18/07/2026: Hello, A quick update after our visit: it's a shame there's no air conditioning or fan in the room, especially with the current heatwave. The bar's air conditioning doesn't really cool the area where customers are, and it quickly becomes difficult to stay inside. Perhaps installing a fan or a propeller fan could improve comfort? It would really enhance the experience! Thank you.

04/09/2026: This establishment is failing. Minimal service, not up to the standard of the menu. An excellent bottle of white wine for €70, not served in an ice bucket, a mixed platter with no explanation of the specialties offered, no small plates, you eat directly at the table, zucchini fritters (with potatoes?) far too salty, gravlax salmon (mostly grated carrot) with no flavor or consistency whatsoever (well, we are in Corsica, not Norway). We're locals, we had a very good evening there a year ago, we came back, but we won't be returning. The toilets are inadequate… A shame for such an iconic establishment.

12/09/2026: We traveled 200km from Pau to try this restaurant, and our reservation was confirmed by Uniity. Upon arrival, we were simply told that the reservation was cancelled. We received no email or message. Unacceptable!

12/09/2026: Reservation for two made a week ago, confirmation received by email. Only 2 PM slots were available. Okay, we arrive at 2 PM. Cancelled for unknown reasons; we were supposed to have received an email, it wasn't their fault, they said. But no email. And lunch at 2 PM... limited options for dining elsewhere. My culinary experience? I have no idea. Reliable? No.

06/09/2026: I'm giving it 5 stars because the quality-price ratio is fantastic. When there are four of you, you really notice it. The place is small but charming. They also have outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and very attentive. One girl, whose name I don't know, speaks Spanish, but that's not a problem because they're very helpful. The menu isn't extensive, but it's sufficient. Salads, appetizers, pasta, etc. They do have quite a few homemade pizza options. They offer set menus with an appetizer and main course, or a main course and dessert, which works out almost the same as ordering one thing at a time. Appetizers include salads, cured meats, and local pâté. The dessert we tried was the homemade chocolate mousse, which was delicious. A highly recommended spot in the city center!

05/07/2026: We were refused entry to this restaurant because we have children. This is the first time this has happened to us, and we were told in a very unpleasant manner. The restaurant was practically empty... if this is the restaurant's policy, the owner could have explained it to us more politely.

11/08/2026: Fantastic Spanish tapas bar, with a great wine selection and delicious charcuterie! The staff is very welcoming and attentive.

10/08/2026: Probably one of the first pubs in Bordeaux, if not the very first. I knew it from the beginning; it's where I discovered traditional darts and Guinness. Three changes of ownership since Martin. After a period of neglect, darts made a strong comeback. We created the Dartistes Associés there, the first club, then a departmental committee, and finally a league. What remains of it all? I don't know. But great memories and friends.

11/06/2026: A fantastic pub where you're always guaranteed a great time! The atmosphere is always warm and friendly, whether you're having a meal with family, friends, or watching a game. The food is delicious, generous, and tasty, and the whole team is truly wonderful: welcoming, smiling, and attentive. It's the perfect place to meet up for any occasion, with darts and live sports broadcasts adding to the excellent atmosphere. A must-visit for sharing good times in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. Highly recommended!

28/07/2026: A truly wonderful experience. It was my first time trying this restaurant, and I'm disappointed I only had a short stay… The portions are generous and incredibly delicious! You can clearly see that the cooking is done by someone with a passion for the craft, and that's fantastic! Thank you for this delightful culinary interlude and for the lovely conversation after the meal! If you're hesitating about going to this restaurant, don't hesitate any longer and open the door—you won't regret it!

28/07/2026: Excellent Vietnamese restaurant, bobun for €12 with enough food to feed an average-sized ogre, and a smiling, welcoming owner. Go for it!

15/09/2026: A place where history was written! You'll probably be surprised by how many seats there are...about 220 in different parts and floors. The menu is classic French Brasserie, I recommend the fish tartare or the farmer's chicken... the flagship wine here is Chateau Picque Caillou from Pessac, both red and white. But you'll also find a cellar with a pretty decent wine shop, where you can choose from lots of great wines!

15/09/2026: The atmosphere, looks and location of the Brasserie Bordelaise carry this establishment....but the food is a big let down. This is really is a tourist restaurant and the quality of the food shows....such a shame, could be better. The wine list is good, but really how could you fail in respect to wine when you are located in the centre of Bordeaux. Of particular note was the cheese board for dessert, which was extremely drab. Large quanities of very similar cows cheese that was too warm and felt like it came from a supermarket. Where is the imagination here? As other reviewers have said, there are much better places to eat at in central Bordeaux.
