of wine and enjoy the location on the square, you shouldn't be disappointed. If you come to eat, I advise you to go elsewhere. My wife had a steak full of gristle and my coq au vin was tough; The chicken was mostly from the back. The sauce wasn't the rich, flavorful, and robust stew I'd expected, but a bland, tasteless, and uninteresting concoction. The prices are quite high, as one might expect in a tourist area. This speaks volumes about the staff's attention to detail... The service was adequate, but the restrooms had no towels, paper towels, or working hand dryers. An employee was napping on a bench next to the restrooms.

26/05/2026: Great food, service and scenery. Only issue was when translating from French into English memu, it indicates a cooked apple to be served with the dish, but it was actually a baked potato.

25/05/2026: The seafood platter restaurants are cheap, but the quality is average; their only advantage is their good location!

15/05/2026: Located inside a famous shopping center in the Lac district of Bordeaux, this charming brasserie is perfect for lunch before or after shopping. Special mention goes to the veal liver and kidneys (made with fresh ingredients) which were excellent and sourced directly from the Capucins market, and the delicious porcini mushroom omelet. They also offer a very good Meteor beer, as well as a selection of gourmet teas, cheeses, and Pessac-Léognan wines. The staff is friendly and professional.

16/04/2026: A very good experience, the waiter was very pleasant and cheerful. It's just a shame there weren't many vegetarian or vegan options, not many alternatives... The rest was great :)

01/05/2026: A fantastic discovery! Everything was excellent from start to finish. Special mention for the pork cooked two ways, the sautéed cabbage, and the sautéed pork with Peking sauce—truly delicious and expertly prepared dishes. A place to remember in Bordeaux 👍

25/05/2026: I went to lunch at this brasserie in April and May, after appointments at the Foch law firm (which is very close by). My husband and I appreciated the always pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The daily special is simple but well-prepared, and the Caesar salad was perfect (a good indicator of quality food). The terrace is very pleasant, with little traffic. A great place to recommend.

22/05/2026: The regulars get the red carpet treatment, while the others watch the parade of haughty, disdainful waiters and wait, and wait, and wait… It's a shame; after about twenty visits, always being one of the others, I prefer to abstain now. It's not at all convivial under these conditions. Nowhere else, or anywhere else for that matter!

17/04/2026: I had hesitated to visit because of the prejudice that Korean barbecue abroad isn't tasty, but the barbecue I had here right before leaving France was exactly like the real meals I used to eat with my family back in Korea. I regret not coming a little sooner haha. I really feel energized here. Thank you :)
