11/12/2025: We arrived after 9 pm following a show at the cathedral. We were greeted with a smile, were able to eat despite the late hour, and had a generous meal for a reasonable price: two Savoyard veal escalopes, two Pessac-Léognan wines, and two coffees for under €50. We'll definitely keep your address in mind for our next trip to Bordeaux.

29/09/2024: We ordered croquettes and a couple drinks. The service was great and the food was cooked well. We liked the sauce that was served with the croquettes. Le Riva had a good selection of beers and cocktails, although their selection of ciders was limited. Definitely recommend.

26/09/2024: Very unpleasant welcome from the (young) boss, she annoys everyone and the word is weak, it's a disaster TO FEE! And to think that I was a loyal customer!!! She doesn't like reservations of 8 people! dear consumers like me walk a little further and you have the Makila and the Trattoria (or the maritime café) with the same view of the Chaban bridge and much nicer teams

24/09/2024: I recently discovered the kebab at Georges, often cited among the best in town. The meat is well grilled, both tender and full of flavor, with controlled seasoning. The homemade tortilla pancake brings an artisanal touch that makes all the difference. The service is up to par: fast and warm, in a clean establishment, even if the atmosphere remains rather simple. It's the perfect place to enjoy a meal without fuss, but with authentic and well-crafted flavors. If I had to note one small point for improvement, it would be on the portions, which could be a little more generous. That said, the quality remains excellent and the value for money is very attractive with a menu for €9, drink included. Quick tip: Pay attention to the hours, as it seems that the restaurant sometimes closes earlier than the hours shown on Google. Today, for example, it closed at 2:30 p.m. instead of 3 p.m.

26/08/2024: I discovered this bakery for the first time and I was very pleasantly surprised. A super friendly welcome, lovely sandwiches and top notch cookies...I really recommend it and even if it's busy we're served pretty quickly

25/08/2024: Very angry, I buy a batch of chocolate chip milk bread (pistoles), 8 in total, most were dry and flat, mixed with fresh, I leave a voicemail no news, by the way I stopped and not taken seriously, my number was retrieved at my request, no follow-up either, I do not recommend.

12/09/2024: I have been frequenting this restaurant for over 10 years and have unfortunately noticed a significant decline in quality and service. We encountered several problems: forgotten orders and difficult communication with a server. My dish had hair in it, and the bread we ordered was stale. When we asked for a replacement, the new bread appeared to have simply been reheated. After expressing my dissatisfaction, a 10% discount was offered, but it was not applied at checkout. Fortunately, my partner noticed this, and we were able to correct it after leaving the restaurant. The staff seemed unprofessional and unorganized, which clearly impacted the overall experience. It’s a shame, because this restaurant, which is an institution in Bordeaux, deserves better, both in terms of food and service. A disappointed customer.

12/09/2024: Having been a regular at this restaurant for over 10 years, I have noticed a collapse in quality and service. We were served by a waiter who had consumed certain substances which were clearly visible to all, forgotten orders and incoherent speech. My dish was garnished with hair from a waiter or cook, we asked for bread that was stale, the waiter replaced it with bread from the day before put in the oven. Finally, after complaining about all this, this same server offered us a 10% discount noted on the receipt but made me pay the full amount without the discount. Thanks to my partner who noticed it when leaving the restaurant, I went back and this same waiter continued to have an incoherent and unprofessional speech and he struggled to refund the money in cash. Finally, all of the restaurant's customers did not smile and all seemed doubtful and observing the waiters who were more than incompetent and having worked in the restaurant business, I can recognize people who were not in their normal states. This restaurant is an emblem of Bordeaux and deserves better than that, both in terms of food and service. A disappointed customer.

28/10/2025: Great welcome with complimentary tea, unfortunately a major drawback was the taste of the meat which left much to be desired, the prices are reasonable.

04/10/2025: Municipal Health and Hygiene Department, are you asleep or what??? This kebab shop needs to close down, it's a disgrace to operate this business! This is attempted murder!

19/09/2024: Slightly mixed experience. The interior is a bit noisy. With the door open, we hear the sounds of the tram and traffic as well as the sounds of the bar near the room: ice crushing, mixing. The dishes were quite good but the dessert was extremely disappointing for the price. We paid 16 euros for a gourmet plate which felt like industrial cakes. It was dry without flavor without creativity. A cookie, a cookie with lemon. It was clearly not worth the price paid. I think that even Picard offers much more delicious desserts where I could have enjoyed them. However, the restaurant has potential. We will try again on occasion but without dessert.
