25/04/2026: The food was excellent and the service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cheeseburger, the Flammekueche, and the Caesar salad. However, we were served at slightly different times due to a 15-minute wait between the burger and the Flammekueche, which was a shame, but nothing serious. The prices are high, but it's absolutely delicious!

29/01/2026: I'd like to share my experience at this bar; I came to the Cock and Bull with two friends who were ordering drinks (important for later). Since I couldn't afford it, but still wanted to spend some time with my friends at a bar, I didn't order any drinks there. The beers are €8, which is understandable in the city center, but way out of my budget that evening. So I brought my own beer without thinking to ask permission, and I admit that was a mistake! I'm fully aware of it! However, one of the waitresses' reactions was completely disproportionate. She snatched the drink from me, spoke to me very aggressively, poured the beer on the floor, then crushed the can before leaving with enormous aggression and disrespect. I completely understand that a bar might refuse outside drinks, but there are ways to say it. A simple reminder or a ban on drinking would have been enough. Her attitude made me extremely uncomfortable and shocked other people around me as well. It was a huge scene and ruined the evening, even though everything was going well. It's all the more unfortunate because, apart from this incident, the bar seemed really cool: the atmosphere was good, the other staff members and customers were very friendly, and there was a good selection of drinks and food—no complaints there! The problem clearly wasn't with the establishment as a whole, but solely with this waitress's behavior, which is truly problematic. Thanks :)

11/03/2026: The owner was friendly and offered great advice on choosing dishes. The food was excellent, the spring rolls were generous, and the Peking duck and curried prawns were delicious. The dining room was pleasant and intimate. This was my second visit, and it won't be my last.

26/02/2026: A very nice restaurant, which doesn't look like much, but the dishes are very good, hearty, daily menu at a modest price, and moreover the owner (well I think it was him we dealt with) is very friendly and has a good sense of humor.

21/03/2026: We were delighted to try 1544. Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome, and the service was quite good. However, we ordered two cocktails, which were far too expensive for simple blends and really nothing special. But the starter and main course were served and eaten in 30 minutes. The starter was very good, truly delicious and well-balanced. We ate it in 5 minutes, our plates were cleared immediately, and the main course arrived a minute later. The main course was cold, and the sauce had completely set, as if the dish had been ready and chilled for 10 minutes. What a shame, because the main course was very, very good; we still enjoyed it nonetheless. We ordered two glasses of wine, and the sommelier recommended a No. 3. We tried it, and yes, we found it to be a rather good, unpretentious wine. Then came dessert. It was okay, but lacked the necessary alcohol flavor for a baba au rhum, and it was too sweet... After a coffee, the bill arrived... and we were surprised to discover that a glass of wine cost €25. So, the bill came to over €200. I think it would have been appropriate to mention that the glass of wine accounted for more than half the price of the menu. A real shame; this has put us off returning to a two-Michelin-starred restaurant.

06/03/2026: Eating lunch at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant for under €30 for a starter and main course is still hard to believe, and yet Gabriel offers it. Everything is perfect: the originality, the textures, the cooking, the flavorful sauces that accompany each dish. Gourmet food at a low price, and at that price I even had sweetbreads! You'd have to be crazy not to go!

04/03/2026: Delphine, Gaël, and their team always provide a top-notch welcome. This lunchtime, I have to give a special mention to the chicken tagine: absolutely delicious! And the daily special also looked amazing (ham hock with olives and mashed potatoes). A perfect combination: super-fast service, generous portions, and prices that make you want to come back.

04/04/2026: Absolutely disgusting, this is one of the worst restaurants. We ordered shawarmas sandwiches, and we asked for chicken but got meat. The meat was so bad it was unbearable; we couldn't eat it. We bought four sandwiches and had to add more. It's unacceptable to sell this to customers.

22/03/2026: The vegetarian couscous was good. The mint tea wasn't great. But above all, the service... a disaster. We called to make a reservation (they were very unpleasant on the phone, by the way), they told us they didn't take reservations (no problem) and asked us how many people we would be. I said 5, and they said okay, it's 6 max. We arrived at 11:30 am (for a 12 pm opening) to wait in line, and they told us they didn't take tables of 5. We explained that we had been told it was okay on the phone, and they finally agreed. And then, throughout the entire service, both the owner and the waitress were awful. We asked them what drinks they had, and they told us to get up and look at their sign. Then we waited a very long time for our food, while other people who arrived after us were served before us. Then, when the drinks arrived, they asked us to take our glasses directly from the waitress's tray. We were asked to make room on the table for the dishes. Two out of the four couscous dishes had a small pot of harissa, and when we asked if we should share it or if we should also get some for the other two plates, we were told very rudely that it was meant to be shared but that we could have more (in a very unpleasant manner). Then we waited at least 30 minutes for tea or coffee. The vegetarian couscous was good, but the service/experience was very poor. No customer service whatsoever, no smiles. We will not be returning and we would not recommend it.
