13/12/2025: The gentleman there today… most likely the owner , must have been having a frustrating day and he doesn’t seem to know how to provide proper service to people wanting to learn and experience Bordeaux wine for the first time in the region. I told him I only wanted to try Bordeaux but didn’t know which one to try first. He got what seemed to be annoyed… maybe he didn’t like my French or my way of being indecisive. I asked him what he would recommend and then he said … oh bah c‘est compliqué…seeming to be further annoyed. So I left.. There were only 3-4 Bordeaux wines by the glass and I told him to choose … seems simple enough. Explain your two favorites and offer perhaps a taste and help me learn about them. Don’t have a business in a tourist area if you don’t have patience for foreigners… or people wanting to experience and learn from your culture.

06/03/2026: Eating lunch at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant for under €30 for a starter and main course is still hard to believe, and yet Gabriel offers it. Everything is perfect: the originality, the textures, the cooking, the flavorful sauces that accompany each dish. Gourmet food at a low price, and at that price I even had sweetbreads! You'd have to be crazy not to go!

19/02/2026: Gabriel will always hold an unforgettable memory for me. I celebrated my 35th birthday there in June, with my sweetheart, and everything was absolutely perfect. We dined outside, overlooking the magnificent Place de la Bourse: the setting was sublime, the atmosphere soft and romantic. The welcome, the service, the attentiveness, and the cuisine… everything was just right, elegant, and thoughtful. A beautiful and precious moment that I will never forget. Thank you for this perfect interlude ✨

16/02/2026: A small restaurant located in the center of Bordeaux next to St. André Cathedral. The dishes are excellent, accompanied by the courtesy and kindness of the owners, Marie and Annie. Thank you for hosting us, and we'll definitely be back, especially because I finally tasted the best cannelès in all of Bordeaux 😁❤❤💖 (beware of the rubbery, industrial ones you see around).

08/03/2026: Average experience overall. The waiter was very friendly, except for one moment when the dining room was quiet, and we heard a clanging noise on the wood... It was the waiter waiting for the dish to be served, banging his fists on the table, which was quite unpleasant, and this went on for about a minute. I understand the stress of working in a restaurant, but you shouldn't forget the customers! Otherwise, the pizza was good, it was just supposed to be spicy, but I barely tasted the chili pepper. The same goes for the chili oil, which was anything but spicy. The only thing that gave the pizza any spice was the pickled zucchini, which added a sour touch. The menu mentioned zucchini, but certainly not marinated or pickled zucchini, which surprised me a bit when I tasted it. As for the atmosphere, you can tell the restaurant has a bit of history; it's still traditional. In short, I liked it, but I wouldn't go back anytime soon. Other restaurants offer much better value for money.

29/01/2026: I'd like to share my experience at this bar; I came to the Cock and Bull with two friends who were ordering drinks (important for later). Since I couldn't afford it, but still wanted to spend some time with my friends at a bar, I didn't order any drinks there. The beers are €8, which is understandable in the city center, but way out of my budget that evening. So I brought my own beer without thinking to ask permission, and I admit that was a mistake! I'm fully aware of it! However, one of the waitresses' reactions was completely disproportionate. She snatched the drink from me, spoke to me very aggressively, poured the beer on the floor, then crushed the can before leaving with enormous aggression and disrespect. I completely understand that a bar might refuse outside drinks, but there are ways to say it. A simple reminder or a ban on drinking would have been enough. Her attitude made me extremely uncomfortable and shocked other people around me as well. It was a huge scene and ruined the evening, even though everything was going well. It's all the more unfortunate because, apart from this incident, the bar seemed really cool: the atmosphere was good, the other staff members and customers were very friendly, and there was a good selection of drinks and food—no complaints there! The problem clearly wasn't with the establishment as a whole, but solely with this waitress's behavior, which is truly problematic. Thanks :)

14/10/2023: The establishment is open contrary to what is written. Good reception, but very expensive compared to the quantity and quality. The taste of the cuisine is drowned in the sauces. Beautiful presentation of the dishes but standard quality. We find better and cheaper.

16/02/2026: Café Gourmand is a very friendly restaurant located on Place des Grands Hommes; it's become a regular spot in our routine. The service is impeccable, and the waiters are incredibly attentive. Both the interior and the terrace are pleasant places to enjoy the menu. There's a wide selection, and the portions are very generous! Highly recommended!!

05/01/2026: We love going to this restaurant for lunch. The welcome is warm, the service very efficient, and the dishes are generous and delicious! The prices are reasonable, and the portions are full. The owner and his team stand out for their genuine, personal welcome and sincere attention to their customers. Special mention goes to the Caesar salad and the warm goat cheese salad! I highly recommend this establishment, where you'll find a good selection, excellent value for money, and fast service.

28/10/2025: Delicious and original , decor is Architectual Digest masculine. Blanc de seiche with potiron et cepes was a lively change . Desert : rich chocolate pave with fresh cut pears and coulis de groseilles. I did not want to brush my teeth because the after taste was so good
