08/07/2025: The food was quite good and well prepared. The problem was the service and the feeling that we were left with that they wanted to scam us with the bill. To start with, they charged us two euros more. When I asked for the receipt, they immediately refunded it. When we checked the receipt, we saw that they had charged us 5.5 euros for a bottle of water, when we had taken water from the tap. They immediately refunded it.
I think you have to be careful when they give you the bill in this place, especially if you are a tourist and don't speak French well enough!

16/12/2024: For 15 euros I got three poor frozen green beans and three rounds of chicken ballottine, no dessert and no drinks, two slices of bread. I left there a little disappointed and above all I was hungry. I ended up buying myself a sandwich. It's a shame because I work nearby and I could have come more often.
14/12/2024: Go to a bar to have a pint for 9 euros. The waitress was not pleasant....

14/10/2023: The establishment is open contrary to what is written. Good reception, but very expensive compared to the quantity and quality. The taste of the cuisine is drowned in the sauces. Beautiful presentation of the dishes but standard quality. We find better and cheaper.

30/09/2024: We were served by a redheaded waitress who cleaned the tables backwards. The tables were covered in mites, which can happen. She was offended at having to clean them on the pretext that we had chosen this particular table and that it was under the chestnut trees.
This is part of your responsibilities. We asked you politely, and from the terrace we hear you complaining to your colleagues. Maybe changing careers would be a good idea? Conclusion, unfriendly service, deplorable even!

10/09/2024: An iconic family run restaurant positioned right opposite the Monument aux Girondins.
A very beautiful spot. We started with yummy snails and oysters for entree’s. The mains were outstanding. We enjoyed the prawn risotto and chargrilled octopus. These were accompanied by glasses of white wine from Burgundy, recommended by Pierre. Dessert was a must do. The Pear and Almond tart and the vanilla crème brûlée were delicious.
The service lead by Gaelle was brilliant and the decor and ambience in this restaurant makes any night special. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Correct product quality and prices according to the place. The service was a bit slow, understandable since it was full.
